AN INSPIRATION?!! How do you call yourself an inspiration to young women with topics like this? I have a problem.. I'm a 23 year old young woman.. The Tyra Show appears as soon as my 12 year old sister gets home.. some days she can watch it, with approval, some days supervised, so days not at all.. there are some really ridiculous shows that have been airing lately.. I really thought this was one of them. Even though this may be a highly discussed topic, and many are passionate and curious about it, for the time slot of this show, NOT APPROPRIATE. Lately all it seems like the show about is SEX SEX SEX.. Either its sexuality, curiosity, sex, sexual abuse.. I mean, come on.. I know the staff can do better. Tyra is too much of an icon to be stuck on this one topic.
Tyra I just saw the episode on “bar sexuals” and I really think that everyone was too hard on the two girls in the beginning who kissed each other at bars. I feel like this is a new time and people experiment now a days and it’s perfectly fine. Not everything has to be black & white, straight & gay. I love the fact that straight girls can appreciate other women and find other women sexy, I think it’s great. And who doesn’t love a little extra attention every now and then? I don’t think there is anything wrong with that. I don’t think it’s trashy or slutty and if so then you would have to consider every attention grabbing act as trashy and slutty and that’s not the case. I just think your show blew the topic way out of proportion and I really just don’t think its’ that big of a deal. (Although I do think that the 15 year olds kissing girls was wrong because they are at such a young age that they are still exploring and figuring out their sexuality and don’t know all the consequences of their actions.)
i am a lesbian and i think its teasing. i think that if two straight girls kiss turns guys on... but also us gay girls:) but if a straight girls kiss a gay girl it could turn into the gay girl wanting to be with the straight girl. which in my opinion is just wrong and it hurts. just my thoughts. love the show!!:)

Society has many facets and dynamics which are creative, expressive and complex. There is no law in the civilized world that I know of that restricts girls from kissing, for any reason. Obviously in a situation where there is no forced duress, a woman who kisses and flirts with another woman of her own free will, (for any reason she wants) has a right to do so. There are some venues where just any old activity isn't acceptable. Entertainment venues are for fun and in the context of enjoyment and entertainment, it is perfectly acceptable for girls to frolic with each other. Also, women have the right to enjoy each other precotiously, romanticly, and sexually if they want to do it as long as no laws are broken. Too many women are threatened and intimidated from physicly enjoying other women because of the bigotry and hatred of some small minded spitefull people. To all the women who like women out there that are scared of criticism, I say, be brave and good luck.
