And the model that came out on top is...

Like so many of you, we were glued to our dvr's last night as the finale we've all been waiting for took place. The three top contenders were all ferocious so it was clear it'd be a fight to the photo finish. Indeed, it was as each girl tore it up in her own way.

First up of course, the Cover Girl commercial and photo-shoot.

The commercial shoot was much like many Top Model commercial shoots of the past - - some girls turned it out while others turned it off. Surprisingly, top contender Teyona let the pressure of the commercial get the better of her, but still managed to pull of a killer shot in her photo-shoot. As if we expected anything less from this fierce faced beauty! Also sort of surprising, the shy Allison managed to crank out a good commercial too, even after getting off to rough start.

Too soon, it was time for the final three to face the judges. With so much good stuff to work with, even the panel of experts had a hard time deciding who's time it was to fly back to the States, without a chance to stomp the runway. Aminat received praise for her commercial, but yet again failed to deliver a picture-perfect photo. She found herself next to Teyona, whose appearance in the bottom two was a first for her. Even though Teyona broke down about her disastrous commercial shoot, her killer body of work and fab photo won her a spot in the top two, and she said goodbye to her bestie, Aminat.

In the last challenge of the cycle, the two remaining girls donned itty-bitty, Brazilian bikinis and took to the runway. While the judges later admitted they thought Teyona would not only stomp the runway, but all over Allison in this challenge - - they were proven wrong. The once terrible-walker Allison tore it up! But the big finish had the models writhing in oil at the end of the runway. Teyona worked it, even though her weave gave up halfway through. Her crawl toward the big finish even gave Tyra chills.


The decision between the top two was by no means an easy one. All the judges remarked about how neck and neck the two ferocious ladies were. But alas, only one can be on top, and the title went to Teyona.

Congratulations, Teyona! You deserve it!

Hello Tyra, I am a upcoming model and i athrough LP Girl Modeling and Talent Agency. I have always wanted to be a model but in Birmingham, AL. there isnt alot you can do here. There arent very many opportunities, but i am starting to get a little discouraged. I have been praying; crying;and just plain ol begging for a job soon school will be out and then all the children will be blessed with the rest of the jobs. Now i know that you arent going to just jump into the modeling buisness and blow up, but i am only 24 yrs old and i have a very strong will. My main problem now is that i have a apartment that i am renting but no is trying to hire me on so im afraid that i am about to be homeless; jobless; and hopeless. i really dont want to give up on my dream because after i lose everything else that is all that i will have left is my dreams. I really dont want to lose my apartment because it is my first real apartment all to myself and i really dont want to give it up. I was just wondering if maybe you had some encouraging words that will help me moveforward in my life with my dreams. i was also wondering if maybe you can keep a ear open for any jobs here in Birmingham AL for me? I hope you get a chance to read my comment and maybe you will get a chance to respond but if you dont then i understand. (PS: HOW EXACTLY DO YOU LEARN HOW TO SMILE WITH YOUR EYES?)

hey tyra, my name is maryam and i am an 18 year old college junior studying to be an RN because my dad always wanted me to be a doctor. I am going to be moving out of my house soon and on my own so as you know money will be hard, i have been working since 16, and have always bought my own cloths and paid my phone bill with my allowance money since i was 12 (9th grade) and sometimes if it gets really hard my mom and dad will help because i never ask them for help because they have 3 other children (im the third of 4) and they also have their own bills. but im not here to talk about my life story haha, even though its hard i really want to model or be in the fashion industry but i am only 5'5 and people always tell my mom to let me and my sister model and i recently started to check out agencies here in cleveland ohio but its hard and because i dont have the money they ask for and i am not sure how to go about perusing my dreams. so please help me or give me some advice on how to go about doing this. my mother is supportive of both me and my sister, and i just really want to try this and do something i really want to do for myself and my sister!

Tyra!!! I loved both of the girls in finale and personnally i loved how much allison grew in the competition! I have personally always wanted to be a model, i have very awkward features ( my jaw lines are so pronounced), i have super asian eyes and nothing matches with the rest but dam it makes me confident, i get complimented but NEVER for my height, i'm only 5'4!!!!!!!! i was sooo excited to see that the new season of ANTM will include short women. I wanted to be in New York for the audition and i KNOW i could've gone through... but i have a problem bigger than my height... i live in CANADA!!!! and now Canada's next top model should sooo totally have a short gal's competition, because we "disgustinggggg" up in here as well!

I personally didn't like Allison at all from the begining. I though she should have been sent home instead of FO, my vote was always for FO but i guess i'm not the judge there. I dont think it was a wise decision to pick Teyona for next top model, I grew to like Allison she improved a whole lot she difinetly deserved being the next top model. I believe you should have ruled for her. when i go to the blog of next top models everyone is killing Teyona and all sound upset stating Allison should have one and that it was a set up, you had picked favorites. I felt the same you could have given Allison a chance she has great potential, each cycle she seemed to improve and that's what a model is required to improve not to become worst and that's exactly what Teyona did she came from great to poor and didn't improve at all, she was not ready to be the next top model. I due agree one thing she is good for runway and photographing nothing else though. In the other hand Allison can bring all out she proved that she can work the runway, the camera and the photoshoot when she is interviewed she presents herself as a model not ghetto like Teyona. I was disapointed when i saw who won it wasn't fair. Overall Tyra I enjoy watching your shows, your a talented woman.

Give up the diss on Allison. She is a beautiful girl and her eyes are her distinctive trait. All you nay-sayers are just jealous. Allison, You are great. Keep up the good work. You have grown into a beautiful model.

Allison has big eyes, but the same blank expression is always on her face. That is like a ballerina that can only stand in first position all day. She won't book any shows...just like Allison.

Is there a contact lens large enough to fit Allison's eyes? I doubt it...so she could launch her own fat eye contact lens. ha. Deer will love it. ha.

See, even you don't have a defense as to why Allison should have won. But if you can get her a contract selling eye drops like Visine...she would be rich. ha. She can go through at least 2-3 bottles a week in each eye. Especially since she does not blink much, they must be dry. ha.

Detectives could use Allison's big eyes that never blink to find clues. ha. She could become the world's first human clue detector. ha. If Allison had a clue during the competition, she would have figured out that staring into the lens was not going to help her win. ha.

Changing the subject is not going to work. I told you that I am wide awake. My hair is down my back and grown from my hair follicle, unlike Allison's. Allison and all of her weave still were not enough to win ANTM. She had gobs of hair on her head, but those eyes looked the same. Dead. Blank. How is she going to book jobs without any talent? That is the question. However, Aminat is beautiful, too, but she needs work on her poses and facial expressions, just like Allison.

Binocular companies....binocular companies could use those huge, glassy blank looking eyes to their advantage. Maybe Allison will sign with one of them. ha.
