What's in store for the cast of the "Twilight" sequel?

Whew! It was a scary moment for us Twihards when we weren't sure if Taylor Lautner would be recast as Jacob Black. Because Jacob plays such a pivotal role in the upcoming second installment, the powers-that-be were concerned that Taylor wouldn't be able to fit the bulked-up version of Jacob we're about to see in "New Moon." And just how did Taylor respond to that? The dreamy star beefed up and will now definitely be gracing silver screens everywhere as the rough, tough new version of Jacob Black.

Anyone who's read the series knows that a whole new crop of important characters will make their debut in the second film, one of which is Leah Clearwater.

And who's rumored to be playing that part? There's talk of High School Musical cutie Vanessa Hudgens taking on the super important role.

NO WAY! yeah shes pretty... but she can not act to save her life! if she was cast as Leah Clearwater it would be an embarassment to the amazing book. i dont think she has the right look to pull of Leah and she definatly dosent have the acting skills for the part. If Taylor Lautner was cut from the movies it would have made such a dent in the movie. taylor is perfect for the part!! sure he's not that tall and bulky but if they can add trees and lightning into a shot then they can sure add a few inches to him.

Duh, keep Taylor in as Jacob but Vannesa Hudgens. NO WAY! Could she please go audition for another Disney movie. This is what I said before. "I think she'd be great in the movie. It's good to choose people who you don't see very often. No ofense there. Just the Vanessa Hudgens thing, you see her on everything that has High School Musical. I've never seen Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, or Taylor Lautner anywhere, really. You see Vannessa on Disney Channel, in the kids section at the store, and on little girls backpacks. It just wouldn't make any sense. I'd be thinking, "How could she possibly blend in to this creepy, crawly bloodsucking series when you've just seen her on this musical that is for kids, she likes this basketball boy who doesn't know to either choose Basketball or Singing with drama." It doesn't make any sense so please, Tyra, if you see Catherine Hardwickle (the director),please please please tell her that the New Moon movie will most likely drop by the sellings or be disliked if she adds Vanessa Hudgens, Selena Gomez, or any of those Disney or most-seen celebs. She said so herself that she fell in love with the Twilight Saga so I know she would love for the people who fell in love with the Twilight Saga like her would be more than excited to see a movie based on a book they loved to have not-so-well-known characters. I simply ADORE the books so please, Tyra, dont let them get ruined." Don't tell me I'm wrong 'cause I am 100% correcto! :D

im releaved that taylor is still playing jacob black in "twilight". but after reading this artical were it mentions that they want Vanessa Hudgens to be leah clearwater its an amazing idea. i just think they need to work with her and not make her as dolled up and girly as she seems to be.

I don't think that Vanessa should play Leah Clearwater because she was in HSM and that will just defeat the purpose of being a vampire she will make it to girly and preppy.

Hello Ms Tyra, I already posted on another place in your site but I will do another brief presentation. I am an European 18 year old boy who lives in Portugal and has high hopes of becoming a model. Although this is my ultimate dream: to become a model, to be an actor is also something that really combines with my soul. i think vanessa is not right for the role of leah clearwater. she's just too HSM for the role..maybe someone like Q'orianka Kilcher who plays Pocahontas together with Collin Farrell in the movie The New World...i think she'd be perfect for the role because she has that native american vibe in her.
