What are barsexuals? Straight girls kissing each other for fun, attention and even money!

Tyra Show cameras follow ladies into the club on a "typical" night out, where they take Katy Perry's "I Kissed a Girl" further than you'd ever believe. Plus, Tyra talks to Dana, a straight 15-year-old girl who kisses other girls for attention. And Jill, Dana's twin sister, confronts Jill about her behavior. Finally, Tyra talks to Genesis and Treasure, who frequently lock lips to get attention from guys. But for the first time, Treasure is ready to admit all that kissing has led her to develop feelings for Genesis. Now she wants their barsexual ways to turn into a real relationship!

OK I completely agree with the one lesbian girl in the audience who expressed how these actions hurt the gay community. I'm bisexual, and if I'm dating a girl and want to kiss her in public, we get negative sexual attention from guys who think we're straight girls looking for attention. We want to be respected and not have to hide our sexuality, but if you watch the show, you heard the way ALL the guys yelled out OOOHHHHHHHH screaming and shouting, thats how it is for us because of girls doing this for attention. It makes me so mad, not everyone kissing a girl wants that screaming in your face sexual attention from people in the room.

These "barsexuals" get me pissed off because they put this stereotype on lesbians or in general the gay community that they are all horny or have no repect for themselves. This is why so many people think that being gay is just an act and its a choice to be gay. People get this in your head all the people(girl on girl) that you see on pornos or at bars making out its all fake they call themselves bisexual or lesbians to get attention from guys. But guess what, they are not gay. Think about it who would make out in front a huge group of people starring at you because you are doing so. NO one would really do that unless they were looking for attention. so stop stereo typing the whole gay community like that please your just wasting your time and making yourself look mean, heartless and ignorant. Im 14 and i can understand that love is endless it doesnt matter who it is (race, sexuality) but actually having someone to love is the greatest gift you can ever have. so stop jugding other people who they want to be with no one gave you the right to do so. get over it

Wow!!! The phrase "girl on girl kissing" is sick, personally. I find it so amazing how society is so comfortable with homosexuality and accepts it. Maybe its just me or maybe its just the way I was raised. My parents & family always made it known that homosexuality wasnt allowed! Idk, now a days, its everywhere- I dont understand and I most definately don't know what the world is coming to. Everyone needs to come to reality. God made woman and man, not man and man or woman and woman. What could two of the same sex possibly produce?! NOTHING! To each its own I guess. Count on Tyra to have the most interesting shows lol! I love you & your show!

Hi Tyra..... i really love your show but i have two ideas that you can have your show about like.........."Are noses a big deal?" I Know thats kinda funny buit all my life i've been teased about my nose and that's pretty dumb i want people to know the real me not the outside of me..... they always call me names like "big nose, wood pecker, big bird" and many other hurtful things they also say i should get a nose job that's why when i am 16 i am gonna get a nose job......Now here is my other idea "Do parents have a favorite child"..... Well, i know that also sounds pretty dumb but i am a midsdle child and my mother favors my oldest brother(15 years old) and my youngest sister (11 years old) so it seems she is picking her first born and her baby(last born)!!!I am now 13 years old and i get treated like a 3 year old!!! please write me back on my email

when i saw the lesbain get all mad at the two barsexual girls i really wanted to say to the lesbain: hey at least they don't go around and show off their sexuality in parade's. i think your next show should be on gay parade's and how would gays like it if we had straight parade's. lesbians and gays are all mad at us straights when their the ones being conceited and us straights are humble about our sexuality. How would they feel if we bosted about our sexuality. I'm not saying they should'nt have rights but that they should keep humble. signed Abby rogers age 13

KISSING IN BARS JUST TO GET MONEY OR FREE DRINKS IS SO CHILDISH. I DON'T KISS MY GIRL FRIENDS WHEN WE GO OUT JUST TO GET FREE DRINKS AND ATTENTION. THOSE GIRLS NEED TO GROW UP AND LEARN TO GET ATTENTION DIFFERENT WAYS THAT DOESN'T MAKE THEM LOOK LIKE EASY WOMEN. I JUST HOPE THEY LEARN BECAUSE IT WOULD BE SAD IF SOMETHING WOULD TO HAPPEN TO TWO BEAUTIFUL WOMEN BY JUST THE WAY THERE ACTING.

