Our Community: Your Words: How you Rock Your Nerdy

We've taken the word "nerdy" from a playground insult and turned it into a loud and proud way to rock your smarts, love of science fiction and otherwise geeky ways. Here on Team Tyra, we're way proud of our nerdy, Buffy the Vampire Slayer watching, Twilight reading ways so we asked folks in the community -- how do they rock their nerdy.

Answers ranged from G.P.A to a love of Battlestar Gallactica, but here's a few of our favorite ways.

Comics
Cristian told us how she rocks her nerdy and one of those involves comics. A love affair with comic books once earned kids atomic wedgies and swirlies in the school toilet, but now comics measure high on the cool scale. This past weekend, the long anticipated "Watchmen" movie was a blockbuster hit. Think you're not a comic book nerd? We doubt it -- we bet you've seen "Spiderman," "X-Men," the "Incredible Hulk" and many more. At least the "Dark Knight!"

Video Games
Noelle told us how much she loves video games -- and we agree! When you think video games, you think of someone bent over their computer for hours on end, definitely not interacting with other people. But with the birth of Guitar Hero, Wii Fit and the plethora of karaoke video games out there, video games have become a fun addition to any party and an awesome way to rock your nerdy.

Fantasy Books
Kaity has read seven books five times each -- kinda nerdy, right? If we told you those were Harry Potter books, would you change your mind?
Probably! Fantasy stories used to belong only to the nerdy kid in the back of the classroom, but now they're carried around by the prom queen. We'd like to meet someone who hasn't read either Harry Potter or Twilight -- if not at least seen the movies!
