As for your other post, why would you want to take away anyone's rights? Blacks, gays, or whatever. Just because one person may treat you badly doesn't mean that every one who happens to be of the same persuasion is the same as that person. There are good and bad blacks, good and bad gays, good and bad white heterosexuals, etc. As for getting as much disrespect as someone who is transgender, I would probably have to disagree with you on that one. If you were able to live in my shoes for a day or two, you would find out just how difficult it can be when everyone may hate you simply for being who you are, not just one small group that may not like you. When you say things like gays think they shouldn't pay taxes, where are you getting this stuff from? It is absolutely untrue. No gay person has ever said any such thing. That sounds like something a heterosexual would say to push their own anti-gay agenda. Stop listening to propaganda and start listening to actual and real people who have to live with this 24/7. Our only goal is to be treated exactly equal to everyone else. No more, no less. We do not want special rights. We want exactly the same rights as you have. Why should we not have those same rights? Olivia, No, I am not gay, I am lesbian, and I am also transgender. Been this way my entire life. No devil came to me and gave me a choice to defy god. If you were gay, lesbian, or trans yourself, you would truly understand that this is not some choice we have made. It is simply who we are, just like you are who you are. When did you chose to be heterosexual? When did you chose to be happy in the physical body you have? You were lucky in that you never had to face being anything different from societal norms. But everyone is not the same. There is an average height, but that doesn't mean that everyone is that height. People can be tiny or tall, and anything in between. Every single person is different in some way--embrace that difference because it is what makes us human beings. And saying that gays cannot be Christian is just plain wrong. They may not be your sort of Christian, just as a Jew or Muslim or Hindu doesn't believe the same as you do either. Even within Christianity there are numerous sects. Who is to say which, in any, are right or wrong? How about the fact that to be a true Christian you would need to change and obey god's laws (such as you said), yet those laws include embracing everyone (read Jesus). There is nothing in the teachings of Jesus to say, love everyone... except gays, lesbians, and transgender. And I am very sorry that you hold marriage in such disregard. I have been married for 27 years. Even after my transition, when it is now considered by law as a same-gender marriage, it is something that no one may take away from me.

Olivia, I will say that you have at least tried to be kind in what you have said and not gone on a full frontal attack as many religious people have done. With that, I hope this shows you can be a reasonable person. With that in mind, I ask you please to take a look at the issue of basic equality for everyone. Why is it that god does not like gays or trans people? Jesus said to love and care for everyone. This is just something that some of us have to live with. We do not choose this any more than a child may choose to be born with a heart defect or cleft palate, or to be blind or deaf. You would never think to discriminate against any of those people, so what's so special that it is okay to discriminate against gay or transgender? Why is this so awful and so different than any other situation? You may not agree with it, and I would never ask you to, but what I do ask is that you should support the rights of all people to be equal. If you take away one person's rights, then what is to stop someone else from taking away your rights? I am a human being, and I should be afforded the same exact rights as you. To michelle I'm really sorry but I do not help teens with sexual issues or gay teens because I am not gay nor can I relate to that like I said I'm sorry if I sound judgmental or if you don't like it but if I wasent taking responsibilty for my actions do you think I would be apologizing right now? Olivia, It is hard to misunderstand you when you are sitting in judgment. You say you are not, yet you are. Look at just one thing you said: "I don't think being gay is right and I also don't think that being christian and gay can match up" That is a personal judgment on your part. You say you don't want to offend anyone, yet you say that who they are is wrong and that they will be punished by god. That is offensive. To be a good christian you must be able to understand just how offensive it is to tell someone that who they are, to the very core of their being, is wrong. And yes, I very much worry about those teens you are talking to on suicide prevention. Just because you are a teen does not mean that you are being understanding and helpful to their situation. Maybe they need someone to not be judgmental and tell them that they are wrong just because they are gay or transgender, that the wrath of god will be upon them if they do not repent. This is the absolute worst thing you could possibly tell someone who is facing sexual and gender identity issues as a teen. I would highly recommend that you stop doing this work as it can be nothing but detrimental to someone's life, and could even end it. Suicides and attempted suicides amongst transgenders is already over the 50 percent mark. Do not add to that grief. Do what Jesus would have done, accept people for who they are without any pre-judgment That's what the bible teaches.

Olivia, See, we do see exactly where you are coming from. I guess this is where a lot of people might take issue with what you are saying. You say you are not perfect and that you are no better than anyone else, then you talk about how horribly wrong Isis is for being who she is. You are the one sitting in judgment, no one else. Yet you don't want to take responsibility for your own actions. This is exactly what Tyra was saying to Clark, she has to take responsibility for her hatred and bigotry, and not use god or her upbringing as an excuse. And yes, you can be both in favor of gay marriage and be a christian, and in fact a heck of a lot better christian than you are professing to be. You'd be amazed at how many churches are fully accepting of gay marriage because they understand that everyone is equal and should not be discriminated against by bigots. To tell you the truth, I am actually very scared to learn that you help suicidal teens. There are many teens who get suicidal because of their sexuality or gender issues. If someone such as yourself is to sit in judgment of them and tell them they are wrong, I would not be surprised to hear that you have done nothing to prevent their suicide.

I was super disapponted with this eposide of the Tyra show. I feel Tyra was extremely rude to Clark. Why would you invite someone to be on your show just to gang up on them and make them feel small. I think it was so petty and low. Yea, Clark isn't perfect. She was also put on the spot on national T.V! Tyra I just hope next time you plan on doing something like this again you should think that you are making yourself no better then the person you feel is being judgemental.
