omg...tyra how do u get does full bouncy curls??? n how do u get them to last???

Hey Tyra! Just wondering...How do you get those big curls done in your hair? They are so nice and bouncy and I think that would be a good look for me! I've always had straight hair (when its done)and everyone tells me that I never do anything different with it. To have those curls I think would settle the problem! Love you and your show!!

hi tyra,im ten years old and i love your show and i dont have hair i love but i still like it and i think everyone should love there hair no matter how it looks and i think all hair is beautilful,i have had tough time with hair even though im ten.

I just wanted to add my 2 cents worth. I agree with a previous comment; I don't think any of us are happy with our hair. As a white woman with straight fine hair, I have spent thousands of dollars trying to get curly hair with body, that would hold a style. Second point: there was not one woman or little girl on your stage today that was not beautiful, regardless of the style or texture of her hair. Thanks, and my mom and I always enjoy your show. I just saw some of an episode about "good hair". I did not watch more than 20 minutes of it because I have NO hair due to a health condition called Alopecia, and I haven't had hair for almost 20 years now. Do a show about something like that and maybe people will be grateful for what they have, even if it is nappy!

Tyra, I loved your show on real hair. I learned so much about African hair. I learned a little while I was in Zambia for a summer, but I had no idea what African-American women went through in the American culture. I personally think that there is nothing more beautiful then an African woman sporting her real hair. I remember first learning about perms and relaxers and weaves from a few African women I knew. I really learned to appreciate my flat, limp, greezy white girl hair after that, yet a piece of me always envied the amount of creativity that course hair allows. One friend even told me that she had braided her hair so much that she had bald spots on her head, that makes me so sad that anyone should have to do so much to fit in a culture. I am glad you were influencing women to be who they are. I also never knew that hair was so closely associated with class either, I never even seen how that linked, but again I am euro-american so I don't even see things the same way. I really long for all women to be who they are and embrace themselves as a whole. I know in my roots we have big noses, so I always envied African women because they can go with no bangs and look so beautiful with their beautiful facial structure. But again I had to learned to love my features, because it is apart of what was passed down by my ancestors and part of my history. I was so glad to hear of the book that was written about the roots to where the hair unacceptance came from, that again makes me sad. Sad that people were given special priorities based on

Hi Tyra, I just saw one of your older episodes about "good hair". I am a white girl who grew up in the "hood" of Milwaukee, WI with African American boys and girls and I was the only white girl in the neighborhood. I find it ironic that the African American girls want their hair to look and feel like a white girl's hair. The reason being is growing up I always wanted my hair to be like my friends' hair. I would get corn rolls, braids with beads at the end, use the same kind of hair gel my friends used, I would use their oil sheen, I made my mom buy bo-bo's (hair ties with little ballies at the ends) just so I would look like everyone else. I remember asking one of my friends if she could give me micro-braids like hers. I just want to make it known that it isn't just African American girls that feel their hair has to look like their friends because growing up I didn't understand why my hair wasn't like everyone else's and I tried every way possible to have my hair look like my friends'. Thank you for hearing me out.
