What are barsexuals? Straight girls kissing each other for fun, attention and even money!

Tyra Show cameras follow ladies into the club on a "typical" night out, where they take Katy Perry's "I Kissed a Girl" further than you'd ever believe. Plus, Tyra talks to Dana, a straight 15-year-old girl who kisses other girls for attention. And Jill, Dana's twin sister, confronts Jill about her behavior. Finally, Tyra talks to Genesis and Treasure, who frequently lock lips to get attention from guys. But for the first time, Treasure is ready to admit all that kissing has led her to develop feelings for Genesis. Now she wants their barsexual ways to turn into a real relationship!

Today, its accepted for girls to kiss girls but it still is not okay for a man to kiss a man. i am a sophomore in high school and if you look around, all the girls are holding hands and even kissing each other goodbye. it's considered to be completely normal. kissing a guy could very well lead him to beleive there is a chance for something more, you can't just kiss them for fun. but kissing your girl friend and both of you guys knowing its just for the sake of having fun, it has no strings attached. kissing is fun, you can almost consider it... practice :)

I think they are asking for trouble,they think its harmless fun and are doing to get a rise out of people.They want the attention from guys and they are missleading.Guys see this and think oh I want to get in on this action,but quess what chances are it anit gonna happen.As a lesbain seeing this in a bar that isnt a gay bar is giving the wrong impression of yourself.We live in a labled socitiey and if you dont want the lable dont do it.We are fighting for equal rights and I feel that this is mocking us(lesbain,gays,bisexuals ect.)So you think thats it ok for you and not us?Your the one that will suffer the consequences from your actions.

this is about todays show about girls kissing girls. what gets on my nerves was the girl in the studio saying how it is upseting to the gay community. excuse me you know if a person is gay or not. i had a gay friend and for some reason she thought she could change me cause me and boyfriend broke up. i told her iam not gay and iam not that depressed to go that way and she has noy spoken to me since that. why is it a big deal you kiss another girl gay or straight believe me you , you know who is gay. and before you start doing this check and make sure if feeling get involved explain to them iam straight and iam sorry that i lead you on but you knew in the beggining.

I just happened to catch your show. It made me think, because i feel that you did not address the psychological aspect of the female. Women feel very close to their girlfriends and they need them. As an older female (42) my husband neglects me emotionally, i'm not drawn to females, however, i have a younger female friend who i can relate to. When we're drinking, we get very loving and will kiss as friends. No emotions, just a closeness to a good friend! I love my girlfriends, but there is definately a grade of emotional attachment that can be differentiated. It's good to be loved and appreciated. Thanks for listening.

I dont see nothing wrong wit what these girls are doin. they doin it for fun!!!!!! the first two girls said they do it for fun and free drinks which is smart ont here part cause thata savin them money in this recession!!! one of the girls said them kissin and gettin attention is the same thing a girl would do when they dress sexy and go out to the club, they do it to get attention from men. Tyra said its not the same thing, which it is at least to me. Tyra also said its some kind of prostitution,which i disagree these women are not sleepin wit them they just gettin free drinks. I think Tyra contridicts her self. And why is there somethin always wrong when people do something for fun or just cause they wanna. Society has really screwed everyone up in to accept that everythin we do is so wrong. For that guy thinkin he was gonna get lucky, dude coome on, havent you seen girls kiss before. You must b e really desperate to get wit girls, then you tried to get in on a 3 way kiss and you got denied. HAHAHAHAHAHA that s what you get for thinkin those girls were easy, apperently not that easy for you to get in onn the kiss. Let people do what they wanna do!!!!!

On the show of "Girls Kissing", I feel it is very sad that a woman or a child today would need that kind of conformation of acceptance in the time we live in now! To feel loved should come from the parents of these ladies and not outsiders who are inticing them to do acts they really don't want to do, or to feel loved by giving up their "moral grounds" to feel loved. this should come from the "Real" men in their lives...FATHERS! It scares me of a mother of 2 girls that they might seek this out because of a thoughtless father who was too busy or a mother who did not recongnise this accountability of her husband. These Ladies should already know how much they are loved and expect to be respected by these boys pressuring them to do these things.

I think it morally wrong for girls to be kissing other girls for attention, why would someone have to do such a thing to get the attention of men. That obviously will get attention, but its the wrong type of attention, seriously after that what man would respect that, have some respect for yourselves! It is really unnecessarry to be a barsexual and all that.. This can't just be harmless fun, because some girls beocome attracted and realtionships go down from there..

Looking at this from the Bible,is 100% wrong.So next week if a guy has a Hit recorded on VH1,saying that he kissed a man,and he liked it. And more young men started showing more open signs of this behavior. Will you run another show with high school boys and men who would do this openly? Trash behavior in humans. Belongs in the trash with all the other trash. Stop showing the Dark side of human behavior.

I aggree with you Cook Thomas. It gives lesbians a bad reputation. When I'm dancing with my girlfriend at a bar and I kiss her its not because I want attention from guys! And K we dont live in a theocracy and we dont live in the Leave it to Beaver world. GLBT people have always been around and will continue to be. It is not required for everyone in America to believe in the bible therefore it should not govern our tv and culture.

I just think whoever does this has a low self esteem of themselves.It also could be a easy way to get girls to kiss them without letting them know that they are having thoughts of lesbianism and wanting someone to feel the same way about them without putting themselves on front street and getting laughed at or made fun of. I say feel good about yourself and don't lower yourself by getting free drinks! Buy your own drinks.

I find this "sexuality" ridiculous. Im a 17 years old and full lesbian, and even when i was just discovering my sexuality i wasn't kissing girls just ② be doing it. That makes me and the rest of the lesbian and even bisexual community seem like were all just barsexuals or watever. I completely understand why the lesbian on the show was so upset. They're making a mockery of us and i dnt appreciate it at all.
