Yet another starlet rumored to join the Twilight sequel's cast.

With the super-hype that's surrounding the film version of the second book in the "Twilight" series, it's not surprising how many casting rumors are swirling around the internet. The latest one is a little out of left field but oddly- we think might work really well.

While the Vanessa Hudgens rumor might remain just that, this latest one has another starlet in the limelight for an extremely pivotal part in the upcoming sequel.

Who is rumored to be joining this time?

Dakota Fanning. The fifteen-year-old is rumored to be up for the role of "Jane." While this blonde cutie may seem like an odd fit for a move about vampires, the role is a very old, very creepy vampire from the shiver-worthy Volturi family. We're not sure about you, but us Twihards on Team Tyra are getting stoked.

OMG they can't possible want to put vanessa hudgens in twilight, she cant act like jane, they dont even resemble and to be honest we dont want any disney channel actor in twilight. This aint a kid movie. i think dakota fanning will be great...Am obsessed with taylor laurtner, damn he hoot...LOVE TWILIGHT!!

omg seriously dakota fanning in this movie...how did this happen??she can't play the role of someone she can't act....jane in the movie is too powerful and i personally doubt that dakota can fill the whole part of the "im the best and there's nothing u can do about it" scene.....thought i don't understand her part in this movie i wish her the best in every movie she auditions for.....new moon is gonna be the best movie in the series..twilight was alright but new moon is gonna be awesome u won't be able to compare them thought the directors changed...the point in the movie must stay the same through out all the movies they produce from the books.....ps(go team edward)

I think that Dakota Fanning will fit perfectly playing the role of Jane, cause shes very alike to the destription of Jane on the book, but PLEASE for Good sake keep Vanessa Hudgens away from "New Moon" please, it just doesn't make any sense, she will fit nowhere. It will be terrible, really.

I think she'd be great in the movie. It's good to choose people who you don't see very often. No ofense there. Just the Vanessa Hudgens thing, you see her on everything that has High School Musical. I've never seen Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, or Taylor Lautner anywhere, really. You see Vannessa on Disney Channel, in the kids section at the store, and on little girls backpacks. It just wouldn't make any sense. I'd be thinking, "How could she possibly blend in to this creepy, crawly bloodsucking series when you've just seen her on this musical that is for kids, she likes this basketball boy who doesn't know to either choose Basketball or Singing with drama." It doesn't make any sense so please, Tyra, if you see Catherine Hardwickle (the director),please please please tell her that the New Moon movie will most likely drop by the sellings or be disliked if she adds Vanessa Hudgens, Selena Gomez, or any of those Disney or most-seen celebs. She said so herself that she fell in love with the Twilight Saga so I know she would love for the people who fell in love with the Twilight Saga like her would be more than excited to see a movie based on a book they loved to have not-so-well-known characters. I simply ADORE the books so please, Tyra, dont let them get ruined.

I think Dakota Fanning will do great in portraying Jane which is one of the members of the Volturi family. I've read New Moon and the way the author describes Jane in the story pretty much resembles Dakota. Although she is a good fit in the character, i would like to see Saoirse Ronan (who plays the young Briony Tallis in Atonement) plays Jane in New Moon. But, I guess Dakota will be just perfect for the role. Shout out to Tyra: "Hi! I'm a fan of yours here in the Philippines!"

ok so 1 thing i have to say im so excited for newmoon eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee its gonna be awsum ive seen twilight 2 on the bigscreen but my mom wouldnt let me watch it more than 1nce sayin "we can always just by the movie" well duh ya well anyways ok sothis jane character dakota fanning isnt exactly how i imangined her but to think about it dakota is an amasing actress she is like 2 yrs older than me and starring in newmoon (im soooi jelous rite now) ya um vanessa hudgens seriously no no no no no no n nonononononononono NO!! ya um she will just ruin the movie and the part she signed up for i dont think she can ever forfill that part all they need is zac efron and it will be twilight musicl but i luv talor as jacob um baby face r they blind dont they realise that they would be makin a hunormas mistake replacing im he is so gd as jacob black if i had to pick an actor that i think most suited the role it would be him . i cant wait for newmonn seriously i luved twilight it was the best !!!! seriously i wish i was able to ordision to be in twilight but im in dubai and im onlky 13 hehe well anyways keep jacob hire dakota um reject vanessa. xoxo im obsesed with the movie twilight eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

let me just start by saying the first movie was terrible and n e one who read the book(not the ones who read it specifically to see the movie you cant call urself a diehard)before they knew anything about the movie and liked it is slow. THEY HAD SO MUCH STUFF WRONG. they did the first half f the book in the first ten inutes of the movie the girl playing bella and the boy playing edward had no natural chemistry whatsoever everything looked soooo forced.his house is supposed to be timeless her computer is supposed to be old and their first kiss DID NOT happen in her bedroom.AAAHHHHHHHHHHH.I'm african american and power to the people but WHY WAS TYLER BLACK it took me and my best friend forever to figure out who he was supposed to be.I feel bad for the people who were in the theatre though cause we sat there critisizing it the whole time.if they put vanessa hudgens in the second one i will go crazy and shoot myself it's an utter mockery.A MOCKERY.still gonna go see the second one though.

I think Dakota Fanning is an amazing actress and she could play being evil very well, but I just can't see her in the part what so ever. Jane is supposed to be beautiful and short and just all together irresistable to all people because she is so adorable. She is supposed to look like she's 12 and then when you least expect it she is supposed to be one of the most evil things there is. I just don't see her being able to really play it to that level. But who knows I guess. I just loved the thought of the more unknown actors than major celebrities. I think it is awesome for someone to get there start this way.

i personaly think tht she could play the role (could being the key word) just b/c she played on disney does not mean crap. And yah i do see ur point when u say they need to star people who arnt well known

I also think that they shouldn't use well known actors because it will just ruin the movie. Its true, hollywood will ruin the movies..
