my thing is this and i know its going to sound like i'm complaining since i'm a gay male. your sexuality is given to you and you just can't choose to be gay on certain days and straight on others. what they don't realize is that they sending the message staying that gays "choose" to be gay and can "choose" to be straight. personally you ask me, they lying and are gay, they can't admit it. that goes the same for those claiming to be bisexual
Ok firt off me being a gay woman. Sean "the Advocate" is doing the same thing that a lot of straight people do to gay people and descriminating towards straight people. It's like people being in movies and tv and playing gay parts like Broke Back Mountain and the L Word most of those the people in both are straight. It's just people making a living. And I am sure there are gay people who do straight porn...it's just a big discrimination circle. And instead of worrying about important things like cancer and people killing people or trying to do something about the recession we are in. People think they have to worry about who people sleep with or who people want to be with for th rest of their lives. And most people don't fall in love with the gender they fall in love with the person on the inside. Love is love either way. But "gay for pay?" People are making a living. And doing something they obviously want to do. I dunno I just am sick of hearing about being gay is so wrong or that "gay for pay" is wrong. We already have enough discrimintation in this world...so we really need any more?

As far as straight men working in gay bars I have no problem with that as long as they aren't leading guys on and aren't assholes. I know a few straight guys that work in the gay bars I hang out with and I look at them more so as allies more so than anything. But when it comes to Porn and the adult industry is where it stops. Note that in gay porn it's not always about just finding straight men for these types of things.. I see gay men who are describe themselves as "straight-acting" whatever you wanna call it doing it, when most know all well it's not their first time. I do agree with the Editor for the advocate in saying that it does put out more negative than a positive but it also gives more and more closeted men an excuse to not be honest with themselves and say.. oh hey, well I'm just doing this for the money.. You can still pose or just do self scenes you don't have to perform oral sex but you do and then you still wanna say that your straight.. viagra may effect your drive but it's not an excuse. It's a cop out. It's the desire, not the act itself, that defines one's sexual orientation. Doing something with someone of the same sex doesn't make you gay, it's the desire to do something of the same sex that makes you gay or bisexual. That may have been a little redundent, but oh well, doesn't make it any less true.
You dont have to be gay if you have sex with the same sex because its plenty of times where you see people have threesome and they kiss and touching on the next person so, the people having the threesomes and stuff are gay as well if thats what your saying....
I am conflicted. . .I mean can you really call yourself "Straight" if you're doing BOTH sexes?! I mean there is nothing wrong with being bi. . .But to say that you're straight---but WILLINGLY having sex with your own gender (even for pay). . .Seems to me like you have some issues you are not ready to deal with yet! Most female porn stars who start with girls at least acknowledge that they maybe be bi or bi-curious to some extent.
