Things happen that make you laugh, cringe and smile. And as with any competition, there are moments that teach us lessons; not just about competing, but also about life. Idol gave us just such an occasion in the last show before America votes.

Idol hopefuls Angela and Thaddeus learned one of life's toughest and least enjoyable lessons: sometimes you can do everything absolutely right and things still won't work in your favor.

If you missed it, Angela was a contestant who had been on "AI" two other times. Due to life's misfortune, she was unable to continue in the competition even though she had been picked to advance in the early stages both the previous times. This year, Angela impressed the judges enough to make it all the way to the 24 finalists decision show.

She made the long walk to face Simon and the gang and they broke the news to her.
