NEXT: What Kind of Stage Mom Would You Be?

Hey Tyra,I submitted a email and pictures of my daughter to you a while ago.I Would like to know if you would consider having a ligitimate casting call for children and help them to pursue their dreams just as you have.I know you have many connections in the industry and can help these kids get on the right track. It would be a great honor and pleasure for you to take the time to speak with these children and let them know the reality of the industry.

Hello Tyra, My daughter has done modeling sense she was 6 months old. She started as a hair model. She is bi-racial and is very out going, and very pretty and know this because I am approached all the time by people when we are out in public who say that she is very beautiful, and most of the time I say thanks and move on. That's how she got started at 6 months old because some friends asked if they could use her as a hair model on there web site for the hair bows that they made. Because of her look, and her natural curly hair. anyway that's all she did until she did some runway at 2 years old. I live in the Atlanta area and she did some print work for Macy's Dept. Store and Femail creations catalog, she has casted for a Tyler perry movie, she also did some more runway for a Barbie Fashion Tour in Atlanta sponsored by Instyle magazine and Macy's Dept. Store. She didn't want to do any modeling for a while it has mostly been her choice except when she was younger. She is now with a non- exclusive agency but they have not gotten her any work in a year. It's ok with me because I really don't want push her at all. She wants what all girls her age want and that is to be on the Hannah Montana show! Please if you have any connections that will help her with her dream!! Please contact me via email. Thank you so much Tyra!!

my son mykhal is extremely talented everyone loves him he is a born performer he has been performing since he could walk he is born to be a star i want to learn how i can pursue his career please help me Tyra!

Tyra, I wish you would do a show on the real scam artists out there and show parents that taking classes at JRP, ACT or Barbizon will not do anything to help their kid's career. Conventions like IPOP are also money-wasting scams. While this show was an extreme, there are "mangers" right here in New York asking parents to fork over thousands of dollars for photos and websites that the kids do not need. These companies do not ever get kids any auditions and the parents and kids are so disappointed. You have a national forum to really expose these companies. If you would like more information i can hook you up with people in the know.

Hello Tyra, My name is Rosa and I am interested in getting both of my children into modeling, I have called many different agencies and they want an arm and a leg just to be seen. I missed your show today because I was running around with my children so I was not able to get the information that you was giving out. I remember you saying on one of your episodes that if you go into a modeling agency that you are not suppose to pay for anything that if they like you that they will invest in you. I remember I called an agency on 14th street in Manhatten and they told me straight out that they do not see black kids that they was only looking for white children and after they told me that I was turned off.I have been looking for modeling agencies for children and I can not find any. May you please help me.

Today's show was right on. I have a daughter who became a local successful entertainer. But because I love my daughter, I chose not to be a stage mom who would do anything to push her up the latter, even though I actually was propositioned to do this. I'm so glad I declined to propositon my daughter's future. She is a successful young woman with a Ph.d. And now another reason for this email. I have a grand-daughter who favors you a lot, I would like to send you a photo of her, just for viewing. She is not trying to enter the entertainment field. My address is: P.O. box 15940, Austin, Texas 78761.

I feel that some of those parents on the show today were just totally star struck wanting their kids to live out their dreams or like others just wanting the kids to be the breadwinners for their families, etheir way it went they wanted them in the business for the wrong reasons peroid, it really sickens me to think that they would subject their children to such things such as nose jobs, and breast augmentations at 4,5, and 7 years old, some people just don't get it!

I notice countless parents want there children to be in the show biz because i have the passion to become an actress and i had alot of people call me and i have been to alot of meetings. One thing i realize is that most parents want there childern to be famous and it's not all about the money its what u like to do. and ive been taking acting classes for 2 years and i really enjoy it. You have to want it so that u can change people lives thats why i want to be an actress and i want my first movie to be titled "IM BUILT FOR THE ROAD AHEAD" and im going to work at it until i get to become that atress!

Thank you for airing the show about the casting call scams and letting me know not to pay any money to anyone. I am the lady that ask you to check on a company called xtreme talent biz and never got a response, but I followed my first mind and didn't give them any money. My son is actually 23 years old and was ask to model before by a company at the indiana black expo and I contacted you then and never got a response. At that time he wasn't interested, but now if he is accepted he is interested in doing some modeling

I was shocked to hear some of the mothers saying it is up to their child if they want any alterations. These kids are to Yong to know and understand about these things. That is what the parents are there for. They are suppose to protect their child. I think it is the parents that want this. Very Interesting Show Tyra and hope you have a great weekend. Love Always Steve

I watched today's show in horror. Although I understand parents wanting to get their child "discovered" it should not be at the expense of whatever is needed. These children are too young to make up their own minds so this is really about the parents dream. My son does some modeling , he is 22 and when he was 20 he went to do a photo shoot in lower Manhattan with a well-known photographer. I understood that he would be nerveous with me around and I did not attend. After all he is 20! I sent his 19 y.o. brother with him and waited downstairs instead. I would never alter my child's appearance because they are beautiful as they are and I never left them with anybody when they were younger. My mom watched them while I worked and then I had them. I understood what becoming a parent meant. It's mind boggling what people will do for money or the idea of money that can be obtained.

i would like my child to me famous but like you said i want my child to be safe my very first priority.

As I watched that show, The kids NEED TO BE TAKEN AWAY FROM THEM!! They are trying to do their best to PIMP their kids! It is sad that the parents are willing to do anything to LIVE OUT THEIR DREAMS THROUGH THE KIDS. So sad. Children don't need to be on a diet to get a part or to be in a commercial, or magazine. Only if under Doctor orders!! That goes to show you what certain parents would do for a child to be a star. It is sick!
