NEXT: You Tell Us: What if Your Mom had a VERY Hot Job?

These woman should not be judged for doing whatever it takes to make sure their children are taken care of, BUT at the same time they should not turn this quick fix into a career because it won't last long. When the time is right, they should find something they can do for the rest of their lives and pays the bills at the same time.

Tyra, I hope you read these comments other women have written and it changes you. I completely agree, you've never been a single mother or even haven'e struggles the majority of your life. How dare you judge someone by how they provide with their children with no help..you should give her props for even having taken care as good care as she has. You've started to take a tone that is very bias and it makes the show more like "The What Tyra Thinks Show" than informational on the subject. Please stop.. I like your show but I'm tired of rolling my eyes when you put your two sence in. It should be more about your guests, you host THEM. Thank you, I hope you change.

I completely agree with all of the people who are sticking up for the mom's on this show. Tyra, I'm sure you have worked very hard to get you where you are now, but not everyone is that lucky. It is no one's business what these women do behind closed doors, especially if it comes to providing for their children, Tyra you were very unfair to these women and I lost a lot of respect for you juding them the way you did. I know a dominatrix women that goes to my gym and she is the nicest women that I have met, and just because she does that does not make her a bad person. These children need to realize that their mom's did this because it was a way to provide for them, and maybe when they have their own kids they will understand that their mothers would do anything to provide and protect them. Trust me, if you ask a lot of people what they would do for a couple hundred dollars (I'm sure the moms are making way more than that though) you'd be surprised. I completely think these women deserve an apology for everyone who judged them, including you (Tyra). And as for the psychologist that was on your show, she should be ashamed of herself also...just because you have a degree does not mean you know everything, you over analyzed their opinions based on your biases and tried to twist their words, so you should be ashamed of yourself as well.

I usually love Tyra.. but on the show today about single mothers working in the sex industry.. i felt she was extemely judgemental. Being a single momma is the HARDEST THING in the world. Tyra banks knows nothing about this and if she's going to talk about it on her show she should at least accept the fact that she has no idea what it's like (not everyone can be a rich and famous super model!) and keep an open mind. Don't judge until you've walked a mile in her thigh high dominatrix stillettos!!!

Hi Tyra love your show I DVR it everyday.About your show today didn't like the way you judged your guest Tamara.dont agree with what Tamara does for a living but I understand. I was raised by a single mother who had a college education & worked a regular 9 to 5 job,but it was still hard on her raising two kids on her own. What I would like to say is for any mother who truly loves her kids she has no limit as to what she would do to care for them.Tyra I'm such a big fan of both of your shows but I think you owe Tamara an apology. To me it seemed as if you were pushing Tamara's daughter to say she didn't like her moms job when she didn't have to much of a problem with it. Tyra I think you should think about what you would do if you had three children & were about to loose your home, car & need to feed your kids. Now ask yourself if it came down to it would I do what Tamara did to feed & care for my kids.Tyra how can you judge someone if your not going to try & help better them. P.S. Do we or do you judge your friend Heidi Klum for how she uses her body to make a living.Men think about her the same way they think about the women on your show today.Remember Tyra Victoria Secret sells sex & you worked for them. Now when your have kids are you not going to use the money you earned with V.C to support them?

Totally agree with Day's comments.... I believe at the end of the day...these women do what they do to keep their family together and food on the table. While I've never had to make this choice - I respect their desire to do right to do what they have to in order to keep their families together. A little embarrassment is a far cry from in and out of foster homes and living with a drug or alcohol addicted parent....

I have to say that I found it very wrong for people to be judging Tamara because of her job...and by people, I'm naming everyone from Tyra, to her daughter, the psychiatrist (whatever) and the audience...I aplaude this woman for being so open about her job. Tyra, you were too mean about the whole thing...and her daughter should get over it...she says she could live without a new pc, but if her mom had a "regular" job, and she had no pc, she'd be bitching about how she doesn't have one... This woman is old enough to make her own decisions, and her daughter should butt out... as for you Tyra, lean back a little and just remember that not everyone gets to be a supermodel and have their own TV shows!

Tyra this is for you, Today's show was about Two mother's having jobs that one's daughter is not going to brag about to say the least. The first woman Tamara struck me as a very capable mother but also as a very liberal and open woman. In looking at the situtaion of this particualr case it's important to remember that she is taking care of her kids and she's not exposing them to what she's doing(the younger boys) However, her older daughter the 21 yr old knows and is a little embarrssed but respects her mom and her mom's grownup descions. I felt personally while i was watching that you were trying to coherse the daughter by making her say she felt hurt when really she's just a little embaressed but if she accepts what her mom does and who she is then why try and destroy that? The other woman was a slightly different case to me because she was publically embaressing her on more than just they Tyra show and isn't likey to change. I know that it's not particuarly fair but in my opinion if it's not hurting the kids and it's what you want to do AND LASTLY it's paying the bills then go ahead. HOWEVER when it crosses that line thats when it's wrong. So, in Tamara's defense I'm with her what she does in private is her business and as long as she's doing what is best for the kids AND putting them first then i guess whatever floats her boat. One last thing i wanted to comment on is the way you were standing up with the audience on the steps away and above from your guests. It made it look as if you were already on the defensive/demeaning before the show even

Tyra, you and the people in the audience do not know what Tamara has gone through. She is forty years old, and she said she was injured at work and lost her job. That was her skill, how can she get a job in that field now. I think the person in the audience who said go back to school just wanted to be on camera. It is not that easy at that age to go to school and than get employment. Most companies are looking for younger people. I am 53 years old and unemployed. Do you think I could go to school and start a good career now? Please let me know where I could get a good job. I hate it when people say there are jobs out there. It is hard to get on at McDonalds too.

