And the model that came out on top is...

Like so many of you, we were glued to our dvr's last night as the finale we've all been waiting for took place. The three top contenders were all ferocious so it was clear it'd be a fight to the photo finish. Indeed, it was as each girl tore it up in her own way.

First up of course, the Cover Girl commercial and photo-shoot.

The commercial shoot was much like many Top Model commercial shoots of the past - - some girls turned it out while others turned it off. Surprisingly, top contender Teyona let the pressure of the commercial get the better of her, but still managed to pull of a killer shot in her photo-shoot. As if we expected anything less from this fierce faced beauty! Also sort of surprising, the shy Allison managed to crank out a good commercial too, even after getting off to rough start.

Too soon, it was time for the final three to face the judges. With so much good stuff to work with, even the panel of experts had a hard time deciding who's time it was to fly back to the States, without a chance to stomp the runway. Aminat received praise for her commercial, but yet again failed to deliver a picture-perfect photo. She found herself next to Teyona, whose appearance in the bottom two was a first for her. Even though Teyona broke down about her disastrous commercial shoot, her killer body of work and fab photo won her a spot in the top two, and she said goodbye to her bestie, Aminat.

In the last challenge of the cycle, the two remaining girls donned itty-bitty, Brazilian bikinis and took to the runway. While the judges later admitted they thought Teyona would not only stomp the runway, but all over Allison in this challenge - - they were proven wrong. The once terrible-walker Allison tore it up! But the big finish had the models writhing in oil at the end of the runway. Teyona worked it, even though her weave gave up halfway through. Her crawl toward the big finish even gave Tyra chills.


The decision between the top two was by no means an easy one. All the judges remarked about how neck and neck the two ferocious ladies were. But alas, only one can be on top, and the title went to Teyona.

Congratulations, Teyona! You deserve it!

Hey Tyra I love both of your shows and I always look forward to see what's new. I wanted to ask you if you have ever thought of doing a show for guy models. I see a lot of girl models but not a lot of guy models.

I was so disappointed that I missed the Graduation on Tyra. My TIVO is set to record ANTM, but I had no idea that this was coming on the Tyra Show which Tivo did not record. I'd love to watch the full episode, but can't find it on the web for free. Any ideas on how to see this episode would be appreciated. I suppose it is a good time to have a talk with Mr. Tivo and do a wish list with anything 'ANTM'...live and learn! I love Tyra and all that she does to make this world a better place. GOD BLESS YOU TYRA - YOU ABSOLUTELY ROCK!!

Tyra Banks, please do what you tell your guests on your show to do - GROW UP. Stop acting as if your life when you were young was difficult. Stop taking your anger out on those poor little girls that come to you begging you to help them become models just because you can't get over your hate for Naomi Campbell and whatever other model you imagined hurt your feelings in the past. You hold so much power in your hands. You could truly help others by giving them opportunities they otherwise wouldn't ever have. It's so sad that you always prove yourself to be unfair, biased and insincere. You like to hear the sound of your own voice and are truly deaf to others. Someone truly works hard on your show and transforms themself into a "Top Model" but they aren't chosen. Someone comes on your show in tears stating they have no money for food for themselves or their children and you give them a damn makeover. Are you kidding me? Please do more. Please be more. You asked to be responsible for all of these shows you take part in so that puts a huge responsibilty on your shoulders. People look to you to be fair. People look to you for hope.

allison is such a drop dead gorgeous girl i cant beilive that she didnt win. i was very disapointed that tyona won because to me allison was the one who stood out the most and tyona was just there. not very noticable. all you people need to stop hating on allison cause she is absolutltly beautiful

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder...and with eyes like Allisons...deer-like and all, it is no wonder some of you think that the deer whisperer is beautiful. ha.

everyone is hating on teyona...im glad she won...allison looked like a deer caught in headlights....she jus stood out...she as pale and barely did well in her pics...but at the end she did step up and show out..but it was too late for that teyona had perfect pic after perfect pic..and im glad she won....mayb next time allison

Everyone has their own opinion about who should have won antm cycle 12.Allison, are you kidding. talk about looking like a alien.this girl was plain weird.I do not agree with Teyona being the winner, Aminet clearly was the pick of the bunch. But whenevere a blck girl wins it is always stated the race card was played.How about the best girl won.

hey tyra i think the girls on the top model show are beautiful women,but do i have one for you my neice asia once wanted to be a model but she is under 5'7 and the day you had the casting call for that show she was in chicago,but she goes to school in new york and she is about to graduate she's got the whole fashion thing down-pac you should see this beautiful girl she is interested in being on the show for girl's 5'7 and under thanx love to hear from u bye auntie dyan.

Omg what has happen to top model. ALLISON should have won it! Not Teyona yes she can take some good pic's. But did she do well in her gover girl commerical NO! Did she do good on the Runway walk. NO! She just walked she didn't dance when she was sopose to! She looked board and stiff. Allison is a mystery person. Allison reminds me of so many girls that I know. Were weird and we don't care what people think about us. Allison was the only one on the show beside Kourtany. That showed she didn't care what people think about her. She was fine with wanting to be weird and to be herself. She didn't want to be a plastic barbie doll. I can never see Allison playing in the movie "Life size" which tyra played a barbie doll in. Allison gave me courage to do some of the stuff that I never thought I could do. YOU GUYS MADE THE WRONG CHOICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Tyra! I love every single contestant on every single cycle! They are always different and have a uniqueness about them! I am very happy that Teyona won! She was one of my favorites, as well as Allison, Aminat, and Tahlia! You have very wonderful judges, regardless of all off the negativity that you see in the comments. I love watching America's Next Top Model and The Tyra Show! Two of my favorite shows that I won't miss for anything...well except for church! Lol! =]
