Over in the Tyra Show Community, Rebecca found a list that she wanted to share. It's a "Man Code" and it's chock-full of goodies like:

Thou shall not rent the movie Chocolate. The universal compensation for buddies who help you move is beer. A man must never own a cat or like his girlfriend's cat.

Crazy, right? So what about you? Do you have your own code?

Tell Us: Do you help a friend no matter what? Are you saving up a dollar a day for your dream house? Do you refuse to date people who wear the color orange? What's your own personal code?

Hello Tyra. I have just recently started watching your show and it has truly opened my eyes to the brutal reality of our world today. I have often asked myself after listening to a particular discussion on the show, how has our society come to be this way? Judging, discriminating, lying, using stereotypical terms, and etc. Then I also ask myself, how can we change our lives in ways that will not only benefit others, but benefit ourselves so much that we become easily able to love all of man kind, despite the given circumstances? I am currently a junior in high school, and I will admit that I have not always seen people for who they really are internally, but I have jumped to hasty assumptions merely by their appearances and the nasty rumors that are spread about them. I was watching the show today about popularity and the differences in teens that attend high school; I was completely appalled by a few of the girls, especially when one of them commented disapprovingly on the kids in the drama club. I have to say that when I was in my freshman year in high school, there was this girl that a lot of people talked negatively about, and when I finally met her I understood why. I noticed that this girl was very annoying, simply due to the fact that she was knowledgeable about many things that most teens were unaware of. I did find her to be abnormal because I had never met someone before that was so happy and so in love with life that it stood out as much as it did. Then I realized after truly getting to know her in theatre and in choir that she was the most extraordinary person that I

Well Tyra I watch your show alot now because of my mom. Oddly enough I really like your show and how it addresses things that are around every day. Like today the show on breast size. I mean, I'm only 15, and I've been blessed, or in my opinion cursed by my cheast size. I wear a 34 D. I always have problems finding shirts and dresses that don't show to much, or make me feel suffocated. I wish I had a casual sized cheast. MY friends literally make fun of me because my cheast size. I like my breasts, but at the same time I don't. If that makes sense?

Hey Tyra I understand the importance on your show about "good hair" and why it is so important. I'm from Canada and don't really know a lot about African Amerian culture and I found the show really informative. The thing that bothers me is all the focus todays society has on hair and peoples looks. I lost my hair when I was eight years old (I'm now twenty four) and it's sometimes really hard to fit in. I would be happy to have any hair. I'm not try to complain or have anyone feel sorry for me. I just think that everyone should be happy with what they were born with. I would love to see you do a show in the future about having confidence in yourself no matter what. Having guests that have flaws that they are not trying to hide and being proud. It would be really inspirational.

Tyra, I have to compliment you. I'm a 50 year-old white guy; and sometimes a grouch. I don't see your show that often. Rarely home @ mid-morning. But when your show first started, I frankly thought it was ridiculous. Obviously aimed at "chicks"; but also just sort of silly and all "fluff". Thought you were getting by on great looks and a killer smile which, obviously, have been very good to you. But you have really grown up and grown into it. I saw a re-run (2:00 am) of a show you did on racial perceptions and prejudice. (A dozen people in a room who were shown video clips shot on the streets of New York.) THAT...was good T.V., and you did a great, gutsy job. Well done! Last; on racism...I grew up in the South(NC), but family was Quaker and prejudice was pretty calm and subtle. But in the past year, while "discovering" the internet and looking for income opp.s...I discovered singles dating sites. (Not porn. Sites where women post their own info. and fotos.) It's been like getting a Masters' in Female Psychology. And I've learned that the most beautiful women in the world live...EVERY-where!!! That they come in all colors and speak all languages. I'm a guy who loves women anyway; and some of the fabulous black women that I've seen on these sites (and on TV shows like yours) have eliminated all vestiges of racism that remained in me. I really don't look at the sites much anymore. It was sort of a phase I went through, (like a kid in a candystore), and I'm sort of evening out now, but for a while I wouldn't even look at a white woman. And my conclusion is this: There really is only one "race"; and it is

OK I am a single mother of two kids and have had that dead beat sitting right next to me also! I hope this women reads all of the email she needs to know that not everyone thinks she is wrong for what she has done!I think that in todays world it is hard to get a job not only keep one! I know I was layed off and cant find work! I think that she is doing the best she can and everyone should take a look at her and know that that baby will be taken care of where there is a will there is a way! I would do anything for my babys and this just shows that she realy cares for this baby. In all of the clips you showed today not once did I see this young woman look happy to be doing what she was doing. And Thank God for her sister she needs her! The dead beat needs to git off of his well you know and help her she did not make this baby on her own and she is going to need help! Thank you Sarah

I live by a code it may be a cliche' but A Knights code. do what is honorable in all situations. Don't harm or kill any animal unless you have to. I can play with spiders and snakes because they know I won't really hurt them. help people who can't help themselves. protect and educate innocent people. consider any female younger than you as a little sister don't do anything to them you couldn't or wouldn't do to a real sister. marriage is sacred. if you plan to sleep around don't get married. don't harm another human if you don't have to. treat whoever I'm involved with like she's my wife show her the same love and respect I would a woman I was married to. I could go on but basically a knight code is about helping others and protecting yourself as well

Hi Tyra i just want to comment on the pregnant prostitute.Im 16 and pregnant and prostitution never crossed my mind and nevet will thats sick. . . wouldn't she be concern of getting any type of infection. . . how her baby could get them too i just see thats wrong about her. Prostitution is not the only option for her to provide for her child.Im not saying its easy because all moms know having a child takes a lot of money and all but, not for you to prostitu. In my perspective SHE'S DOING WRONG TYRA. If i had options she does too.

