They might be pregnant, but they're still addicts.

With the addition of a little one to the family, the party might be over, but the adventure is just beginning -- but pregnancy isn't stopping these soon-to-be-mommies from indulging. And we don't mean indulging in a hot fudge sundae with a side of pickles -- we mean in smoking, drinking, even drugs! Along with a panel of experts, Tyra takes on a pregnancy intervention to help these women change their lives -- as well as the lives of their unborn babies.

NEXT: The Best Tyra Show Moment Ever!

Tyra, I am absolutely enraged with the way you handled these women. I am 6 months pregnant and I smoke. And the "doctor" you had come on and talk about how she is going to DIE and her baby is going to DIE, its a load of BULL! I have lost my brother over this, and I get to hear it from anyone and everyone who thinks they have a right to say something about it. This is my first pregnancy, unplanned obviously. It is very upsetting to me that all these people think they have the absolute RIGHT to tell a woman how to live her life. I do not care if it involves an unborn child, it is HER child, not YOURS. I feel that a woman should be allowed to do whatever she wants, no matter what the circumstances. You make me sick, sitting there on your couch batting your fake eyelashes with a little pout on your lips. Get real TYRA! You have no idea what we go through, especially since you have no problems. Try being a woman going through her first pregnancy constantly worrying about bills and where you're going to live and trying to find a job and constantly being discriminated on. Its a little frustrating to me that I can get absolutely no help with this pregnancy yet everyone is willing to step in and lecture you about everything you're doing wrong. BACK UP and mind your own business. Have you ever been pregnant? Do you have any children? Do you have constant worries about how you're going to pay bills or if you're going to be living in your car next week? I believe the answer to those is NO, so don't judge people until you have walked in their shoes.

I just finished watching your show about pregnant moms who are addicts. I don't buy that they cannot quit. I just had identical twin boys on Feb. 9, 2009, they were born two months early (they had twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome). Before I was pregnant, I was a pack a day smoker. The day I found out that I was pregnant, I quit smoking - cold turkey! Two days later, at my first ultrasound, I found out that I was having identical twins. My boys were so little due to twin-to-twin, they probably wouldn't have survived if I had continued to smoke (they were 2lbs. 12 oz. and 3 lbs. 14 oz. when they were born and had to spen 6 weeks and 3 weeks in the NICU respectively. Anyone can quit smoking if they really want to - I am living proof of that! I am still not smoking - I am breastfeeding and smoking effects the breastmilk. Don't say you cannot quit - if you really want to, you will find a way - I did! Feel free to contact me - I would love to share my story!! Oh and the women who talked about stress...I had a condition that could kill my babies, a husband scared to have one child let alone two, and a fulltime job teaching special education in Cleveland, Ohio - my whole pregnancy was nothing but stress and I still didn't smoke (and I had been smoking for over 15 years!!)

So i was a young mother found out i was 6wks preg before my high school graduation. I finished school a semester early, thank god because my parents were happy but i got into alot of bad habits during that time. I began to allow peer pressure to conquer over me. I did cocaine, weed, drinking and smoking. One day i just looked in the mirror and i was so skinny and ugly. I stayed in that mirror just crying for over an hour, that was my conscience taking over and helping me realize how horrible i was treating myself. After quitting cocaine and weed" for over 3mnths is when i found out i was 6wks pregnant. I am not proud but i can say breaking addiction is only your choice. I also quit smoking and drinking that day of finding out i was indeed pregnant, because i wasnt loved the way that i wanted to love my child so therefore i had to just alienate myself from the "smokers." I didnt see my mother, father sister... for about 6mnths. I surrounded myself with my husband and his family and they helped motivate and reassured that i could be the best my child needed. So i have been there and even though i missed my family and friends that smoked I DID WHAT NEEDED TO BE DONE FOR MY BABY!!! *my advice would be to leave the people alone who share that addiction as you do* if those people truly care for you they wont be mad or "hate" you for doing what a soon-to-be mother needs to do!! Good luck ladies YOU CAN DO IT!!

Hey, I just thought todays show was crazy with the cig smoker. I am pregnant and yes I do smoke. Maybe you should of just gotten crack heads up there are something. I am not going to jail for smoking. I can't kick the habit completely and have done a major reduction in the amount I smoke. Unfortunately, not all cases are like mine but this is my fourth pregnancy and the 3 kids I have now, don't have asthma or any other medical condition along with all 3 of them being between 8 pounds 7 oz and 9 pounds 1 oz. So I guess my kids are the lucky ones that made it past the statistics. Along with that other comment above I breast fed with all of mine and smoked.

