It can't hurt to freshen up your C.O.F with a few new faces.

Your people are great but if Mildred moans about her ex or Courtney says she's fat one more time -- you're going to scream. You might be stuck with most of your buds for life, but spending some time with a few new faces is a healthy way to keep friendships solid.

We know it can be hard to meet new people outside of work or school, but here's a few ways to recruit new members to your crew.

Hand-Me-Down
Friends of other friends are the best kind of people to get invested with -- you've already got someone to vouch for them. Maybe you know everyone in your intimate circle of besties, but you probably don't know your work friend's nearest and dearest.

Party Hardy
Throwing a shindig is not only a good use of your Saturday night, it's a good way to mix it up. It's a lot easier to meet your extended family of friends if you tell folks to bring people. It's also a little off-putting to ask your co-worker "can I be friends with your friends?!" Just get them in the same room and make it happen naturally.

Perk Up
If a friend of yours has a friend she's always saying you would "totally love," step it up and tell her to get the two of you together. It's so much easier to make friends when you already know what traits you have in common!

Hi, I'm a 14-year old sophomore from Philippines. I agree that its hard to make friends. Because, I find it so hard too. I am always bullied at the school, the people I call friends at school make me do their projects and everything. I am tired of that, this school year, I'm gonna be tougher. But its still not easy. I might hurt someone or make someone angry at me...that's what I'm scared about. Like now, my friends are hitting on me, know why? because my friend's new boyfriend has a feeling to me too, and same as I to him. But we just can't because I'm 14, he's 21. It's hard and I don't know what to do. I stopped txting him, but his girlfriend and its friend (which happens to be my choir members and long time friends) are posting bulletins against me. I don't want any harm. I don't want to fight with them, they are like my older sisters...Tyra, what am I gonna do??

well i just started a new high school in another state and i find it so hard to find the right friends.. i feel so lonely and i know you go to school to learn but whats school without friends? i have few people i talk to just hi bye in all the other grades except the people that im going to be graduating with..i try to be outgoing and make friends but by the next day they just forget about me and im alone again.. its almost 2 weeks since i started my new school and i have not made one person i could actually call a friend..i hate school now and i feel like a loser.. i miss my friends =[

It's embarassing for me to say I have no friends...In high school I was friend with everybody but now that i am done high school i've lost conctact with everybody and my closest friend a the time they are not my friend anymore. I have a boyfriend of almost 2 years now but when he's working i feel so lonely because i have nobody to talk to i have no friends to do a girls night out...I am a lonely sad girl who don't know what to do...And now im in college and i feel nobody is like me or have the same interst as me..

Is this about finding friends or finding "friends"? ...... I have one best friend whom is my husband, but I don't seem to find other 'just' friends. I'm 23, 24 on the 19th. I've been married for 4 years. I live 300 miles from my hometown, my family and old friends, in a completely different kind of place than the small town I grew up in. I use to have friends near where I am now but I had to dump them because they were doing too much drinking and drugs and all that bad stuff I never seen before (firsthand / in real life). I don't want to be a part of that. So my problem with meeting new friends is that most people I meet in my age group are single and don't want a married person hanging out with them (I don't get that). Then most 'older' people don't want a 'young' person hanging around with them (I don't get that either). I'm just not sure how to get some friends if I'm not in the right situation for anyone to want to be a friend with. I'm not old enough nor single enough. I just don't get it.

hey tyra how are you doing?? i dont really now you but i really wish i did=] well i need your help on finding a perfect friend that will always go out with me on the weekends and do everything a friend likes to do!! my bestfriend always gets into my relation ships and i think she is juss really jelous of me!!! and i need to find faith and happiness!!

Hello Tyra how are you doin???? You don't know me but i wish you did know who i am because i need some help with getting a car i do work.. I work at a subway and i don't make alot of money to buy car.... I am a mother of one and her name is MaKayla and she is a year old so she has knoe idea what is going on in life but i do.. Tyra i have a ADD that means i can't spell and can't read so my life is really had so do you think you can help me and Yes i watch your show everyday not a day go by that i have not watched your show... Tyra do u think you can help me.... Hey Tyra, you dont know me but I use to watch your show all the time.but I cant now because i dont have cable.but anyway, I wanted to tell you my story.about what I had to go thourgh to find happiness.
