What's in store for the cast of the "Twilight" sequel?

Whew! It was a scary moment for us Twihards when we weren't sure if Taylor Lautner would be recast as Jacob Black. Because Jacob plays such a pivotal role in the upcoming second installment, the powers-that-be were concerned that Taylor wouldn't be able to fit the bulked-up version of Jacob we're about to see in "New Moon." And just how did Taylor respond to that? The dreamy star beefed up and will now definitely be gracing silver screens everywhere as the rough, tough new version of Jacob Black.

Anyone who's read the series knows that a whole new crop of important characters will make their debut in the second film, one of which is Leah Clearwater.

And who's rumored to be playing that part? There's talk of High School Musical cutie Vanessa Hudgens taking on the super important role.

i would cry if they let vanessa play leah, she's not my favorite character but vanessa is not right. leah is mourning a lost love, because sam imprinted on emily, not running around singing about how she wants to be with the hunky basketball star, plus if she plays it, leah has a HUGE role in breaking dawn. if they go all the way with the series *spoiler*(which im excited to see what they're gonna do about renesmee) i dont think she could play how deep and dark leah is, she's too upbeat and preppy

WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT IF YOU STUPID PEOPLE DONT REALIZE LEAH IS TOTALLY A BROKEN SOUL SHE HAD TO LIVE EVERY DAY IN SAMS HEAD SHE STILL LOVED HIM AND HAD TO HEAR ALL HIS THOUGHTS ABOUT EMILY. AND VANESSA HUDGANS COULD PULL OFF THE SAD puppy look if you know what i mean but it is sad she would have to cut off her hair actually if she was a little more pail she would have played a way better bella.christen stewert is to bitter bella has to be sweet and totally in love with edward perfect for venessa ps sorry for the cap locks

I don't think Vanessa will be able to play a roll like that i mean come on she came from high school musical the movie where nothing bad happens and Leah is supposed to be a hunted character her high school lover falls in love with her cousin and ends up getting engaged to her. :(

vanessa won't fit the part.. as well as in the 3rd and the 4th book... she would end up like Taylor Lautner! :) PEACE

I'm sure Vanessa if chosen for this part will do well. But I wonder if her high school musical fame would make twilight fans a little upset? I mean she would definitely end up being a scene stealer and New Moon has too many important parts for one misplaced scene to arise. Then again it could bring on a new level of viewers to the movie, only to not be allowed to watch following movies for scenes that should not be left out the movies.
