Here's an etiquitte lesson for Tyra Banks in how to deal with pregnant women in general. One basic rule of thumb (ie courtesy, common sense) in how to address ANY pregnant lady, (even one who is in this upsetting situation): Do NOT ever, under ANY circumstance, ever cause a pregnant woman to get upset. IE, Do not shame a pregnant woman and make her cry!! What were you thinking Tyra?? Regardless of the situation, she is still bringing life into this world and is very emotional and fragile. All of those strong emotions transfer to the fetus. It's not the baby's fault; the baby is innocent in this. The level of hostility in which Tyra treated that mother blinded her to the fact that the young woman has no family support, and she is alone in this world. Don't ask if the audience would prostitute themselves if they were poor; ask if the young women in the audience would consider it if they had no friends, no family, no job and no place to live. That was the real question. I was extremely disappointed by how Tyra treated that young woman who obviously has had not much love, guidance and nurturing in her life. One thing is for sure, she sure as Hell did not get any love, guidance or nurturing going on the Tyra Banks show either. Truly it was awful to watch.

I'am a new viewer to the Tyra Show, and I wasn't a frequent show viewer until I heard this shocking story.I dont think its right that this woman would sell herself let alone any woman.Your sexual intimacy's should be sacret. But this woman was already being a good mother by not giving up her baby and making a living to support them(herself and baby).Tyra was right that going to the bunny ranch isnt the only option.Tyra was being rude and immature about the situation. It shouldve been handled different. As ready as Tyra was to put down this woman she definitly shouldve helped her out and gave her money since she has so much of it.

also i am disgusted at how tyra handled things when she introduced "the jon". i would have expected tyra to handle things in a much more tactful manner.

government assistance isn't the cure all end all as some of u make it sound. a very good friend of mine is raising her 3 yr old little girl working where she can (many health issues), getting government assistance and has the support of many family and friends yet she still comes up short. she is smart w/her money and not living above her means either. she is trying to go to school too. raising a child is not cheap or easy...especially not with the way our economy is right now. also going to school for pharmacy tech for free and graduating in 9 months...i think not. i know someone who went to school for pharmacy and even talked to a few pharmacy techs that did a free program and the trade schools. the waiting list was a little long and the schooling took around 1 1/2-2 yrs for the free program. the people who sign you up (at the trade schools) will lie to no (about what you will make and what not) end to get you in the door too because they make money on getting you in. as for this girls pics it seems the episode is somewhat old and she had the kid almost yr ago from articles i had read online.

So I just saw the show today because I recorded it, and i agree with people saying tyra was too harsh, because she was, maybe she was trying to do it on purpose so that she can make her understand or i dont know. But also if she wanted to make ends meet, she could get gov assistance and go to school for free to be a pharmacy tech. and rent a lil studio and suffer until she graduates in 9 month, she would have food stamps and welfare meanwhile, the worst that could happen is that she would go on collections for a while untill she can pay her bills off. And I also went to the bunnyranch website and found her but her tummy was really flat. So maybe thats y tyra was so harsh? cuz alana's character was made up...

I think Tyra was EXTREMELY harsh, judgemental and very wrong to treat this woman the way she did on the show today. I have never thought of Tyra the way I do now after todays show. Don't know if I will continue to watch her now. Easy for Tyra to jude living in a multi -million dollar house somewhere being hand fed grapes. Not all of us get as lucky to be born with looks, talent, actress,or born into a family of wealth. Why doesn't every other country not make this into such a big deal as ours, who cares if ladies have sex for money, just so they are playng it "SAFE" protecting herself and getting regular check ups at the brothels i dont see what the problem is Tyra!