I'm 3 months pregnant with my fourth child and i quit smoking with every pregnancy. i haven't had a cigarette in over a month. i've been smoking for 12 years (minus months being pregnant) so i know how hard it is. but, drastically cutting down and doing it because you don't want to hurt your baby, makes it easier. AND after not having a cigarette for a while, you get your sense of smell and taste back and realize how bad they stink! you won't want it! yeah you'll get an urge to have one, but it passes. i hope i can kick the habit for good this time.

I thought this must be a show about crack moms or the popular LEGAL drug addictions. Cigarettes??? You need to get off your high horse and find another cause. Tobacco has been attacked because something had to go and it was not going to be alcohol. I am not saying they are good for you but that has more to with what man does with it for profit. Tobacco is medicine and part of ceremony to many cultures. Pharmacuitical drugs start from something natural that the body understands and for greed it is transformed to profit for shareholders. What about the chemicals you breathe from getting your nails or hair done; or that "new car" smell...or I could go on and on but while we are attacking that industry we are missing the boat. I felt sorry for those girls you were treating sooooo bad. I would still take second hand smoke over a drunk anytime...but that is different?

Are these mothers serious? They are hurting their babies and really couldn't care less. All mothers that choose their own temptations over their child's safety, don't deserve to have their children. There are parents out there that can't have children, and then you have these mothers who take forgranted the miracles that they are given. Mothers-to-be, just think about the way that you feel when the drugs start to wear off and you begin to crash, just imagine what your unborn child is going through at the same time.

Im a 29 year old mom of 3. I did not smoke with my 12 year olds pregnacy. It was hell! I became pregnant with my duaghter # years ago smoked a little but guilted myself to quit. My 3rd pregnacy I could not quit. My baby 14 months old is cross eyed, near sighted, has a physical thearapist,an occupatinal therapis. Hes slow. Its my fault!! I hate myself. Every day its a strugle to keep going. If youre pregnant and smoke QUIT NOW!!

Helen if your kids aren't enough to stop your harmful lifestyle than you shouldn't be a mother either! How do you know your kids are ok? The effects of smoking can show up any time during their life and is PROVEN to cause learning disabilities. Educate yourself. I did clean my own backyard...when that pregnancy test read positive.

I think people should clean there own backyard b4 they try to clean someone else.I smoked with both my sons and they are just find. And for people to say stuff to this mother like im seeing on the show please get a life cause you do need one...Look she knows what she is doing but me being a smoker its hard to quit, its not the easyest thing to do..so mind ur own and the world would be a better place.

I am only 23 and I have a 1 year old daughter. I was absolutely infuriated with the guests on this show! Having a child is a gift and if you can't stop doing something that's harming your child you don't deserve to have children!!!!! It's called BIRTH CONTROL!!!!!!!!!! I'm only 23 and the day I found out I was pregnant was the day my partying and drinking was OVER and I never looked back! How selfish of you people!!!! You disgust me. What a disgrace to the mothers out there that can never carry a child of their own! I can't even continue...I'm so angry!

Hi Tyra I am a mother of two. My second child is 2 months. I love your show but hate the way you and your guest handled this situation. People often forget how hard it is to kick a habit. Or people forget all the mood swings that come with having a child. The first half of your show was spent attacking women who smoke during their pregnancy. I know it is wrong but if it was some simple to quite smoking like many implied no one would smoke. I would like you and some of those bashing guest to kick a habit like checking emails or texting for 9 months and see how hard it is to stop cold turkey. Being pregnant is a wonderful thing but there is a lot to go along with it. For example if your not told that you beautiful that could led to body image problems and so on. It is wonderful that you provided help but people don't need to be slapped in the face continuously before the help is offered. Again, being pregnant is wave of emotions and if you never been it is hard to relate and you showed that today in your show. I am really disappointed on how your character was displayed.

Alcohol is an organic solvent and damages the brain of the fetus two weeks after conception. Please tell our moms to be to stop drinking as part of family planning. Often they find out a couple of years later when they're child starts climbing walls. Real addicts can only be encouraged to practice birth control.

Hey tyra just want to say to all the mothers 2 b that they need to really think about whats inportant. I know it my be hard but when you think about the danger you are putting yous unborn child in is it worth the life time of problems you are creating.. Can you say that you really reaDY TO DEAL with the long trem effects that may come along with this child.....Meaning mental problems, breathing prob and many more? think about it. Why create a pobiem when you dont have to....
