I thank Tyra so much for addressing teen issues (particularly in regards to sex). I know many teen girls who do all sorts of sexual acts, mainly so boys will pay attention to them. Tyra has addressed this issue very well, and again I thank you! HOWEVER, there is a missing link to this topic – the teen boys! The only way to put a stop to this is to confront and investigate boy’s thinking and treatment of young women. People think that teen girls do this by their own choosing, but the pressure from teen boys is REAL and it’s getting impossible deal with - particularly thanks to the media. I believe Tyra can and MUST address this issue.

I'm Christian teen (i'm 16) and i believe you should wait to have sex. I've seen the trouble it's caused in others life and it's best to save it until you got a ring on that finger and yor last name has changed.

Hey Trya!! Well I wuz watchin ur show on (teen that want 2 have babies.) I'm 23 I hav three babies not children babies. A 3yr old, a 2yr old, and a 9month old! They are my pride n joy and I love them a lot!! I started havin sex @ a young age very young!! Never thought I would get pregant I loved 2 party n do watever!! Never thought it would happen 2 me!! Wen I graduated 4rm high school I wanted 2 go 2 college n go 2 law school!! Well when I 2O I thought I met the love of my life knew him 4 4months got pregant the he left me!! I had the baby moved 2 were he was @ we got back 2gether den! Then it goes 4rm there had my other two babies!! We got married den not even a year later we were filing 4 a divorce!! -I raise my kidz on my own it let me tell u @ 23yrs old a grown women it is soo hard!! I work fast food tryin 2 pay off my college soo I can go do something with my life but not just 4 me 4 my babies 2!! Cuz we struggle on a day 2 day basies!! N I cry everyday cuz I feel az if my kids don't deserve these struggles that we go though!! But they 2 young 2 realize that we r struggling!! And these teens that want 2 have babies r babies thereselves!! Itz not a piece of cake there soo much more 2 raise a kid then they know!! If I could I would have waited till i wuz order n had my life together!! U know I miss getting my hair done and my nails n

Hey Tyra first i want to say i love ur show so freakin much! im 13 and im gettin a purity ring this christmas i want to get to prove alot and everyone now is like u shouldnt get it u never kno but the guy im with now is like ima let u get it and im so happy he supports me behind this decision when the rest of my friends dont but how do i changed the way my friends feel could u please help i mean m friends dont really care but i want to cherish it so wat do i do love ya and your shows are awsome i look up to you your so awsome

Honestly, sex is a personal decision and I don't believe in waiting until marriage. I think that girls AND guys should look inside themselves and carefully determine if they are ready or not. Don't just give it up to get it over with you'll regret it...but don't hold on to it just because its what someone else tells you to do. Your virginity is special but its YOURS you choose when to give it away...its like your life would you give your life to a hot sexy stranger or to the average kind person you've known for seven years? Think it through. I am 17 and am not a virgin but I'm not ashamed of losing it and I don't regret that decision.

i had sex 4 times in my life all with people i dident care one bit about. I was kinda dissaponted with myself.I made a rule that i wont have sex again until ive been with them for a year, and i have had many oppertunities to have sex and i wanted to but i kept my promis to myself. Good job to the girls who wait for marriage

TYRA I want to contact her about my 16 year old sister who is a virgin. Im 17. We are 11 months apart. I've had sex with several guys. She is severely depressed and is constantly pressured to have sex. My family and I always tell her to be proud shes a virgin because I regret losing mine. Shes so beautiful and blessed with an amazing voice. But cries and even CONSIDERS SUICIDE and I believe not having sex plays a huge role. I recorded one of your shows about how not all teens are giving it up to maybe empower her but she just started crying at the end saying 'I HATE BEING A VIRGIN'. She thinks that even if she waits til marriage that her husband will most likely NOT be a virgin and figures 'WHY WAIT?' Please someone help me find a way to contact Tyra. Its a bigger issue that I can explain. I cant watch her give something so special away to some jerk and be more miserable afterwards. PLEASE HELP PLEASE!!! -THE DESPERATE OLDER SISTER

I am 18 years old, and I am a virgin because I believe that God made sex as a gift for one man and one woman to be used in marriage. The Bible says that the two will become one flesh WHEN they are husband and wife. I have been dating my fiance for 2 years and 8 months, and we have been engaged for 2 months now. We love each other and don't believe in divorce or giving up in a marriage, so we know we'll be together for the rest of our lives, and we still won't have sex, do any touching, or even see each other naked until our wedding night. It is a huge emotional connection and it should never be considered recreational or casual. Whether you are a teen or an adult, you shouldn't have sex until you are married in a permanent relationship.

Hi everyone, I am 15 and i'm a "virgin." i claim that i'm a virgin because my most recent ex pressured me to have sex with him even though he knew i didn't want to. I wanted to wait for marriage to have sex. i say that i'm a virgin because i felt forced. 5 days after him and i broke up, he started dating my friend. he also did the same thing to her. My friend and i are now raising awareness about what happened to us at our school and helping girls with similar issues. a few days after they started going out, i thought i was pregnant. i was so scared, i stayed awake for days and cried for hours on end, everyday. a few days later, i had my period and i felt something kind of hard so i checked to make sure everything was okay. what i found still frightens me...i found a skin coloured, pea sized "thing" that appears to be curled up. i was wondering if anyone had any idea of what it was...please let me know. and for any girls or boys who were in the same "sex" situation as me, i'm here for you!! (and i understand what you're going through)

My name is Davy, I'm 15 and I'm from Philadelphia, PA. i dont think sex or any major, talked about subjects, should have a factor. for example, a lot of people use age as a factor in sex, work, and life in general. It's sad to know that life is so settled, it seems like the world is afraid to step out of its league. try something new. I'm not promoting teenage sex but I think some things should be rethought, reconsidered and given a new open settlement. ... I took the quiz on "Teenage Attitudes on Sex" and some of the questions were yes or no questions and some asked do you think "so and so" makes you popular. For example, one question asked do you think having sex make you popular, I answered yes. By me saying yes I mean yes, having sex makes me popular in a negative way. People love to talk about people who have had sex and who didn't like it affects them in anyway (gossip).

Keeping sex only for marriage is the best way to go for many reasons. I am a Christian and I believe that sex is a special experience that you ONLY share with your husband. Like anything good, it can be used in a wrong way. For example, computers are good inventions but some people misuse it to send viruses, hack into people's information, and threaten others by sending hurtful emails. I know these days a lot of people have sex way before they are even married and some people never even marry and have sex! It's a moral question ultimately. I know there'll be people who say they're a good person and they fell in love so they had sex. Falling in love is good and all but what if... what if you break up? what if he leaves you for some reason? what if there's NO commitment? Marriage is the tie that binds two "love birds" together forever. So sex is BEST during a marriage because you don't have to fear, "Will he leave me?" or "Does he really love me or is he using me?". These are just practical reasons. If you're a Christian, sex before marriage is against the Holy Bible and you are breaking God's holy law. That's just my take on things. I waited and I'm happy I did, in retrospect. I can imagine my life being so much more complicated and possibly worse off if I chose otherwise. It all boils down to a choice.... What will YOU decide?? Is this for real? I am 13 from Sweden and reading the comments. Some of them feel like decades ago. It is nothing wrong with being promiscuos. It is your life and your decision to make. If your guts tell you that you wanna have sex then have sex. Just use protection. And all this talk that girls should not give in. Hmm. What about boys then? Should they give in? This is the 21st century!