continued...support and because he isn't working and refuses to get a job she can't get the back child support she is owed even though he is getting government assistance too. He has 4-5 other children too. She has many medical issues that keep her from working much and she is getting government assistance yet she still comes up short. She has family helping her too. She works with disabled people when she can, but she is also older then this young woman with probably better training/experience and maybe even more schooling too. Tyra is suppose to be a role model to young women and yet she is so quick to judge. You can not judge someone till you have walked a mile in their shoes. While Tyra may have watched her mother struggle when she was younger I doubt her mother's situation can really be compared to this young woman's. Some of the comments Tyra made were VERY uncalled for and I expected better from her. If there are so many other options for this young woman why didn't Tyra offer to help her with school or a better job like so many other talk show hosts have done with guests (and I think even Tyra has done before). I agree with many of the others and will NEVER watch the Tyra show again. I hope you are happy with yourself Tyra...it seems your ratings are gonna take a decent hit over being too harsh with your tongue. Teaching people to be so judgmental is wrong too. All the money you have and you can't help this girl. It would even be a tax write off for you. You are the disappointment.

I just ran across this episode by mistake on a random search and watched it on youtube. At the time my thought was what the hell is this woman doing like i'm sure many others thought. I must say I had great respect for Tyra before this episode, but since watching it and hearing her reaction I have lost all respect for Tyra. I'm not saying I feel what this woman is doing is right or wrong, but I do feel that Tyra was way too hard on this young woman and the whole story was not told i'm sure. Many of us (myself included) can sit here and claim that there is no way you would ever do such things, but when it comes to the love for your child you will do anything to provide for them. You are all forgetting her age, experience, training, skill, schooling, financial situation, the economy, her pregnant state, etc. Jobs are hard enough to find in this economy and she is right that places will not want to hire her because she is so far along and wouldn't be there long before going on leave. It may be illegal for a company to do such things, but it still happens and can be VERY hard to prove. None of us really know what this woman's life has been like or is like. The father (only in name) has no right to talk. Why isn't he getting up off his butt and finding a job? Public assistance is sometimes a joke. One of my best friends had a child with a dead beat dad. You bring up child support as if it's that easy. News flash...it's not. My Friends daughter is 3 yrs old. she has tried to go after him for child

I just watched the "pregnant bunny" episode and I have to say, I am HORRIFIED that this woman thinks she is doing what's best for her baby by being a prostitute! She is a MOM and should be setting an example. Just because the baby is not born yet doesn't give her the right to open her legs to every stranger who gives her a little attention and money. She should be out looking for a real job, two or three jobs if thats what it takes. She should be ashamed of herself. What is she going to tell her daughter someday? Public assistance if used how it was originally intended is a better option than prostitution.

I watched the show with the pregnant girl who turned to prostitution, i guess like a lot of men i think a pregnant woman is very sexy looking. After watching the show i had a bad taste in my mouth for tyra as she tried to make it look like this lady was doing something she shouldnt do and that there were other possibilities out there for her to pursue. I went to the ranch site looked around a bit and found the pictures of some of the women that work there, i found alana love and in none of those pictures is she pregnant and she was showing quite a bit of her body, my question the show is did she work there before and is this just a good story to make a show out of it? things just dont add up here for me.

I thought this was a sad sad show. Obviously there are other choices besides prostitution. We all make sacrifices for our children. I would prefer to do without things and have my respect than have money and no respect. I sense that Alana's choice to prostitute came not from desperation but anger and acting out. She is trying to hurt and embarrass her family for not helping her by "getting back" at them. We don't know the before story ...How long did they try to help her and get her on the right path? There is definitly another dimension that is untold.

