As a person of afican decent who has never worn a weave or wig, I still hate kinky hair, I don't pretend or make no apology for this, if we did have a choice, I'm sure we would not select this kinky unattractive attire which has nothing to do with white people, afterall white people aren't the only race with straight hair. Hello Tyra! I really enjoy your show... However, I noticed that a lot of times you focus a lot on girls and what they do... example, on one of your show you talked about teen sex, but the main focus was on girls and how many times they have had sex and where they have had sex at etc... I think that maybe it will be a good idea to get boys and girls involved in serious topics such as this one. to be honest when I saw this particular show I was not surpised at what the girls where saying because I had a really good friend (who is a guy) doing worst things then what some of the girls where saying. he lost his virginity at the age of 13 and in the back seat of his parents SUV while they where in the car! I mean I think that girls are looked more down upon with topics like this, but they aren't the only ones, sometimes its the guy that pressure the girls? Just an idea... Yeah Tyra, one day without a weave doesn't make you "all natural." I heartily encourage you to lose the relaxer as well.

I've already started wearing my natural hair and i'm gonna stay dedicated to it for awhile.My favorite shows was light skin vs.dark skin,stereotypes,the make-up episode was cool too.

From what I have read, Tyra simply said she's shedding the weave for the season premiere...that does not equate to going natural. I have not read anywhere where her hair is natural under her weave either. Does Tyra still perm/relax her hair? If so, then she's not going natural...she's just rocking her own hair and not the hair she purchased. Does Tyra plan on leaving the relaxer alone if she has not already? If so, congrats! Also, is the weave-free look going beyond the season premiere? Let's not confuse shedding a weave with going natural.

I truly appreciate you going natural starting 09/08/09. I recently took that jump in August, wearing my hair naturally curly and not getting it pressed out straight. It was a very big change. My boyfriend loved it but I still didn't find myself attractive. I had always had straight hair and that seems to be the norm of going to the beauty shop several time in the month to have it straightened. I felt very insecure about my curls. I was told my hair looked like a jerry curl when i went out one time and that was very discouraging. I still continued to rock the curls because other people liked it and eventually I hoped I would. Men outside my race seem to be more excepting of it. Everytime i went out I would put on lots of makeup and longer earrings to distract people from looking at my hair. I thought it made me more attractive to be made up when wearing my hair. Now I love my curls and i get a lot of compliments. I see so many women wearing there natural hair and I wish i would have started long time ago because it would have saved me some money on buying weave and going to the beauty shop. So wear your natural hair Tyra, feel beautiful and don't fall for any negative comments.
