Wow as a mother with two gay children who I love dearly. Hell yes I would attend their wedding and would be proud of it. My God teaches love not hate. And he said that we were all made in his image!! and that he loves us. My kids didn't ask to be gay they were born this way. Hi Tyra I do watch your show sometimes and I'm happy to see how you've been helping people to fulfil their dreams and to express themselves. I've seen your overwhelming love for the homosexuals and that is great, but it does not mean compromising with their behavior. Homosexuality is wrong. It is against nature. Animals teach us, insects teach us, they mate the opposite sex. If we can't learn from God's word, then learn from nature. Read Leviticus 20 and especially Verse 13. I have no problem with gay marriage, but if I did and, were therefore uncomfortable, I would still attend the wedding. I may not always agree with my loved one's choices, but if it's something they truly believe in...I'll support them.

Hi, i really dont think its wrong to marry a person of the same sex. i was raised to respect peoples beliefs and decisions on who they love and want to spend their life with. i support gay marriage 100% because every one has the right to marry who ever they want. i agree with tyra when she said that there are killers and bad people in jail, and still have the support of their families. i know that im not in the moms shoes, but at least the support is important. love is what matters.

I personally would still attend the wedding even though I don't agree with it, but I'm not the one that has to answer to God about this situation, the person engaging in the homosexual Marriage is the one that has to live with it. It is not our place to Judge, It's God's, he is the creator, and he will do what he sees fit, we are in no position to tell people what is right and what is wrong, it's ok to inform them that it is against God but even not everyone believes in the creator. People need to realize what the base of sin really is, Not only is it an act against God but it is something that Ends or trys to destroy life, God is the creator of life and if something is working it's way to try to destroy it, God stops them before they can start. Taking Drugs of course is a sin because all of the toxins break down and destroy your body preventing you from prolonging your life, Excessive Drinking is a sin because it takes a toll on your liver, which is an organ that you need (Hence the name), last but not least being Gay is a sin, not only because it is written in the Bible, it is because 2 abled bodies of the same sex cannot come together and make children, that is why God Created men and women to complement eachother to join together and make new lives. True even within hetero couples, some cannot produce children, maybe it wasn't in God's will, but if 2 able bodied beings Male and Female, Man and Woman come together, that equals making new lives. I am a lesbian...yes a LESBIAN..i have been with my girlfriend for 3 1/2 yrs now and next year we will be getting married. Like it or not!! As stated above, we all sin, no one is perfect! Whatever floats your boat is whatever you should do, as long as it keeps a smile on your face. My family is Catholic, and my future wifes family is christian, 75% of our family support us and those that dont who gives a sh*t! That was the first Tyra show I have seen. I was up late and watched it. I went to bed, sickened to the core of my being. How far this country has fallen. It was a travesty. The mother caved in because of the pressure. Tyra is decieved and deceiving.

How on earth did this turn into a religious issue? Everyone is entitled to their own beliefs but this is just stupid. I havent even seen this episode but for all of you who have and are now complaining about it no-one was forcing you to watch the show, it's not as if you couldn't change the channel or turn the TV off and do something else. Why do you condemn love of any kind? What right do any of you have to judge what kind of love is right and what kind is supposedly wrong? For me any kind of love be it for your partner (of either sexual persuasion), parents, children, siblings, friends and pets is definately right. And anyone who has ever been in love before will know that you cannot, no matter how hard you try, choose who you fall for.

My brother is gay and I have never seen him happier. Our grandmother doesn't agree with his lifestyle but I honestly think if him and his mate decided to marry that she would attend out of love for him. Tyra, about your comparison to "the mother who goes visit her child to prison AFTER he committed a crime and a mother who should attend the gay marriage" is just ridiculous because the mother was not present there when her child committed the crime, she would stop her child if she was there! why this one is judged as to not loving her child unconditional if she is not there to attend this wedding knowing that it is a sin. I think she does love her a lot because she wants her to be on the right path. I applaude the mom to say "I can't". But she ended up attending the wedding as part of human being weakness. As a 45 year old Gay Man who came out in 1981 at the age of 18 in the streets of Brooklyn NY, from a Puerto Rican family, I disagree with the couple trying to force her mother to go to her wedding. Forget relgion, for I grew up Catholic, converted to Pentacotal, then to Born again Christian, so as you could see I have God in my life. The fact is that we are trying to force something on to people that they will never accept unless they are educated. Forcing only drives them away.
