The ultimate tribute to why different is beautiful!

Would you be brave enough to rock your ugly? Tyra is exploring the meaning of "ugly" with some social experiments that will shock you! Meet a group of women who say they're ugly if they can't wear makeup or rock a weave. Will things really get ugly once Tyra takes away these beauty crutches?

I have a really long pointy chin, and a long pointy nose too... But ive been told I have a unique look, witch is always good to be different. I have huge hips! But i'm only 13! So I hate how all my friends are tiny little sticks, and i'm going into high school, like the only one with huge hips... I know guys seem to like girls with hips, but I'm not confident with them at my age.. Other than that, I guess I could say I rock my ugly :)

wow 1st i want to say that i have been a fan of you tyra since i was a little girl im 17 now and i have never worn makeup besides mascara a few times and i've never wanted to mess up my skin but i do think make up is supposed to enhance your beauty and i would like to wear it but my boyfriend gets angry even if i have glitter on my face i dont know what to do because i see people on tv with make up and when done right there is a radiance about them and i want that but i dont want to be a cake face how do i find a happy medium without overwhelming my boyfriend and other friends

just a thought... the girls who REALLY are 10s... they are the ones who dont think they are. im not saying its the girls who hated something or everything about themselves. im saying its the girls who are confident about themselves, but not OVERLY confident. not cocky. its the girls who are confident and know they are pretty, and who accept all their flaws and realize that their "flaws" are what make them different, and beautiful. the 10s are also the girls who have the beautiful personality also. if you arent nice, but you are attractive, that doesnt mean you are a 10. you have to be modest, and think you are attractive. you have to love yourself for you. Always be strong. Never give up. Always believe in yourself. :)

It really irritated me to watch that overweight guest refuse to marry her boyfriend because she was fat. He clearly adored the dirt she walked on and yet she continues to eat herself to tears. If she really loved him she would stop hurting him by losing the weight or shutting up about it! At least she has something she can control. I wont walk down the aisle with my cutie until my teeth are fixed. I am just like her in which she says she wants to feel beautiful on that day... But you better believe that I dont make it a habit to let my self consciousness get in the way of our everyday relationship.

Hey tyra on the "Rock your ugly show" was really good but I think you should of rocked your ugly(: like take off your makeup and take out your weave! dont you think but you are very gorgeuss(:

i hate tyra!

Hey Tyra! My ugly is probably a different kind of ugly then you've been hearing about. Ever since I was a tiny first grader, I was short but had muscles. What sport does that call for? haha, yeah girl I'm a gymnast! I rock my ugly every day!

Hello, Today I watched a re-run show of Tyra from 2008. One of the topics was on dating and learning to follow your instincts on dates. And there was on expert on facial feautures, and how to read certain facial features. The problem I had was when a pic of Chris Brown came up. She had explained that his face read of sweet and "he would be a good father to Rihanna's kids" and that he is "goood with animals". Obviously since his brutal attack on girlfriend Rihanna this is no longer true about Chris Brown's squeeky clean image. I just thought I should point out that mistake of judging someone based on their outer looks.

I think these girls are acting a little bit bitchy beacause if you can't deal with the way you look without make-up without a weave than your always ugly. For you to be beautiful you need to feel good about who you really are. You need to show who you are once a while without the make-up or the weave.

in true God's eyes, there is nothing ugly on this earth.infact, anywhere you are is your garden of eden and he loves all regions of the world as HE is the creator..even when we the beautyfull,of which all of us are, become older and seem ugly,we still remain God's most expensive antiques. TAMBUA VILLAGE(tv), HAMISI(vihiga),KENYA.

A lot of the girls on the show were ugly even with their hair and makeup. So what? Why is being ugly so offensive? Ugly people are the most discriminated against in this society, the word ugly is basically like the N word now. Why not do a show entitled "ugly" is the new black, because us ugly girls get tons of discrimination in this world. So much so we try and change ourselves just to avoid being called ugly.

Hey tyra, I absolutely love your show!!! It is very inspiring!! Every where I go I get compliments from people saying how pretty I am and how cute I'm dressed. I do not leave the house unless I am presentable. Nothing less than casual..i'm the fashion bug of this town !! I get compliments all the time but on the inside I do not believe. I think i am pretty but then i see another pretty girl and compare compare compare!! I always see something about someone else i want and put down what God has given me!!I have a little waist, wide hips, and some thick thighs!! so it is easy to compare!! I have learned to be very thankful for what i have and your show reminds me to be!!! thank you!!!

DEAR TYRA, THANX TYRA 4 DOIN MI SHOW CUZ I THINK I'M DA UGLIEST GURL IN DA WORLD. THEN I SHOW DIS SHOW!!! THANK U TYRA VERY MUCH

July 30, 2009 Dear Tyra I just wanted to take a moment to write you and thank you for the inspirational show’s that you and your team has put together. I just find them so in powering not just too young women but also to older women like myself (I’m 40). I was watching your show today about ROCKEN YOUR UGLY and I was just so inspired by what you had to say that it made me want to change the whole way I look at myself. When I was younger I was teased a lot by people, even some of my friends would make it a point to point out my flaws which has made me very self conscious even as adult. I have spent a lot of time worrying about the things that I wish I could change about myself but after watching your show today no more, I am beautiful. So what I have bags under my eyes. So what my butt isn’t big and plump. So what my eyelashes are thin. I am a stay at home mom with triplet girls and a wonderful husband who loves me for who I am. I am truly blessed plus I have some rocken a** claves that look dame good in some stilettos you know what I’m saying. I just wanted to tell you Thank you. I love your show and I hope are on the air for years to come because my middle daughter Mikayla said she wants to grow up and be a top model just like you and I think that would be a good thing. Best Regards