Hey tyra i watch your show all the time and just wanted to comment on the pregnant prostitute and i believe that no one should sell their body no matter what kind of situation that they are in. i have kids and i would not want to explain it to my children what she is doing is going to effect her child and she will regret it somewhere along the line i know that for a fact being a prostitute is not a way to live.

Hi tyra. my name is fatima hussieni from nigeria.am a great fan of your, there is nothing wrong with the prostitute been.your show has been a great impact in my life.i want you to keep it up coz i love you.

Hello Ms. Banks I Know that you are doing just fine. This is Rocklette. I have a situation with a cousin. He is currently living here in Kentucky. We do have the same initials of our names.(I never defame anyone's character.) He has a problem that needs to be addressed. He is an alcoholic and even reeks of alcohol and vomit. I used to drink alcohol but not to the point where i smell. I love my cousin and would like to address him in this situation. While he is not the most handsome but he is a descent looking young man. If i can smell it i know that other people are able to smell it as well. I would like for him to find a good woman and a good job. If he is with a women then she must also be a drinker to drown out the smell. I am a 2 minds are better than one kind of guy. How should i approach him? Love Rocklette. oh, i will send you a letter via-snail mail friday.

I would like to comment on your show that aired August 5, 2009. The pregnant bunny. I am 37 year old single mother of 3 and can easily relate to struggling with finances and children. I graduated as a RN 2 years ago which has made a significant difference for my family. But it was an immense struggle to achieve this goal. I currently work in the OB/GYN Triage Unit where I encounter pregnant women that are HIV positive and have no regard for their baby or partner, if they even know who fathered their baby. They have continuous unprotected sex without disclosing their medical issues. I also have to deal with a high volume of pregnant women that come in high on crack cocaine to deliver a preterm baby with multiple anomalies and withdrawal symptoms if not a dead baby. From my perspective as a mother and an RN in the real world, I feel your guest may not be living a life style that is acceptable to society but I commend her for taking charge of her life and doing what she has to do to take care of herself and securing a future for her baby. You and your audience were very judgmental and hard. The choice she made would be hard on anyone of us and most women would give up, but this young lady is fighting to keep her child and I do applaud her for sacrificing of herself for her child. I hope she can read this and know everyone does not look down on her for her choice. Thank you for your time, Cary

Tyra I feel that Love is something money cannot buy. Alana seems shes just focused on the money part, but she is forgetting that money is not the most important thing in lfe. The image she has of herself and learning to forgive those who didn't support her is very important. If Alana is willing to get on with her life.

dear tyra, i believe she has a right.if a girl gets pregnant and breaks up with the baby daddy and gets another boyfriend and have sex with him its OKAY.she's not only a prostitue but SHE IS A WOMAN still.she did what she had to do.my mother did alot of things and it made her who she is.strippers are fine but prostitutes are not in your eyes.your makin her feel horrible.she's pregnant and your pushing her.it's not her fault.some women do the SAME thing out there and people say nothin.she a LEGAL prosititue nobody says anything about the illegal prositutes.she was 6 months pregnant NOBODY hires.bills come.her babydaddy wasnt there for her.she cant help what happened.i support her but not what she do.a woman is a woman.no matter what she chooses.my mama worked her self to the ground sometimes you do not want to be like you mother.noboby is sinless and everybody isnt the same.you never know she might quit when the baby comes.i think you was too hard on her.sex is sex.if she cant get a job else where its her choice.she's most likly savin up for a apt. and things.she didnt abort she kept the baby.she didnt sign her over.its my opinion but still ALOT of women do it.my sister had to quit and we had to support her.maternity leave is not always gaurenteed.they fire you quick.iv seen that.she's still a woman.she does what she can.if she would have let her baby die she woulda been on the news.you DONT KNOW whats its like so you cant say its not a choice.your a supermodel.you dont know ma'am.

Welll, I think she has EVERY RIGHT TO DO WHAT SHE HAS TO DO WITH HER BODY!! But to me I think you was a lilttle hard on her and not on the dad of the baby and the family. She is still a baby herself. I heard alot on the show that there was ALOT of options for this child but not one person said a thing about what options she should take!!! Now, I heard working at McDonald's but we dont know if she is a high school graduate, or hold a degree, now a days to work in a fast food place you have to have experince and a high school diploma!!! we did not hear anything of that nature if she had one, but when you as a pregnant young female go to ur family and ask for help or actually telling them and then they say to you "NO i dont think so" I mean what would u do? So, I say to that we should have heard more options, and programs for her instead of telling her what she is doing is not right, who are we to judge? if there are programs for her then let someone be there for her so that she know whats out there!!!

I was very disappointed about the way this young lady was addressed on the show today. I can not deny the truth that this girl spoke when she said that it would be difficult for her to obtain and attain a job at being 8 months pregant. It's true! Let's be honest people! It's hard enough for highly qualified people (with degrees) to get a decent job in order to support there families. In addition, Tyra kept saying that "there are so many options" but failed in giving ONE specific realistic alternative. Tyra, are you going help her pay her bills?! I don't think so. Get off your "High Horse"! You know who is exploiting these people? You are. You were saying that the owner of the Bunny Ranch is making "50% profit off of these girls", right? Correct me if I'm wrong but you make 100% from these people because if they were not willing to come on your show, you wouldn't have one! Am I agreeing that prostitution is is right, "no". It's sad and extremely unfortunate; however, what is more unfortunate is how you believe that you are the moral police of the world.
