After watching this show I was struck with a few thoughts. The sister was supporting her.(she had already been a prostitute for a short time) Her support just clears her conscious. Why was the sister the only one in the financial bind? What did Natalie do to make money? Will the highest bidder get an hour, a full nights entertainment, a week? Is satisfaction guaranteed? If that slobbering old man was the type she ends up with now thats quite a memory for a first time. I wouldn't count on someone looking like Robert Redford.

im thirteen and i watch the tyra show. I feel like while it is Natalies choice she shouldnt be going on national television to make it public. Girls are very easily influenced until about eighteen or older. From seeing how natalie is handling her virginity frankly disturbs me. Im not saying losing her virginity needs to be extremely ceremoniol but auctioning it off is- in my opinion- just very low.As one women in the audience said that she needed money for her masters but she is going to work hard to get the money. I think that is natalie works hard she will not only get the money she needs, keep her dignity but also learn that if she works hard she can get whatever she needs.

I think that it's her personal right to do this. She is not selling her virginity illegally. She went about this in a safe, educated manner and did not just snap her fingers and come to this decision. How can you judge someone for doing this? It irritates me that you look down on people that do something LEGALLY that you find digusting. I honestly dont understand why people are against a girl losing her virginity for money when all other women have sex more often than not for something in exchange.Natalie has made a choice i respect,i really do:If she'd lose her virginity it should not be for nothing like some girls have done.For crying out loud,most of the females against her have lost the innocence that beign a virgin brings and are simply jealous they are not worth a hundreth of what she's being offered.Men love virgins and sex with one is fantasy to many.We are ever ready to pay if we can for a woman as sweet as Natalie. I admire the women who believe that her virginity is not what she claims it to be. She is definitely not a virgin to the majority of the population. After thoroughly reading these post i slightly agree with WREN! Especially the part you mention about the actors/models/etc auctioning their emotions. What i have to say to that is since the birth of drama and modeling and music and so on people initially had the same issue as you have discussed (selling thier emotions) but as time transpired, then people became more open-minded and realize that music, acting, modeling is a passion that God has given to these people and most of all it is TASTEFUL ART! Prostitution, on the other hand, is the world's oldest profession which came about because of DESPERATE women whom were after money. And yes you might say that maybe God gave them a gift at being good in the bed. Well if that is true then they might as well get a man, marry him, and have all the motherloving SEX in the world. But that is not the case for prostitutes because they sought after money like in this case. That is why it is wrong. It is exploiting SEX. She doesn't know the man and what if she becomes pregnant? Did you ever think of the complications this could cause?

I am watching the show, I am 10 minutes from the end of it and I have not heard one person explain to this woman the emotional aspect. The only points being made or for or against her right to do this. She is obviously an intelligent woman. I applaud, and if I were still a virgin, would definitely capitalize on it. I, however, am 35 years old, have been "around the bloc ' and know that no matter what a woman's intelligence, she cannot pull her emotions away from an event such as this. I think the way everyone was forcing their opinions on Natalie is the same as a man forcing her to have sex. This is her body, her life , her decision. No one should tell her what her fist time should be like. Even Sonia made the comment "SHE doesn't want to see Natalie go out like that". It's not up to Sonia what Natalie does with her body. Natalie obviously thought this situation through. She even did research on it. I didn't regret losing my viginity, but I wish I thought of selling it. I am no longer with the guy I lost my viginity to. But guess what??? I still have bills to pay. The worst thing that could happen to Natalie is if she decides to listen to everyone and do the "right thing" by having sex for free with a guy she is in love with, and he takes it and leaves her.