I actually love Tyra, but don't like how judgmental she is. She claims she is not, but to me she is. Nothing wrong with stripping or even being a prostitute. As long as you don't break the law, do what you like. Besides, I am a model and my agency takes 15% of my booking fee. And Tyra had an agency at one point and took a % of her booking fee. So basically agents are pimps too. So why be against prostitution??? Its all the same at the end.

The lady who stood up and said go back to school and get a job. In this time and age its hard to find a job, what is going back to school going to help her, when she finishes school who say she or they will land a job. Its so many people who have went to school and havent found a job in what they went to school for. It pays the rent for them so stop judging them! Can you get them a job. What about parents that work long hours and don't have much time for their kids.

I am an entertainer in Las Vegas and have been for 5 years. I don't see this as a dirty job nor are the other people of your show either, they are just trying to make a decent living just like the rest of us and should not be judged for it. These women are honest, sincere and truly have a reason for the titles they have chosen. They are topless therapists ( dancers) and fetish workers. We are not having sex with our clients nor are we damaging the lives of ourselves or those involved. The daughter on this show is a grown adult and should understand her mother's need for income to support the life that her daughter is probably taking for granted. Like she said " Come in my house at the end of the night and cut me a check for what I need and I will stop." If you are smart about what you are doing and save some of your money and get a retirement going than who cares how you do it. Times are tough and these women of your show should not be judged for who they are and how they make ends meet for themselves and how they make the goals and dreams of the children and family of their lives come true.

THIS COMMENT IS ABOUT TAMARA(MISTRESS ISIS). AFTER WATCHING THIS SEGMENT I BECAME VERY ANGRY BECAUSE I FELT YOU AND SOME AUDIENCE MEMBERS WERE JUDGING HER. I AM A SINGLE MOTHER AND IT IS HARD BEING A SINGLE MOM WITH NO HELP. SHE FOUND A JOB THAT ALLOWED HER TO SPEND TIME WITH HER CHILDREN, PUT FOOD ON THE TABLE AND PAY THE BILLS. I DONT SEE ANYTHING WRONG WITH THAT. SHE WAS NOT HAVING SEX AND I DONT FEEL SHE WAS DOING ANYTHING TO HURT HER CHILDREN. IF I HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO HAVE ONE JOB THAT WILL ALLOW ME TO TAKE CARE OF MY CHILDREN AND SPEND TIME WITH THEM AND NOT DEGRADE MYSELF I WOULD DO IT. I HAVE TO WORK TWO AND THREE JOBS TO SUPPORT MY FAMILY. WITH ME WORKING SO MANY JOBS AND BEING ABLE TO BE HOME WITH MY CHILDREN MY SONS WILL GET BETTER GRADES AND MY 16 YR OLD WOULD NOT BE PREGNANT!!!! SO I TAKE MY HAT OFF TO TAMARA FOR DOING HER!!!! THE BILLS HAVE TO BE PAID AND THE KIDS HAVE TO EAT!!!! SHE IS NOT HAVING SEX, SELLING DRUGS, NOT HURTING ANYBODY THAT DONT WANT TO BE HURT OR BREAKING THE LAW!!!!THATS THE BOTTOME LINE!!!

i too am one for "live and let live" tyra should NOT be judgmental and so intrusive with her opinions and making advances with the audience to agree with her...many times upon viewing the show tyra's negativity pessimistic demeanor disqualifies her so-called professionalism role model or not...if one is to be a role-model let them NOT cast stones...the young lady whos mother is a dominitrix seemingly appeared ok with her moms choices yet tyra and her clinical psychologist seemed to have the answer for the young lady instead of allowing her speak for herself...no one have the right to suggest tell or demand how another feels and think allow that individual the right to speak for self...the young lady whos mom is a stripper has obvious issues...mothers are human beings created by god almighty with the right to live as they so choose...a model posing in a 2-piece bikini is an example of the pot calling the kettle black...its ok to dislike disagree and have differences but to be as judgemental as tyra banks is disgusting who by the way is NOT without character flaws and defects...a few select audience participants should NOT be allowed question the rights of others nor should they point the finger as if they have all the correct options for anyones life..."LIVE AND LET LIVE"

Dear Tyra, As an aspiring gender rights advocate, I was appalled at the tone you, your so-called "expert" and members of your audience took in addressing the dominatrix guest you had on your show. Attacking a woman who very clearly has found empowerment through this particular type of sex work is to the huge detriment of America's community of sex workers; to effectively address issues of non-consensual traffiking and sex work, the safer and more consensual alternative must be promoted rather than torn down by the self-righteous and highly publicized. I beg you, take a closer look at the causes you champion or choose to decry.
