NEXT: Fit & Sexy Celebs!

hi,Tyra!!! i am a 12 year old girl and soon to become 13 teen years old in 3 months. And i think teen girl are becoming more and more violent because its what tey see on t.v. and the movies they watch and most the people they hang around.Like my mom will not let me hang around one of my friend becaouse she thinks i like her brother!!!!ANDthat i only go to her house to see her and have a sleepover with her is because of her brother named Jared.. like omg!!! okay yeah i have to admit i like him a LITTLE bit but not like a hole lot bc he like hangs around people that do drugs and i really hope that he does not get into it as well.and plus jared does not even live in the same house as his sister he lives with his grandma. and i all ready know not to get into the drugs and drinking bc my uncle drinks. witch is really sad bc i ask him to stop and he says he will but i know he wont. i even cry some times bc im soo afraied that he willl over do it one time and get into really big trouble!!!!i aslo think teen age girls become more violent bc there parents just let them talk how ever they want and let them do whatever they wantt.and that can lead them down the wrong road bc i know how the teen agers act and whatt they do know and there parenst know and they dont know but i really think parents should get a hold of there kids now before its too late and they die or get taken awaaaay!!!!.

A lot of ppl say the media but really it is more then the media it is were we grow up,Many teen like my self are tought sometime to be just as hard core as men that we need to show our strength in society that we are willing to pull a trigger on any one who ain't a brother or sister or from the same hood. to them we are not worthy to be around or even to be their girl friend . the media does a lil part in this but society makes a bigger part we c alot of gangs this days that iz hard for teen females to act like the should.

WELL I THINK GIRLS ARE GETTING MORE VIOLENT IS YES BECAUSE OF THE BAD INFLUENCE IN TV AND OTHER STUFF BUT IT MIGHT ALSO BE CAUSE OF PROBLEMS AT HOME WITH THEIR FAMILY

Okay Okay those re some good Ideas why us teen girls are violent but I am a teen I kno why. Just think about it maybe some girl checkin out yo man you gotta straighten her out. Right?

Hi Tyra, I took issue with a comment that was made on your show during this segment. A mother of a guest stood up and gave the standard reaction, how sad it is to see how this is going on... "these girls today". I hate, with a passion, the "these kids today" comments. These kids today are being raised by the generation that is complaining about us. I left a huge post yesterday but it did go through so i'm summing this up right now but that is the jist of it. We are the prducts of our parents and what we've been taught. At a certain age the kids absolutely need to take responsibility for what they do but until that point, whose fault is it? The parents are buying their kids 4 pairs of UGG boots each, designer bags and jewlery and complaining that tyhey don't know the value of a dollar and wouldn't know how to cut back on anything if they needed to like people do right now. They hit coaches and get in fights for a bad call or b/c someone said something they didn't like but they say "these kids" are violent. They throw money at any problem they have and then say "these kids" don't have respect for anything or know how to act in a civilized society. They don't like our our youth is turning out fine, but there is no one to blaim for teaching the wrong lessons but themselves. I am 24 and tired of trying to prove that "these kids" are not all that bad. My siters and I, while we fight like hell with each other, are respectful, do well in school, are personable and helpful and know how to work for and appreciate everything we have and

girl fights are really tight to see but then again for stupid reasons. im 14 and i got into a fight with my brother's girl and i was only 12 and she was 17 and then i got into a fight again and she was 18 i bearly turned 13. so that broke my relationship with my brother.

okay i stay in the eastside of long beach theres lots of violence over here girls/boys be getting down for any reason espicially b-cuz theres alot of racial tension between mexicans & blacks its dangerous over here

I am glad I not surrounded by violence. I am 13 and go to a private school and live in a little country town. But I would hate to be around it all the time. But u do hear a lot more about it on the tv than u used to.

i think that the reason y they r acting this waay is becuse they r being exposed 2 too much violence!!!

I believe that any girl who fights is angry or hurt inside or just looking for attention. I don't think your mature enough or strong enough to handle the new technological advances such as the media and internet. i live with a family member who believes violence is the answer and they are really angry with EVERYTHING that happened in their life, so they use that to try to prevent mine...I have to pity people like that because they don't want to look inside, they want to lash out and hurt others. a good way to release anger physically without hurting others is a gym membership. Exercize it out! I am a 15 year old teen myself. My experiences with violence make me wanna turn to the positive road. Thanks tyra for this show, however the teens who wanna admit they have a problem will take steps to fix it.

I think girl fights among teens are stupid and lame and idiotic plus it's not very lady like these teenagers need to use common sense they do not have a brain.

They probly live in a violent home or not enough attention.I am 24 now but when I was younger I had that problem but I didnt fight,I just felt like I needed a boyfriend all the time you know like I couldnt be independent,I think it comes from not enough attention from family friends ETC..But I am proof that you can get through it!!Peace and love Jewels

when is the abusive realationship show going to be played on tyra?

It starts at home! Most people who have lost that first human connection with their mothers are at highest risk for addiction, incarceration or death! Thank you Tyra for showing this reality of this problem facing the world of teens everywhere! Teens like those on today's show need role-models to look up to and when the parents lack the tools to be there the community must step in!