I DONT SEE ANYTHING WRONG IF I SEE TOO GIRLS KISSING WHY FIRST OF ALL IM A LESBIAN, I LOVE GIRLS IT JUST ME....NOW THIS GIRLS IF THEY GOING OUT JUST TO GET ATTENTION DONT DO IT THEY ARE JUST GOING TO LOOK FOR TROUBLE

*men I meant to say "ultimately I decided I'm not attracted to men."

I'd also like to point out something about sexuality in response to the claim this girls are bisexual. I think that's false. I went through a phase I thought I was bisexual because I found men attractive. But there's a difference between being attracted to someone and finding someone attractive. This is mainly in response to Angels' response that read, "I think it is all in good fun, however these girls are bisexual. You cannot make out with someone you have no attraction to whatsoever.. and yes, they are getting the wrong kind of attention but it's their life so it's their choice." There is a correction to that I'd like to make. You can make out with anyone. But you don't enjoy it unless you find them attractive. OR you get attention or something else you want out of it. I think these girls are straight. Using the fact that they made out with women as criteria for them to be bi, I'd be bi. I've made out with both men and women. And ultimately, I decided I am not attracted to women. It is their choice to do this. They said it themselves. And even if they were bi, it would still be their choice to act the way they do. We don't choose our sexuality. We do choose our actions.

As a lesbian, I was offended watching this show because I feel "barsexuals" are mocking us lesbians. We are taken less seriously as it is because people don't understand us. What I have to say to those first two girls: 1. Stop saying you're not judging me for my "lifestyle choices" because by calling the fact that I'm a lesbian a "lifestyle choice," you're judging me. 2. If you truly respect us for our sexualities and support us, don't fight against us in our fight to make society see we're not just going through a phase. Fight with us. 3. If you truly think that we have as much respect as you, let me ask you how many states you can get married in? Now, how many can I get married in? Significant difference, eh?

Hey Tyra, this is not towards you its for some who has wrote to you about how you can tell a difference whether someone is gay or not. I am straight to let people know who read this, but there is no way you can tell if someone if homosexual or not! there are allot of people who are straight that you would think that are homosexual, and there are allot of homosexuals that you would think that's straight. I personally think that the two girls who were kissing for the attention is looking for another way to feel excepted by other men. Apart of me thinks that they just wanted to be on your show! But maybe they came for emotional reason to! But i also think that no one has the right to judge what someone does or what they do or even who they choose to be with! I this country is about freedom and being able to make your own choices then who is anyone to judge anyone. I think its a way for people that judge other people to feel good about themselves or there going with what everyone else says cause they're afraid of what society will think of them! This country is changing whether people like it or not and they need to stop being so irrational and ignorant. Love your shows Tyra Keep them up!

I think it is all in good fun, however these girls are bisexual. You cannot make out with someone you have no attraction to whatsoever.. and yes, they are getting the wrong kind of attention but it's their life so it's their choice.

I think that's crazy to kiss a other girl like i was watching yesterday in the show i never kiss a girl before and i not going to do it now.if a girl do that for attention i don't think people will take then seriously.i want all those girl that do those you are beautiful.

I was really disappointed in this show! It seemed like Tyra was pushing for some lesbian action. Bottom line is girls are selling themselves short - they think they have to put on a porn show to get guys attention. So sad! Women need to do things to be respected, not lusted after. The guys interested in these girls, will only be interested in sex - nothing more.

its just another way which a human being can have and show affection to a same sex or a different sex...but when its not that popular, the excuse of wanting attention from different sex could crop, yet theres true affection that can lead to lesbianism if so extreme.
