IF SHE WANTS TO KILL HERSELF LET HER!!! THE ARE MORE IMPORTANT PROBLEMS TO DEAL WITH THEN OBSSESSING OVER A WOMAN THAT HAS PLANNED HER DEATH SENTENCE

I cant belive this.well first i love the show and second 1,000 pounds.CRAZY!!I mean if she wanted to have kids after she found the one for her she wouldnt be able to!1,000 pounds!WOW!

When your show either closes or goes to commercial you state "are you packing on the pounds because of the economy and junk food is cheaper" MEANWHILE the scale shows the weight of 112.6lbs., what in the world do you think this is letting younger girls think that if you weight 112 pounds you are packing on the pounds. Give me a break! For some reason young teen girls look up to Ms. Tyra and for a picture of women stepping on a scale and the weight is 112 lbs, and the statement are you packing on the pounds is being heard what kind of message do you really think you are sending these girls! Let's get real 112 is not packing on the pounds Tyra should know this the best she is no skinny minny! Change the # on the scale!

just found out that my boyfriend of 5yrs has been talking to a dancer at the club he bounces at. I am not happy about it and we have a son together and i am pregnant again. I don't want to flip out and act like a crazy jealous girlfriend, but i am so hurt. and don't know if i should just break up with him.

I don't understand why does she want to be one thousands pounds i just don't understand...

Many people still believe that excessive overweight is a weakness of character or just being lazy. On you show you talked to those girls like if they did what they were supposed to do and ate the right thing, they could be a normal weight. You haven't followed the latest DNA research. Most individuals who are excessivly overweight have a physical genetic problem. Researchers are finding a cure as we speak. Look at Boston Children's Hospital newsletter. They are a research hospital for students from Harvard Medical school. Stop blamming individuals for being so overweight! It's like blaming someone for having cancer. They are ill and their illness is what caused them to become the way they are. It is also connected to diabeates. It is a resistance to leptin and or insulin which is a medical problem and not a probem of self control.

Apologize for my bad english, I deliberate on its a nice drama of your writing. Sumptuously I be suffering with faced alot of difficulties in this term but your article discretion definately relieve me in future. Offer You

hi Jackie, i am 27 years old and very overweight(360)...i have two little babies that i want to be around for..i have tried to control my meals and excercise, but never could keep it up!! it is very frustrating...is there anything that you guys can do to help me out?

I think Donna is one of two things. Either she really is worried about her health and knows deep down that she can't go on like this, but is too proud to admit that she doesn't like how she looks and feels and that she isn't in control of her own body...OR....she is suffering from a mental illness. Also, all the talk about cancer was alarming, I didn't know obesity increased one's likely hood of getting cancer, so I learned something. But there was no mention of heart disease, which is the most likely thing to kill this woman. In most cases I don't agree with Tyra not allowing a guest to speak, when that's the exact purpose of having them on the show, but in this case I think Tyra was correct in shutting this woman up, because she was beginning to embarrass herself anyway, not to mention seriously offend people who do have cancer or what not, and, like JAckie Geurra said, DID NOT CHOOSE to have it. This disgusting woman is basically choosing to let herself become seriously ill, and if you choose that, then you should not choose to be a mother as well. This is a case of one or the other. To choose both is incredibly selfish and cruel.

punctilious post. simply one unimportant where I contest with it. I am emailing you in detail.

Dear Tyra, I am not sure that this is the forum as what I have is more of an enquiry than a comment. I have posted once before and will say here again that yesterday evening here in Nairobi, Kenya I once again saw one of your earlier episode that incorporated Tyra Teensville concept. I thought that aspect was very interesting and what was even more interesting was the concept itself, and its provision of space to allow young people to express themselves freely. Having experienced what we did here in Kenya following the disputed presidential elections of 2007 (the whole world was horrified as you would recall), as someone working in the area of non-profit development communication (media and TV), and also hosting a small show, I have been pulling my hair as to how to communicate critical issues to the youth resulting from the effect of negative stereotyping and regional imbalance that we now know fueled the crisis that has taken us many years back in terms of our desire to build a cohesive society. I was wondering whether there was a way at all for you to share the concept with us and support our replication of the same. As you would know, the media is now at the centre of many efforts to support development all over the world and certainly, Kenya needs it greatly. And by the way, if you should ever talk to "cousin" Barry ( I mean your president) again any time soon, do say hallo. He will of course not remember me for the simple reason that he does not know I exist!! But anyhow and with a light touch. Seriously though, let me know what you think about my request. Best, Dommie

I just recently viewed the episode featuring obese women and their respective views on their weight. While I don't agree with Donna's point of view on obesity, I do feel she was not given the respect DUE to any guest on the show. Let's keep it real, Tyra knew what was up before introducing Donna to her audience. It's called pre-interviews, hello???? By the way, I must admit I found Donna's post interesting? Tyra damn sure did fail to mention that she bought her the lb of bacon and dozen of eggs Donna at for breakfast, huh? Why would Tyra contribute to something that she is so against? Interesting. Ah yes, ratings. If Tyra felt that Donna was pushing the envelope I am confident there was much more professional/courteous manner to request she hold her comments. Had Tyra allowed her invited guest to speak, (they still do that on talk shows don't they???) then I'm sure people would have heard that Donna's point was that people are going to die of something. Again, I'm not here to promote Donna's ideals by any means, I just feel that she was denied the respect due to a guest. As for Jackie Guerra (con todo respeto), as a fellow latina I am disappointed. I felt she was being Tyra's personal Tio Tomas (Uncle Tom). I felt like she was doing a tap dance for Tyra as at the end of the show and post blog. Jackie-you appear to be a smart and compassionate latina! I love that! You don't need the Tyra Show to promote your own platform mi amor! Find another form to market your message. Take off those tap shoes. Si se puede, y Con mucho amor y carino, NachoAvgLatina

charming post. upright one detail where I bicker with it. I am emailing you in detail.

Hello, Ms. Banks This is Rocklette. I have written you my last letter until we meet. Listening to my spirit about a week or 2 ago it said that there would be some turbulance concerning you. Not actually realizing at the time turbulance is contributed to an out side force. I have asked myself are you the women who has the only saddle that fits me? Me being the untamed horse? It feels a bit funny and uncomfortable at first but a guess the ride will be smooth in time. I think that you are much better than what people accuse you of. Being a celebrity is not easy. I am 39 years old therefore i am not easily embarressed about a lot of things. It is very hard to get embarressed when i do not know anyone personally anymore. I hope that you will respond before i move to the big city. It would make things alot easier. I will continue to strive to be your number one fan. As crazy as it sounds, yes, i do love you. You bring out the things in me that know women has ever. Love your friend, Rocklette

I think an obese woman is mostly invisible to other people..meaning people do not "see" the person, they see a large body. Along with being invisible, people do not hear what they say either....if a woman is invisible no one is expecting her to say anything they need to hear. I also think that fatness is one of the prejudices that remains OK to address...people will make comments, stare, giggle or exhibit other inappropriate behavior. Tyra, I think you got caught up in some of this..you did not hear what Donna said and you would not let her talk to explain what she actually said. I think you should have Donna back and let her talk...she never gets to talk elsewhere where anyone really listens...think about it. I'm not mad at you however..I think you do AMAZING THINGS FOR GIRLS AND WOMEN..all of us owe you a big THANK YOU...even us that are "over 60". I,for one, say THANK YOU for what you have done for all of us.