IM AM SO DISAPPOINTED IN VIEWERS ENCOURAGING ALANA. ITS RIDICULOUS. I LIVED IN A HOMELESS SHELTER FOR 2 YRS AFTER BEING EVICTED FROM MY APARTMENT. THE GOVERNMENT ASSISTED ME IN FINDING PERMANENT HOUSING, FINDING EMPLOYMENT, AND ENROLLING IN COLLEGE. I AM CURRENTLY PURSUING A NURSING DEGREE AND LIVE IN A LOVELY 3 BEDROOM APARTMENT WITH MY KIDS. IT WAS SOOOOOOO HARD. I SPENT MANY NIGHTS CRYING FEELING LIKE A FAILURE AND WAS DIAGNOSED WITH DEPRESSION. BUT GUESS WHAT. I GOT UP EVERYDAY AND DID WHAT I HAD TO DO TO MEET MY GOALS WITH 'WELFARE' GOVERNMENT ASSISTANCE. I AM NOT ASHAMED OF THAT AND MY CHILDREN WILL NOT BE ASHAMED OF ME EITHER. THEY WILL NOT RECALL THE SHELTER EXPERIENCE OR THAT THEY WORE HAND ME DOWNS ALL OF THEIR CHILDHOODS. DO YOU KNOW WHAT MY KIDS WILL REMEMBER? THAT WE ATE DINNER TOGETHER EVERY NIGHT. THAT MOMMY TOOK THEM TO SCHOOL EVERYDAY. THEY WILL SEE MOMMY'S DEGREE ON THE WALL AND GROW UP KNOWING THAT MOMMY WANTS TO HANG THEIR DEGREE UP NEXT TO MINE. ALANA BETTER GET IT TOGETHER. THAT NONSENSE BOUT NOT HAVING ANY OTHER OPTION IS RIDICULOUS. HER BOSS WORRIED ABOUT GETTING THE BILLS PAID AND KEEPING HER LITTLE CAR AND LIVING THE SAME LIFE SHE LIVED BEFORE SHE HAD KIDS IS RIDICULOUS. NOTHING WILL EVER BE THE SAME. GET USED TO IT. LIFE IS HARD. HE IS EXPLOITING HER FOR HIS OWN GAIN. ITS A BUSINESS FOR HIM. BUT IN THE REAL WORLD WE WORK HARD. WE FALL AND GET BACK UP AND OUR KIDS WILL SEE THAT AND RESPECT US FOR IT. NOT RESPECT US FOR GETTING THE PRETTIEST CARRIAGE, THE BIGGEST CRIB, THE FANCIEST CLOTHES. ITS ABOUT BEING A LEADER AND GUIDING THEM THROUGH LIFE WITH SOME HONOR AND RESPECT. SOME DIGNITY. SOME

After seeing this episode, I have honestly lost any respect I had for Tyra Banks. I cannot believe the way she acted toward this women. It is fine that she disagreed with the choices she made by becoming a prostitue while pregnant but I think it was uncalled for the way that she spoke about it. She seemed to put down the women and I feel like the guy who runs the bunny ranch was wrong when he said that she wans't making her cry. The wording and the things Tyra were saying were what was making the poor girl cry. It was just so uncalled for. You don't have to agree with what she's doing with herself but it's her body and she can make her own choices. Making her feel like complete crap when she has agreed to come to your show and talk about her experience is just uncalled. I won't be watching the Tyra Banks show ever again.

some people are being really ridiculous. yes there is little statements tyra made and she shouldnt off but i totally understands where tyra coming from. am 20 yrs old and i have no idea if one day i might turn out in a situation where i have to be really critical about my steps in coming out of that situation, but one thing i know and i have learned is that there is no amount of money that can be paid to me for the purpose pf prostitution. people especially young girls has forgotten their value in life and most times always seems to under-value themslves. yes she is about to have a baby and unfortunately with no help but be honest, was prostitution that ONLY option? its time human beings learn to understand the word and honest living and stop looking for the easiest waay out. i have accessed the average human mind and i realise they like the fast way to everything. i agree with tyra totally on her reaction because she is absolutely wright. there is alot more other options for instance child support, it might not been as much atleast it was a start while she as a young mother look for other means and ways to make a better living. "where there is a will there is a way"

I just watched the Tyra episode of Alana and saw even more of why I hate Tyra. I dont support prostitution but I also dont think it is right to make people feel like garbage for making their own choices. Saying things like "I think you are a disappointment" was really uncalled for. Tyra has no right to sit there and judge people. I was very happy when Dennis Hoff came out and stood up for Alana. This show is so ridiculous! This show proved how a person like Tyra Banks shouldnt have her own show and she will never be an influential person like Oprah is.
