And the model that came out on top is...

Like so many of you, we were glued to our dvr's last night as the finale we've all been waiting for took place. The three top contenders were all ferocious so it was clear it'd be a fight to the photo finish. Indeed, it was as each girl tore it up in her own way.

First up of course, the Cover Girl commercial and photo-shoot.

The commercial shoot was much like many Top Model commercial shoots of the past - - some girls turned it out while others turned it off. Surprisingly, top contender Teyona let the pressure of the commercial get the better of her, but still managed to pull of a killer shot in her photo-shoot. As if we expected anything less from this fierce faced beauty! Also sort of surprising, the shy Allison managed to crank out a good commercial too, even after getting off to rough start.

Too soon, it was time for the final three to face the judges. With so much good stuff to work with, even the panel of experts had a hard time deciding who's time it was to fly back to the States, without a chance to stomp the runway. Aminat received praise for her commercial, but yet again failed to deliver a picture-perfect photo. She found herself next to Teyona, whose appearance in the bottom two was a first for her. Even though Teyona broke down about her disastrous commercial shoot, her killer body of work and fab photo won her a spot in the top two, and she said goodbye to her bestie, Aminat.

In the last challenge of the cycle, the two remaining girls donned itty-bitty, Brazilian bikinis and took to the runway. While the judges later admitted they thought Teyona would not only stomp the runway, but all over Allison in this challenge - - they were proven wrong. The once terrible-walker Allison tore it up! But the big finish had the models writhing in oil at the end of the runway. Teyona worked it, even though her weave gave up halfway through. Her crawl toward the big finish even gave Tyra chills.


The decision between the top two was by no means an easy one. All the judges remarked about how neck and neck the two ferocious ladies were. But alas, only one can be on top, and the title went to Teyona.

Congratulations, Teyona! You deserve it!

Yes Teyona Won Americas Next Top Model great for her. As for thousands of fans of Allison we just want express that our favorite did not win and that most all america was going for Allison as much as we anted her to win this did not happend so yeah whats done is done, Yeiii teyona congrats girl we all new both wanted it so bad and you got it girl so good for you... For Allison Hey well you got a a huge fans all around the world knowing your are americas favorite you are hour ture winner. For all of those who do not see the fact teyona one but Allison is much bigger already dont hate im not Hating Teyona ofr winning Top model but the true in facts speaks louder of words Congrats to both gorgeous women Allison And Teyona... Allison was lucky that Tyra picked her at all. Allison only won the contract, because she was white. Tyra tried to give her a chance, but she was too one dimensional and too much of a wall flower.

i love to watch the show, its not entirely about who wins, its entertainment, if u r a women and pay attention u can learn things from this show, keep it up tyra you r an inspiration to me

I am so sick of people like Heather criticizing Tyra just because Teyona won and she is black. The last winner of ANTM, Mickey was WHITE so stfu! and before that was Whitney who is also WHITE ! ! So you have no right to call Tyra a fake and say "she always has to choose a African American model like every other cycle." THAT IS NOT TRUE. But anywayss I'm so glad Teyona won. I told my family from the very beginning, during casting that she was going to win. You all were right that she wanted it more than Allison, she didn't cry or anything when you didn't call her name. That shows that she can live without it and Teyona's heart is in this business. When the season first started I thought it was going to be down to Teyona, Aminat, and Fo but in the in my girl Teyona came through. I LOVE YOU TYRA ! and I will always be watching this show and ANTM :)

TYRA IS FAKE AND IT GOES ALONG WITH ALL HER SHOWS! FIRST WITH ANTM...SHE ALWAYS HAS TO CHOSE A AFRICAN AMERICAN MODEL LIKE EVERY OTHER CYCLE....EVEN THO SOMEONE MAY BE BETTER .. I agree, Teyona wanted it more than Allison, but I think Allison should've been elimated weeks ago. She always looked down when talking and hiding behind her hair, I don't see how she made it as far as she did. Personally I was shocked when Celia was eliminated because I think she was the best and should've won. After that I really didn't want to even watch the finale. Hope cycle 13 is fair b/c I think even Sam should've won cycle 11.

Hi Tyra. I am a big fan of yours. Although, I am happy Teyona won, I wasn't impressed with her AT ALL! I think Allison should have won. I am not going to go call Teyona out her name like some of the others on here.but Allison has the "Cat Walk" look. Her eyes is what makes her beautiful. Teyona on the other is a little homely She is only pretty when she is have on make up. I didn't agree with your choice. but I will still watch the show.

Im glad that Allison didnt win... She may have looked different but who cares?? She looked weird and just didnt cut it! I personally think Aminat should have won! At the same time I do feel like Sam should have won cycle 11 not Mckey!! I do think that there is not enough time for the judges to get to know the girls and thats why some of the best get kicked off and the lame ones stay. Allison should have been kicked off a long time ago but just because she had big blue eyes she stayed. Lots of girls have big blue eyes.... that was not a good reason for her stay. I hope cycle 13 with the short girls is better cause it really doesnt seem fair that all the good ones get kicked off. Im 5'1 and can do better than Allison did!!!
