Devastated gay and lesbian couples face-off with family members who threaten to ruin their upcoming weddings -- even refusing to attend the big day. These couples wish their loved ones would just put aside their beliefs for just one day to embrace the celebration. Will their wishes come true?

its funny how everyone always brings up the bible. Do ur history searching God didnt write the bible, Constantine did and he didnt even believe in it. Ur book that ur following was written during a time where women were property and men were chovanistic , perverted, horrible pigs and wanted everything to be the way they wanted it to be, when they themselves WERE CLOSET GAY!!!!If u look at history men were allowed both women AND men. Women were nothing but baby makers and the church actually promoted homosexuality for a while to prevent pregnancy and unmatrimonial sex. Please people do ur history before opening ur mouths, u sound like rambling idiots who want nothing more but to cry about something u can't control. Deal with it if God had a problem with it he wouldnt make Gay people in the first place. Its thinkiing like that that make human beings so destructive and dangerous, we will kill maim and hurt our own kind to go ahead or to be in control. This is why we have war, and mass genicide and murder. Fear and Hate are the main reasons and causes we have no happiness and no peace, U want a better world then forget problems like gay marriage and worry about how our children and childrens children will be able to survie in the not so hopeful and bright future.

Gn2:25 Its amazing how created us!!! I totally agree with MIKE "homosexuality is an abonanation its sick its WRONG marriage is a sacred union between a man and woman" Also Tyra or no one should try to make anyone feel guilty like they were doing on the show.

Cindy- What I believe about the way God loves, is that He loves unconditionally. He loves each of us just as we are. It is easier for me to follow His example than to try and have others live up to my expectations of them. I realize that when I impose my will on others it is just that I am trying to get my way. God never imposed His will on anyone. He has set an example for us and it is our choice to follow or to forge our own way. Granted, I may make poor decisions at times, yet, God loves me regardless. If I choose to cut someone off from my love because of the choices they make, I am then trying to manipulate the situation to get "my way", which is to get them to follow my beliefs!! I'm grateful that the God I know does not set such limits on His love and acceptance of me.

To answer your question that you were asking the mother about, "Why does she see Being homosexual more of a sin then other things she has done in life?" It's not that you see one sin more bigger than the other it's when you ask for forgiveness from that sin and make that promise to God to try to abstain from it. For her mom to go to the wedding she is telling her daughter that marring into this sin for the rest of her life is ok. Which she knows is not. It's hard as a mother to remove yourself from you child because of their sin, but if it's interfering with your spiritual life then you have to let go. That doesn't mean we don't love them or we have stopped praying for them. They are adults they know right from wrong and to make the mother feel that she is in the wrong for staying strong in her beliefs is WRONG.

hi tyra, as i read each of this comments on this particular topic it really touches my heart because this something very serious that our god speaks of in tha bible, and for everyone just to look at it as her life and her happiness.... Well what about god's happiness, thats what wrong with tha world their to busy trying to please man and not god.... i totally agree with her mother. She has respected her daughthers choice but she won't have an act in it, and It's not about being holy and righteous its god's law and we as human being must respect it to get where we need to be.... now me as a person i dont have anything against gays and their relationship it when it comes down to marriage thats something god created for a man and woman, and it not for human mankind to change

I truly cannot believe the number of people posting comments on here that do not support gay marriage. I'm gay and was born and raised in Canada. I feel very fortunate, because by the time I was ready to take this important step in my life, I was given full legal rights to do so. My marriage to my partner has not hurt or affected anyone. Canada has had same-sex marriage for the last four years. Nothing terrible has happened. Life goes on. For those who believe gay marriage ruins the sanctity of marriage, as Chris Rock said, what sanctity of marriage is there, when there are shows like "Who Wants to Marry a Millionaire?" and "The Bachelor"? Anyway, Tyra, you're the best and I love your show!

hi tyra!well...let me tell you some things first,im 17 years old,im from Argentina and IM GAY...i think is great then you are talking about this topic and i hope with this the people will come more tolerate with as because we are normal people just like straigth people,we have fellings and rigths too,i know this is possible because i have a lot of staigth friends and they love me just the way i am,thanks tyra and i cant wait to see you on america's next top model!!bye bye...

I am not for Gays or against them but I do not understand why people always bring the Bible in to it. Every religion has it's own Bible and beliefs just as humans do. Being critical towards Tyra's belief in gays will not get you anywhere. Believe in your beliefs but do not be critial towards others, since there maybe a belief of yours others are against.

way back then god use to come to earth and drop by to say hello. that's when we have a BIBLE. now wad? do u see god pop out to say hello?time has change and so are the ppl. its up to each belief whether anot gay marriage are acceptable. god gave us freewill. add on... way back to men can have more than a wife...u can have many wives... after christ we stick to one right? see the theory? god change and human too..

i think this is great. i mean people should be able to be in love with who they want to be. people act as if its a disease! being in love is surelly not a disease. and i support gay marriage even though i am not bisexual or a lesbian i would feel terrible if i couldn't marry someone tht i truly am in love with and i would feel as if my rights as a person were to be taken away. tyra your a great person and setting a great example.

Come on ! People are dying in other countries of hunger and poverty, not to mention the war in Iraq. Gay marriage is the least of our worries now ! Leave those people alone, let them marry. It's not like we can stop them anyway !

There are a lot of issues concerning gay marriages and I understand those who don't want to attend in this types of celebration. Everybody has their own view and we cannot please everyone.
