It may not be right... but it's true!
We want to know what your favorite stereotype about your race is! Send us a video of you telling us what is one stereotype about your race that you just can't help but laugh at. Log on to the Tyra Show community and upload your videos here.

And while you're at it, we want to know one sucky stereotype you hate the most.

Looking forward to hearing from you, things are about to get a lot more colorful!

I heard this stereo type that all black men are well endowed and i only have between 7 and 8. thats wrong. any race of man can be well hung

No.

Booooo stereotypes are stupid. I'm a black women and i dont like chicken, watermelons are to watery and not sweet enough, i hate greens, and i hate fish. I dont like soul food either i run to Burger King before i even think about eatin these types of food.

I saw your show on racial stereotypes especially the one of why black women stay in the hair salon for too long. It's that same stereotype that taught me how to cut, color and relax my own hair.I am glad that you clarified that either they are getting a weave or the stylist overbooked themselves.

Hey Tyra, I loved your show on 'Race in your Face'...but the stereotype I come across is more cultural than racial. I'm from Jamaica...and whenever I see a portrayal of a Jamaican in film and on TV, it shows us a Rastas(with dreadlocks), smoking Ganja(weed) saying 'yah mon'...lol. Ok Bob Marley was a rasta, but we aren't all rastas who smoke ganja, in fact people with dreadlocks in my country is the minority.

Hi Tyra, I love your show. I would love to see you use that national platform to appeal to our black youth in particular and our black community in general to abandon this ridiculous no snitch bull crap. We witness murders that go unreported allowing a killer to walk among us only to kill again. multiply this stupidity by every urban hood in America. Simple math tells us why theres so much senseless, unnecessary deaths in our beautiful black family. Tyra you are smart do a show to combat this madness. God bless and continued success. Peace and Love!

Hey Tyra, I really enjoyed this show about race.. Well I'm Native American (Cherokee)and Alaskan Native (Athabascan). I know more about my Cherokee heritage and the stereotype that still happens is that we live in teepee's! And we so do not. I think it's funny that people still think that and it's 2009. Also people think that all people from Alaska are Eskimo and live in igloos, that is not true, there are some Eskimo's but they mostly live in the Northern part of Alaska. But they do not live in igloos! Overall it was a great show, it was hilarious too...

As an Asian, I think it's kind of unfair and it's not very smart to invite a bunch of Vietnamese to answer the "Asian" questions. Not only Vietnamese are Asians! Chinese, Koreans, Japanese....all these people have different cultures just like Latinos and white people have different cultures! They could not answer the question why Asians love to dance hip hop because they are Vietnamese and the ones that love to break dance are Japanese and Korean! It's actually extremely easy to tell who is Chinese who is Japanese and who is Vietnamese but most white and black people cannot tell. And "White people" isn't even a race...I think when handling sensitive topic like this, things should be defined more clearly and in an more accurate way. It was funny to watch but to me it was kind of making fun inappropriately and unwisely too. It is actually pretty offensive for me to look at a Vietnamese guy who grew up in the States and eat fried chicken more than dumplings to explain why do Chinese eat chicken feet. Just sounded ignorant.

There are so many stupid stereotypes for black people it's ridiculous. I'll just focus on the ones that I've encountered. That all black people are from Jamaica. Nothing wrong with being form Jamaica, but not all of us are from there. The black diaspora is more than one country. All we listen to is hip hop. I know some black ppl who don't even listen to hip hop.

Heya, I thought the show was great! There were a few things that weren't discussed that I was wondering about myself. 1) Why is that a lot of black girls have a name that ends in the letter "A" or ends in a "uh" sound?? Examples: Shaniqua, Latifa, Keisha, Iesha, Bunifa, Sharifa, Latasha, etc. What is up with that???? 2) Why do a lot of black people say the phrase "you know what i'm sayin" so much???? I thought Mike Epps was funny in this episode but he must have said that phrase around 20 times!!! Seriously, what is it???????

hey tyra love love love your show well i'm Indian/Pakistani everyone thinks we don't eat anything but curry..... thats not true, we eat different kinds of foods...even from different cultures ...Chinese food, American food also, something about being smart and nerdy....no way we may be smart...because we study.but not nerdy, a lot of modern Indians and Pakistanis dress in the latest trends or go with the flow why cant anybody accept that

I'm black and I don't understand the fried chicken stereotype. I didn't even know that was a stereotype until I was into my twenties. First of all, I eat chicken maybe every blue moon. I hardly ever have a taste for chicken. Second of all, white people eat chicken too. I don't eat chicken any more than white people. How did fried chicken become a black race food? And watermelon-I hate watermelon. Why do people-even some black people-think that all black people love chicken and watermelon?

Hey Tyra! I love watching your show. Its like anything else sometimes I really like it and sometimes its just not for me. But... the show Race in your face was so funny! I'm from the south and grew up in a town where white people were the minority and black was the majority, (I am white.) It was so funny to hear people asking questions that me and my friends would sit around and ask each other in school. Like, girl, why do ya'll tan? Or why do ya'll put oil in your hair? But I think it would have been even better to go on the street and ask diffrent people why they thought their race done these things instead of letting one person answer the questions. Like, I put my child on a leash b/c he doesn't like to hold my hand and I'm scraced to death of someone stealing him. I do use a wash cloth we just wash them in the washingmachine after each use! Anyway I hope maybe you'll do this show again with some new questions. I love the ones like this! XOXO

Oh, and I forgot to add. I'm a white girl who knows how to make black eyed peas, collard greens, and cornbread. And I LOVE it! I love fried chicken and watermelon and hot sauce on just about everything. Stereotype THAT!

I think sometimes I hate when white people get stereotyped. Of course it is more rampant for non white ethnicities. Don't get me wrong that is a major problem. However whites get stereotyped as being racists with a superiority complex. If we act intelligent and speak well we are uppity. If we act and talk poorly we are rednecks. If I walk into a predominantly black bar I get stared at like I just shot somebody's dog. I just want to hang out, get my drink on, and dance like everyone else. I grew up in a household where racial slurs were common but I don't live that way. I don't look at the color of your skin. I look at how you present yourself. I pay attention to your features like eyes or smile and listen to your interests and get just as excited when we have similar interests. Man, that pisses me off.
