Hey Tyra my name is Danielle and I'm 13 yrs. old. You may not know me yet but one day you will ! I'm a singer and an actress too, so my teachers say. I recently performed with a live band and it was amazing. Being a singer has always been my dream and as i get older acting has become apart if it. Currently I don't have an agent, and I don't think I'll be getting one but is there any other way I can land legit auditions in the NY/NJ area? I really would like to, you're one of the greatest talk show hosts and advice givers, hopefully you can help me out with this. Thank you.
Beth Melsky is one of the best casting directors on the east coast for sure. I am a manager and I have worked with her for over 20 years. She gave great advice today on the show. Scammers give our industry a bad name. I hope that many people were watching today and will enter show business for the right reasons and avoid the pitfalls.
Hey Tyra! I've always wanted to act or sing, but I see the people on tv and they are all super skinny and wear so much makeup and skimpy clothes. I'm not like that at all. I'm a little bigger and don't really wear makeup, but I'm still beautiful! These people are crazy if they think they need to change the way their children look.
I tryed to get my 10months old into modeling out herein las vegas....They told me they wanted to sign him but i would have to pay $1000 for a portfolio for him.....it came with hair and make up and photos......one babys dont need portfolios because they constantly change, my son doesnt have a whole lot of hair to do i just put it in curls.....and what make up are they about to put on my baby.....the guy said according to nevada state law that I would haveto pay to get him start....but if i was in LA they would sign for him and pay everything....."because he is small and marketable"...he said i thanked him for his time and i told him if that was the case i would take him to LA....please tyra you need to do an AMERICA'S NEXT TOP BABY MODEL.
Hi my name is alexia I am a young mom of two kida(celines who is 7 & Marco who is 8) They both love to act since they were very small. I recently took them to an agency and the price for they charge was ridicuosly high and I remember you saying you should not have to pay for photos. Hi Tyra! I am interested in getting my 1 year old into some modeling/acting; not because I want to live a dream through her but because I can see her natural talents/abilities. I in no way want to become a stage mom or have a personal agenda. So what I'm wanting to know is if you could help me find legitimate agencies in or around Portland, OR that I could look into.. Or maybe even have your own toddler model search on your show and let us participate?! hehe

Hi Tyra...I'm 15 and I want to start acting but im not really sure you have to start with.Do you start with classes or what? I'm thinking about starting with modelling and then to do acting through modelling.Is that the right way to do that or is there something else? Hey Tyra, (wow, all messages start this way) My name is Rachel, I am 14 and i live in Florida. I have been taking dance classes since i was 5, sung since i was 3, taking violin lessons for a year, and have acted in school. I love performing whether the audience is big or small, or if they know me or not. However, whenever i go to a talent agency (my mom researches them before taking me.) they ask me for money to take classes despite the fact that they love me. (this happened at Barbizon) Is there somewhere i can go that if they like me, and realize that i have potential and despite what i already know, realize i can teach myself through books and videos, won't ask me for money, and won't ask me to take classes. I love performing, and really want to perform as a career, so, please if possible, give me some advice. Love, Rachel L
Hello! I caught the show at the last minute today, when you were talking about children becoming stars. My name is Shelby, and i'm 10. I've been interested in acting for as long as I can remember. I kind of put it to the side, because I never thought an oppertounity to addition for anything other then school plays would come up. I have been in all my school plays, and I loved it. I can be shy sometimes, but when it comes to acting, i'm no where near shy! Please give me any info you can to help me out!
Hey Tyra! I watched your show today and got really interested. I have ALWAYS wanted to be an actress or a model but i live in Bolivar,Mo and there is NOTHING here. :( I am 13 years old and my mother used to be an actress in the philipines but then she moved here. I just wish that i would have a chance to do the same. My mom has 4 kids so theres not alot of money around here so i dont exactly get the chance to travel to different venues to try and get a shot somewhere.
