hi im shianne about a yr ago i was sending pics to my bf now i jus found out somebody stole the memory card and now somebody has those pictures my life is ruined and im not sure wut to do! i want my life bak im a teen mom and nobody cares!

I think its a serious problem when younger girl and boy (11-16) are send pictures of themselves to others. It only takes one person to get a hold of someones phone and put the picture around town or on line. I had a bad time in my life when i was like that. DON'T do it. Respect your self. If you think the person your sending pictures of yourself respects you, your wrong. Your just something to look at. Respect yourself and save that special moment for someone to look at your body when it really counts and your really are going to be together forever.

Sexting has obviously become an ongoing phenomenon, and honestly I think it is sad. Honestly, I have been involved in it, and now cannot ever imagine doing it again. As a freshman in high school I did it, and developed a bit of a reputation for it, and that's not what I wanted. Sending nude pictures is degrading to yourself, and showing that you have little respect for your body or your privacy. The body is a beautiful thing that should be cherished and only shared with someone you truly love and want to spend your life with. At the time, I didn't realize the negative effects of sexting, but now that I have grown up quite a lot it is really a pathetic way to gain attention. I wanted guys to think I was hot, and I loved receiving risk-ay texts. I am now a freshman in college, and couldn't be happier with the decisions I have made and the relationships I have developed. I am actually engaged, to the most loving man who would never want me to send pictures over a text. He loves my body and wants to enjoy it in person-not over a small pixel screen. Sex is a very special thing that shouldn't be taken lightly, or joked about. The media has brainwashed these girls to desire lust and desire to be sexy. Sending naughty pictures to the guy in your math class isn't sexy, it's trashy. I really hope girls can learn to accept themselves, and not feel the need to commercialize themselves.

I am 16 years old and i just got into 'sexting'. Before I began I was one of those girls that didn't believe in doing anything like that. I thought it was wrong and setting yourself up. When I say I 'sext' I only send it to one boy. Not so he'll like me or anything like that, it's just for fun. The guy I send these pics to is very trustworthy and doesn't disrespect me at all. I don't send them all the time, only when I want to. I am not one of those outgoing teens who is involved in sex. I am still a virgin and plan to be for a while. 'Sexting' for me is a way of expressing myself without giving myself up.

lot about you

I just heard about this (yup), and my initial reaction was that it's just not a proper thing to do. But when I heard that kids were being prosecuted for it, it flipped for me, the government is wrong. Hypothetically, I send a nude picture of myself to a girl of my own age. Who has done something wrong? I mean, the reciever may not even have asked for it and just recieved it - then the reciever is prosecuted for possessing child porn, that's just wrong in my eyes. The sender knowingly sent it on his/her own terms (in this example) well aware of the consequences, and I don't mean being prosecuted, but everyone in school having seen you naked. That is the only consequence that should be! As long as it is kids of same age, it won't be that much of a problem. Of course if the picture is distributed by a small group of kids to a very large number of kids, it's just utterly wrong. But only then do I agree on a prosecution, but not a major one like child porn or something. My 2 cents.
