Follow these money-saving, beauty rules.

Listen, we know you're not just going to stop beautifying yourself because the economy is bad. In fact -- makeup sales actually go UP during a recession because they're small indulgences that perk you up. But keep your beauty bill down with a few rules for pretty purchases.

Super-Size Serving
For some things, why keep buying petite bottles over and over? If you're loyal to one brand of shampoo, use one type of razor or love your lotion -- go for the biggen! Save your dough for your name-brand must haves and stock up on your staples.

Fabulous in Training
You might not want to try this next tip for something specific or wild, but if you get the same single-process color all the time, ask your salon if they have nights where junior stylists offer services. The prices will be way less and most likely the finished product will look just as good. And don't be worried -- the stylists are always supervised and are at the end of their training process (if they haven't already completed it.)

Multi-Task Force
We've said it before, we'll say it again -- go for the multi-taskers! A cheek and lip stain gives a great flush to both your lips and your face and is only one item to carry around (and purchase.)

Is that the whole article? 3 tips?!

One of the best rules in shopping, is to shop off-season. Most sandals, bags, and clothes are on sale prior to the season. I just purchased Tommy, Chinese Laundry, and some store brand sandals last week (in this 40 degree weather) for next to nothing!!!

When shopping for clothes, it is best to shop in the clearnace section. It is good, one, the clothes in the clearance sections are the last to the clothing, so noone else will probably have them if you don't want other people to have the same clothing. My qoute is, "Set trends, don't follow them"
