And the model that came out on top is...

Like so many of you, we were glued to our dvr's last night as the finale we've all been waiting for took place. The three top contenders were all ferocious so it was clear it'd be a fight to the photo finish. Indeed, it was as each girl tore it up in her own way.

First up of course, the Cover Girl commercial and photo-shoot.

The commercial shoot was much like many Top Model commercial shoots of the past - - some girls turned it out while others turned it off. Surprisingly, top contender Teyona let the pressure of the commercial get the better of her, but still managed to pull of a killer shot in her photo-shoot. As if we expected anything less from this fierce faced beauty! Also sort of surprising, the shy Allison managed to crank out a good commercial too, even after getting off to rough start.

Too soon, it was time for the final three to face the judges. With so much good stuff to work with, even the panel of experts had a hard time deciding who's time it was to fly back to the States, without a chance to stomp the runway. Aminat received praise for her commercial, but yet again failed to deliver a picture-perfect photo. She found herself next to Teyona, whose appearance in the bottom two was a first for her. Even though Teyona broke down about her disastrous commercial shoot, her killer body of work and fab photo won her a spot in the top two, and she said goodbye to her bestie, Aminat.

In the last challenge of the cycle, the two remaining girls donned itty-bitty, Brazilian bikinis and took to the runway. While the judges later admitted they thought Teyona would not only stomp the runway, but all over Allison in this challenge - - they were proven wrong. The once terrible-walker Allison tore it up! But the big finish had the models writhing in oil at the end of the runway. Teyona worked it, even though her weave gave up halfway through. Her crawl toward the big finish even gave Tyra chills.


The decision between the top two was by no means an easy one. All the judges remarked about how neck and neck the two ferocious ladies were. But alas, only one can be on top, and the title went to Teyona.

Congratulations, Teyona! You deserve it!

hey tyra. i think that allison should have wont this competition. i have watched her from day 1 over and over again and her modeling is way muhc better than teyona. your the expert in modelling and u might have saw something in teyona that we didnt see but i thought that allison should have been ANTM cycle 12 winner. xox

hey tyra. I'm 14, 5'8'', and usually a size 0. sometimes when i try on new clothes my mom will say "oh, claire, you could be a model". i usually blow her off saying yeah whatever, but sometimes i wonder if i could be a model. I think I'd need more confidence, but I don't know. You should have a show on teen models (you should also make it plus-sized teen modeling so no one feels left out) and help us viewers out. (: By the way, I'm so glad Teyona won, even though I wish it was Aminat.

I WAS SO EXCITED WHEN TEYONA WAS DECLARED THE WINNER!!! I was literally jumping up and down in front of the tv. Alison did a really good job though and proved why she deserved to be in the final two. (Won't be the last of Aminat though cause that girl is good). Can't wait to follow Teyona's career like I have with Dani from Cycle 6. CONGRATS TEYONA!!!

i LOVE Americas Next Top Model. i love to model and act, i want to be a contestant on the show but, im to young:(. im only! twelve.i think there should be a Americas Next Top Model Junior. i know alot of young girls who love to model and can model including my self and would like to do the show. this is just a idea a great!!!!!! idea and i just wanted to put it out there!!!!! hopefully i find a way to contact you. i LOVE you and you are one of my idols and will always be. i hope you take this idea into consideration. STOP HATING.Tyra picked the right one.Teyona was waaaaaaaaay better than allison.She had a better walk than her and she took better pictures than her.Tyra can pick any body she wants too,so shut up and stop hating on people.I really think it would be cool if she had america's next top model as male models,instead of girls becuase you see alot of tv shows with girls tryna be models and not none were there are men.i think it would be different and cool to watch.

Tyra, Wow. i was super MAD & still am. when you picked Teyona and not Allison wow, i wanted to jump into the TV! and ask you Why not Allison she should of won! Teyona would of lost i figured out ANTM show you pick the looser to win! always!! Except like couple times! but other than that! Wow, im still mad! You & the Judges made the wrong decision on Tenya! Truely down deep everyone knows Allison should of won! not Tenya! And other than that, i think it was unfair for Allison. And RED0 for her, she was an inspiration for young girls. Especially me im kinda weird deep inside now i show it. Going off topic Tahlia she inspired me to wear shorts again, she has burn marks i have something that im exposed to much on the sun i get these weird red marks they turn really big, and when i saw her i was like she can pull off the burn skin i can do it too!(: Hopefully, Next time PICK THE RIGHT WINNER!!

I love your show!!! Recentlty my daughter passed away. She was only 36 and very troubled. I don't know about you but I've got a bad past like she did but I've been cean & sober for 20 yrs. My granddaught lives with me now and has among other things she's bi-racial and the little town that we live in treats like we are still in the fifties. She has your complexcion long legs and at age 12almost she is 5'1. She haas always hammed it up when taking pictures and she is a beauty. all legs. My problem is that she has very low self esteem. I had a thought that maybe you could have a camp during the summer for kids like her and that are really below the poverty level and wouldn't even have a chance to go. I'm disabled and want her to have the life that my daughter nor I ha

Hi, I am 13 years old and I love America's Next Top Model. But I did not like the recent ANTM show for cycle 12 when Teyona won the title of ANTM. I beleive that Allison should have won. Allison is very pretty and is great role model for girls around my age. She showed me that even though she is shy she can still go out for her dream and be FIERCE! Even though you can not change your mind on who won. You should hook Allison up with a job for runway in Europe or something like that. Try to help her launch her modeling carrer. Don't leave her hang'n. Plus I think Allison wanted it more because she always pushed herself to do better each week. IN MY EYES ALLISON IS AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL!
