How stress can actually hurt your looks.
Pimples, achy muscles and limp hair - why is this happening to you all of a sudden? If you're feeling super stressed -- this might be the reason for your distressing look. Not only does stress wreak havoc on your body, it can actually wreak havoc on your looks as well.
Here's why.
Skin
If you're noticing more zits than usual and they don't seem to be going away, stress could be the culprit. The tension is causing your body to suffer and therefore it's having a harder time fighting off the bacteria and all around ickiness that leads to breakouts. To solve this zitty situation, just throw your face cleanse routine in to overdrive. Opt for pore cleansing products and make sure you're using an acne fighting foundation.
Hair
You swoop through your hair with a brush and you feel like half of it comes off with it -- what gives! If you're noticing more breakage, again -- this could be the work of the evil stress. To solve your hairy situation, use an intense conditioner and a smoothing serum. Another possibility is that you've been nervously twirling those tresses. Tie them back and don't tempt the twirl.
Body
You've tried a new mattress, you've tried new pillows, you've tried going easier at the gym -- nothing seems to cure those cramps you've been having. When you're tense, you can hold stress in your shoulders and lower back. Especially if the stress is coming from work, you're probably sitting hunched over. Our best suggestion?
