Bachelor #1 - Oh boy. Someone was a naughty girl! That's okay. It happens to the worst of us. I have been in your shoes before, except I got caught red handed. There are a million ways to cheat, but all it takes is one time to get caught, but you didn't get caught, now did you?
It was so clear: A man-eater can learn to enjoy the slow pace of fishing.
This past Friday, while "Mr. Guatemala" tried showing me the ropes, I was smacking my lips, and licking my out-of-touch fingers, letting him slip away without a bite. But, despite a few near misses, he left a small nibble into my voice mail the next day: "I really enjoyed last night."
So did I. But I almost blew it. Here's what happened.

Over a few drinks, a friend and I got to discussing how unfortunate it is when a girl you've formerly had a crush on begins to crush on you, but then you, for whatever reason, no longer have a crush on her, or any interest in her at all for that matter. In my case the whole thing started four years ago when I moved to Chicago and was befriended by an incredibly nice, smart and attractive girl.

A few months ago, socialite Tinsley Mortimer held a casting call for her still-yet-to-be-scheduled reality show in Boston. The show was to be called Society Girls, and in front of its cameras a handful of socialites from a across the country would compete in different challenges, from schmoozing to philanthropy and manners. The winner would be deemed the "It Girl" and along with this title she would land the personal mentorship of Tinsley, as well as some ridiculous prizes like an "internship" at Vogue and an apartment on Park Avenue. Per my boss's suggestion, I went to the casting with intentions of blogging about it for Boston magazine's website.
But to my surprise, the casting agents looooved me. They were interested in me as a contestant on the show.

Exactly what I thought would happen when I set my goals, happened. Not necessarily what I wanted to happen, but what I thought would happen. Temptation reared its ugly head. Two days after I wrote my last blog, a friend and I went out to a bar. But I just drank water, until we went to another bar where his bartender friend gave us two free shots. Cheers to failure. I had gone a week without alcohol, but this was by no means the bottom of the downward spiral. That was all I drank that night, until five days later.

Bachelor #1 - The difference between slutty and sexy? That's a tough one. Personally, I don't find the word slut to have negative connotations. I've been called a slut myself and it doesn't bother me one bit. Usually, the people who are using the word as an insult are the ones who aren't getting any, so I say let them do or say whatever they want to make them feel better about their lack of sexual prowess.
