Hello Tyra, I have am 11 year old daughter and she has been wanting to Model since she was little. She pratice in the house and she is very attractive, I think. She is 5'2" already and she just turned 11 years old. She is tall and very fit for a model. I have pictures of her if you would like to see them. But the reason I am writing you this is because I took my daught to John Robert Powers in Rockville, MD because they were advertising for Talet Search and Models. Well, they talked so fast and when came down to after she got chosen, they asked for $1950.00 that day. I am now a single parent and I didn't have that type of money to just go to the bank and get right away. Can you please help with some leads as to how I can get my daughter started or how to send out a portfolio. I think you shouldn't have to pay if they really want you. And my 11 year old wants this so bad. I feel bad because I can't afford to send her anywhere so I am trying to find other ways to promote her for photo shoots for children.

Tyra I think that anyone who agrees with the parents who participated in this experiment is CRAZY!!!! I have 5 year old girl and 7 year old boy, and I have been told more times than I can count that I should get them into modeling, I have even had a local agent who cast kids in photo shoots for the local store adds. Approach me and ask me to have head shots done of mt kids so she could put them in a few of the adds, but I said no! I don't want some agent telling my kids what to do or how to look, yeah they might make a lot of money doing that but its my job to make the money not my kids! And the economy is no excuse for parents to consider the things that they were asked about by your producers. It would be easy for me to get head shots done and send them out to different agencies because my sister is a photographer l but I want my kids to have a normal life and finish school.after they accomplish that they can consider star dome, I have let my daughter model before but only for my sister! Those other parents are just sick and wrong!!!
These are the types of people that should never be able to have children, it is sick and twisted!!! These people need to get a reality check and protect their kids not DESTROY them!!! I am truly disgusted!!
tyra you are my idol. i hope to be like you one day.that is why i am reaching out to you for help.i really want to make it in show biz being a singer.-interrestingly enough mz.hally berry went to my school when she has my age-i have been told that i am an incredible singer.but you cant really trust what people say- because they dont want to hurt your feelings -so i recorded myself and listened to it back.and you now wat????I SOUNDED PRETTY GOOD !!!!!but on a real note, the main reason that i want to make it into the biz i because everyday my mother comes in from work,she is always in a bad mood because the bank hade over drawn her on her account.i dont want her to have to worry anymore.i dont want her to have to worry about the rent,the phone or cable bills.tyra please help me.we really need this money :-(
