The Tyra Banks Show is teaming up with Modern Bride magazine to find their next Modern Bride of the Year!

Five finalists will be flown to New York to be featured on the show and the winner will be shot for the cover of Modern Bride.

Did you hear that Modern Bride Magazine is merging to BRIDE Magazine!! I read that these girls who appeared on your show yesterday were supposed to have a FULL page spreads, but now that the magazine wont run they didnt even get their prize. I was waiting to see since I voted like crazy for them. What a shame- can you imagine someone telling you that you will be in a magazine and then take that away! Tyra, I think you should get these REAL women brides and have them on top model or get them in a magazine. Its not everyday a "REAL" women wins to be in a magazine.. that is what we "real" woman want to see! Not models that dont look like the rest of us. SO SAD. help them!! I like Andrea and Christy the best to.. voted forever for them and I wish them all the luck.. they are beautiful real women with inspiration stories...TYRA let there stories be heard!

I wonder if the top five will really be the women who got the most votes, or if they'll just do a brown paper bag test to see who's qualified to represent Modern Bride.

Unless this belongs to you please do not take offense. So I along with "so many of you have entered (this modern bride contest), making their job of narrowing down the contestants way more difficult than they'd expected". Ok fair enough, so they had lots of good candidates to choose from and I can completely understand that maybe I wasn't what they were looking for, but for contest like these where you have so many entries which means there are plenty of people waiting with bated breath to hear whether they got to be a finalist or not don't even get a simple rejection email. I'm ok with knowing I didn't make it, I am not ok with knowing nothing. When 311 (musical band) held a contest for everyone who bought their album pre-sale they listed out who had won what on their site along with a thank you email for buying and entering the contest. If you didn't see your name and you didn't get an email that said you won you didn't win. I guess all I'm saying is that for the bunches of us who did not even make it as a semifinalist it would have been nice to at least get a quick email that's been mass produced and sent to all those who tried. Not only that but if they were smart they would know email's sent through a website like modern bride pushes their name up on the search engine list. Oh well their ignorance their loss.

I am way bummed. I have tryed with no sucess to enter this contest for a week straight. Every time I enter into the sights or click the links it will never work. I really wanted the chance to enter this contest and try to have a chance to be involved in this contest. I wish luck to those who have had the chance to enter!

Hey Tyra! I just wanted to say that the moment you announced the contest I applied. I wasn't always so confident about my looks and throughout most of my life I felt that I was ugly, chicken legs with an awkward look. It is still an issue of mine from time to time, but because of your show's influence and motivation (along with my two greatest loves my sister and fiance) I have gained the confidence to accept my appearance. I am beautiful at 5'8" 125lbs with a unique look that was given to me from my Pakistan father and Irish/Scottish mother. Dark hair, freckles, pronounced cheek bones, and eyes that can smile! ;) I hope I get to meet you in New York! Thank you for everything!

umm this really isn't a comment I really wanted to tell Tyra that I wanna meet and greet Ciara because she is one of my favorite singers of all these times I really wanna meeet her and I live in Kansas City Missouri I live in Grandview I can sing and everything like that so I wanna become a singer when I get out of High School I'm a junior bout to be a senior next year so I want the opprotunity to meet her really bad I want her to be on my first album

I just entered - but seeing that I don't fit the blonde blue eyed christian mold that seems to the grace the cover. I would be pleasantly surprised if someone like me makes the semi-finals! :)
