A man's viewpoint: I can see what Tyra was getting at. She wasn't really judging them, yet she didn't articulate want I think she was trying to get at: the mothers showed NO emotion about what they had done. It was quite obvious that they shut down their emotions in order to survive and conduct the type of work that they do. Those women are like the walking wounded; their daughters were more mother-like and more responsible. I feel sad for the mothers because they have a lot of pain, anger, etc. inside and the only way to feel their needs is with money and sex. Underneath all this drama is a need for love, attention, protection, safety. peace and joy. I hope and pray that they can reconnect with their inner child and get back to who they really are inside. To Tyra's producers, lackeys or interns or whoever reads this. Your boss Tyra was way out of line today. She was not going to accept the fact that these women were happy, no there had to be a sinister reason why they chose the professions they had. I am suprised Tyra wasn't cutting onions near the guests. Is Tyra any better? People seem to forget Ms. Banks use to parade around on runways and catalogs in skimpy lingerie, bathing suits and other various articles of clothing which probably provided masturbatory fantasies for many males and also projected this image that women need to be a certain size and look to be acceptable. Tyra took those jobs because she was paid well. Tyra is nothing more than a megalomaniac who is only out for her self.

I like the fun Tyra topics and I like the sex topics too. I don't like how Tyra treats her guests. I don't see how in Tyra's world that a sex-change and homosexual relationships are perfectly normal but somehow sex workers are sinister witches to be hung? No child should EVER have to see their parents in an sexual act no matter what the age. That was completely inappropriate.My mom may be into weird things, I don't know and I certainly do not want to know. I am a very conservative type but I generally don't have a problem with sex workers. If you are going to be promiscuous you might as well be paid. The sex industry will always be around.

I am so fed up of Tyra passing judgement on people every single day. I don't see anything wrong with what the mothers are doing. Tyra you cannot relate to what it's like to stress out over where your next meal is going to come from, so back off.

Today's show was judgmental for me. I don't applaud what they do for a living but you don't know how it feels to have a child, your own flesh and blood starving and you not having a dollar to get something for your child to eat. I know there is a lot different things to do out there; but let me tell you things are not as easy as they look. I know from experience what it is to be struggling with kids to feed. I have never done anything like that to make a living, but you never know in the position that you or any woman might be to do this. Sometimes you look for any job. Fast Food, cleaning, selling, any job, and there is moments that you can't find anything out there and you need to work right now. Yes, it might not be the type of ideal job for a mom, but if they are feeding their kids and they are not stealing or making another person do something they don't want to do, SO WHAT?!! Tyra I like you very much. You are great role model for young women out there, but you've got to watch what you say and what you do. Keep it real and compassionate as you always do and forget about ratings. That's what will make you successful. Why don't we do something to help this type of stuff not happen instead of judging people? Sorry Tyra, but I had to tell you that. Still love you and your show. Blessings!!

I find it fascinating how in today's society, with all the power and empowerment women now have, that we are still being oppressed when it comes to sexuality. And the sad thing is, the ones who are oppressing us, are ourselves. Women are sexual beings just as much as men, and women have just as many freedoms as men. Why do we care so much about what other women do sexually?

Wow, I must echo the comments above. I actually thought I was the only one to have been appalled by the way Tyra responded to these women. I'm not in the industry, however, sex has been around since the beginning of time and these women aren't even selling it - they are selling the IDEA of it. Big difference. They are selling the same thing Tyra was selling during her days of modeling - no difference. You think a little wet bikini is really leaving ANYTHING to the imagination? The reason why these girls (the daughters) have such an issue is because of people like Tyra who ACT disgusted by it. As if it was not the driving force behind their own success! When people stop being so put off by the very things we all enjoy and have experienced at some point in our life - the better. To add - I have the same amount of respect for these women as I would for Maria Bartiromo. Point being, everyone is deserving of respect and should in turn give respect. Tyra, this isn't the first time I've been disappointed by your condescending attitude, but I felt so strongly that I needed to respond. I am watching this show right now and am totally shocked at how you are dealing with the women on the show. They are making ends meet in the only way they know and feel is right for them at this time. You are crticizing women who are wokring for money for their children. You have no idea what it's like for these women. Unfortunately not everyone can be a model and have millions in the bank. Tyra you are being SO judgemental toward these women. An audiance member crticized the dominatrix and said she should go back to school, but then what? She is making ends meet by doing this and having her independence so where will she find the money to go back to school? Are you going to support her 3 kids while she is in school?? I just think that you were way to bias and didn't really listen to these woman. Other than that I really like your show.

I like your show, it's a little trashy sometimes but it's entertaining. Today, all I can say is that I felt so uncomfortable watching these self righteous women get up and judge these mums. Get a life.

like usually i love how you deliver the show ou seem to project a sense of wisdom and objectivity but this ep really quite dissapointing you failed to look at the emotional reasons there are some feminist if not half of them who argue in this defence its all about empowerment and taking back thecontrol and the answers you were bombarding out of the daughter of the ddominetrex were very very biased and not in a good sense in the sense you were conditioned to beleive i cant even say anything very dissapointed

Hi Tyra: I am shocked as well as revulsed at what I am seeing. As a social work student who knows how difficult it is for women, especially women of colour to make it in life. It was scary watching your own biases taking over the interview, you managed to reproduce the stigma attached to women. It is easy for you to be judgmental because you have the money. Surprisingly I really felt that you became the judge and jury for this woman and another thing is you kept cutting her off. I have lived through losing a roof over my head and yes there were times I considered anything as long as my son has food. Where would she get money for a used computer. I am just gonna do me, hello, there is nothing wrong with that. It is not the way she had said it. I do not know what you can do to make this right, I feel you need to.

Hey Tyra, I am 16 years old and I agree with half of all these people on here.The show today was very outrageous.First of all to all the women who stood up and said something, You guys need to find a way to only speak about things you know about. Second of all Tyra you and the therapist today were very judgmental like everyone else said.To everyone who thinks that these women are WRONG for what they do your right they are BUT in the contents of the way their doing it THEY'RE RIGHT! I can only imagine loosing the house and car that my mom paid for for our family... it would be devastating. Tamara and the other mom never said they didn't care about their children's happiness... by all means to me they care a lot about their family's by exploiting their selves to provide for them. I'm sure they will be happy to have a "normal" job but the jobs they have pay the bills the fastest. Tamara's daughter was more hurt by actually seeing her mother in action and everyone's comments. It looked like she was OK with her mothers "job" along as her mother didn't get hurt.Also say Tamara did take a chance and go back to school to better herself, while she's at school who's going to be paying the bills? her daughter? no. and say she does get a job the job will have to make as much as the dominatrix because whatever the dominatrix is paying is allowing her to pay for a car, house/apartment, and her children's needs. Hi Tyra, I want to start to say that I really love your show, even if you hear it all the time!! When I saw this show I was a little bit overwhlemed, being a mother of two of age 18 months and 5 months with only one income (my boyfriend), I can't hide that it's really rough for us, especially in this economy, but I don't think that those mothers are doing a bad thing, especially if they like what they do. If they didn't like it and were still doing it, I'd say, okay, that's just too much, but everybody has their own choice of career, and if that means being a stripper, then so be it! Everybody has their own choices!

I rarely get to watch your show but I am so glad that I caught today's show. I feel both sides because someone's child you don't want to know what goes on in their parents sex life mother or father. But as a parent and a single parent sometimes you have to do what you have to do to make ends meet and to take care of things around the house. I feel that unless your back is up against the wall and you don't know you are going to make ends meet you should not judge anybody because this could be you.
