Hello Tyra. Todays show was interesting. I've seen Dean on one of the gay website, and yes, he's hot! He had mentioned that he had a girlfriend on the site so there was no surprise. As a gay man, I don't have an issue with what they're doing, it's their choice. I don't feel threatened if a bartender is gay or straight, it's a job. If they chose to flirt to get better tips, cool. As far as gay for pay, people do many things for money and to meet bills or whatever. I think people need to get off their high horse and mind their own business. Besides, being gay for pay means that there is a gay man out there who's willing to pay so it takes more than one for this tango. For those of the Christ cult, get a life and mind your own business. If you don't like something, don't watch it and then do the holier than thou crap and give everyone an attitude. To be honest, the thought of having a fling with one of these guys is a nice fantasy as being old, 50 in my case, and weighing a lot, 320 lbs. the gay community has little forgiveness for those who aren't beautiful. Oh well, life is never fair or perfect, it's how we choose to live our live and what we choose to do with it that matters. Good luck on your shows!

As usual, this was another fun and informative show. I would just like to say that when the gentleman told Tyra that he didn't think the straight guys should be bartenders in the gay bars REALLY pissed me off! I am a straight married woman with gay and lesbian family and friends. And for him to display his hypocrisy and prejudice just floored me. If a gay guy goes to get a job and is denied that job because he is gay then you holler discrimination from the rooftops... a straight guy gets a job in the gay bar and you say he shouldn't be in there. The GLB &T community have been and are still fighting uphill battles for their rights to: work in a fair and safe environment, to marry and even to have a family. A job is a job is a job. And with the state of our economy I say; Get in where you can fit in!!As for whether you are straight or gay... I say for any straight person male or female who indulges in sex with the same sex and the opposite sex, for whatever reason, is BI-SEXUAL.(Whether it's for pay or for play). About the porn aspect of it all, whether it is straight porn or gay porn, to me it doesn't matter if the ADULTS making the films are gay or straight. We the public are still buying the product so... whatever

I can't believe straight bartenders in gay bars was actually a 'controversial' topic! Here's why I think so: 1) It's a bartenders job to flirt! To EVERYONE!! That's what the best bartenders do, in my opinion. 2) It isn't as if gay people who bartend are limited to working only in gay bars, or risk being ridiculed as being 'straight for pay'. 3) People who go to bars generally aren't there to pick up a bartender, so finding out they're straight shouldn't be too much of a disappointment to someone ordering a drink. 4) As a waitress/bartender at a bar where mainly older men come to play pool and just chill, I flirt (as it's part of my job) but they all know I'm the bartender-I'm not trying to score with them and at the end of the day if I go home with a boy or a girl or even alone doesn't matter to them. Which is why I don't believe the guys that work at the gay bars really count as being 'gay for pay' Still a great episode though. Tyra show is always awesome (^_^)

First of all Pretend! Bullcrap! I don't even want my doctor to play touchy on a check-up. These guys I agree are male hoes and they are bi-sexual. NO REAL-MAN would just another man to touch him. I always believed gay is more of a sexual choice flavor, than a gift of god. That's just until someone can show that DNA genes can clearly show a person was born gay. These guys made my beliefs stronger about that. Soon everyone who have a fetish will be coming out of the closet saying that they were born that way. OH! By the way they may also want partner union benefits, too! I respect those guys, doing what they do. Until such time they get caught and face the law. Which will happened sooner or later. I personally think that this show, brought out a whole new side of striaght men that many people didn't see or know about. I really don't understand the big deal about all of this. So what these men are getting paid for having S*x with other men. WHO CARES. If it was women nobody would give a care. YOu have women out there doing the same thing and its no biggie but now since its men its a big deal. I also have an issue with the women who left the comment about sins and coming back to jesus. THis issue has nothing to do with jesus or religion. I'm sick of people bring up religion when it comes to the "gay communtiy". I"m a 27 year old gay man who doesn't see the big deal and is REALLY sick of people using religion to make themselves feel better cause they don't understand gay people and want to talk the time to find out. The guys in these show need to stop lying to themselves they are either gay or bi. If u have sex with a man and u have sex with women u are bi. Get over it!!! I think some of the men that work in the bar lying to people and saying they are gay or what not is not right just to get some money if u can't make enought money telling people u are a STr8 person working a gay bar then maybe u need to go get a different job..

tyra honestly i love your show. i watch it all the time. but you are being really rough on these people. this is there life, this is what they do. they have choosen this. their family accepts this. you have a talkshow. you obviously don't need this, maybe you don't understand why they do this. or maybe others in the world don't understand. BUT THEY DON'T NEED TO. these men or whoever does this. they do it. not you. so like stop talking to them like they are dumb for doing this. im not gay. but it offends me. the way people disapprove of others lives. its the way they are living and i don't think that should be questioned. it's just not fair. be nicer. they are nice to you.

Hey Tyra, Honestly I don't watch your talk show that often, but I saw the teaser for this episode and I could not resist (I do LOVE ANTM and CNTM!). So here are my thoughts/concerns. Perhaps my circumstances are a little different as I live in Canada and the perception is that we have a more tolerable society when it comes to minorities. I am 25, male, recently married to my boyfriend of 8 years, and according to standard labels am "gay". My opinion (not that it matters) is that I have NO problem what so ever with these guys working in gay bars/ stripping/ or doing gay porn. Why not? so long as they are happy who should have a problem with it. My major concern is with your panel person from the advocate magazine. What has the gay community been fighting for? have we not spent decades looking for 'equality"?? hence same sex marriage? well like what your amazing new president will help to accomplish, this leads to a melting pot society. Integration vs. Segregation. This is what has me concerned with the comments of the editor of the advocate, I myself do not believe in titles of "gay" or "straight", like the Kinsey scale we all fall in there somewhere but no one person is 100% gay or 100% straight. Someone that has lived their lives as "straight" can and has in the past, when in the right situation "fallen" for someone that happens to be the same sex and the of course the opposite is true. I don't go clubbing often, but why can't I go to a "straight" club? and why can't a gay club have straight people as guests or working there? It's time to drop the age old stereotypes and just "be". I

I was offended by the gay editor who ciritized straight men working at the bar (or any industry for that matter). What happened to first amendment rights? Just as every person has a right to chose their own partner or lifestyle (gay or straight), what about the freedom to chose employment or lifestyle? No one would be contending this issue if a gay person wanted to work in a straight bar.

I dont agree with gays or lesbians the bible didn't say god wanted it.As a matter a fact it's the devil's being. No offense to anyone but i do wat god wants.The guys really startled me with being gay for pay. I strongly agree with what the other guy in the audiance said i aint doing nothin strange for a piece of a piece of change. That is my new word yall.
