Hi Y'all,

If "Top Model" and Ashton Kutcher's "Punk'd" had a baby, it would be my new show, "True Beauty" (premiering tonight, January 5, on ABC after "The Bachelor" at 10/9c).

Ashton and I executive produced it together, and I have to tell you, it's a great show! It's a beauty competition where the contestants are not only judged on their outer beauty, but they're also secretly judged on their inner beauty. So, it's right up Ashton's alley because it's kind of like we're punking them -- we use hidden cameras and put our contestants in crazy situations and even bring in actors to help us test what they're really like when they think no one is watching.

It is so much fun to watch, but it also has an important message: no matter what you look like on the outside, to be truly beautiful you have to be beautiful on the inside. I remember my mama visiting me when I was modeling in Europe, and she was looking around backstage at one of my shows. She was amazed at how beautiful everyone was -- all these models and fashion people, but she couldn't help noticing how ugly so many of them were on the inside -- the things they said, the way they treated each other. That's what this show is all about; you can't judge a book by its cover.

We picked 10 girls and guys who think they are the most gorgeous people in America. The 10 we found are definitely smokin' hot, just ask them! You won't believe some of the things that come out of their mouths. Vanessa Minnillo is our host and also a judge. She's a former Miss Teen USA and beautiful both inside and out. Our other two judges are Cheryl Tiegs, America's first supermodel, and Nolé Marin, the stylist who used to be a judge on "America's Next Top Model." They make a great team. It was up to them to make the hard decision of who would go home every week until there was just one person left, the person who truly has both inner and outer beauty. Even though our contestants had no idea what they were really being judged on, they all wanted to win the awesome prize -- $100,000 and a feature in People Magazine's 100 Most Beautiful People issue.

On the "Tyra Show" that airs January 5, I give an exclusive preview of "True Beauty." (I've got Ashton, Vanessa and Nolé on the talk show.) We also do one of our famous "Tyra Show" social experiments and do a little judging of our own -- on some people who think they're unbelievably hot. You have to see what they say and do, and what happens when I tell them we were testing their inner beauty.

And in case you're wondering -- YES, that Ashton is as fine in person as he looks in magazines, TV and the movies. On today's "Tyra Show" he tells me what he finds beautiful in his wife Demi. She is FINE too. And both of them together is just FINE FINE. Fine-squared!

Okay, I gotta run, but watch the "Tyra Show" and "True Beauty" today (January 5!).

Bye y'all,

Dear Tyra, Don't know whether you answer to these emails but here goes. I'm sitting here and watching America's Next Top Model Obsessed and remembering how my sister watched you show over and repeatedly and for some reason I was God not that again; but thanks Tyra. She is now modelling and was able to represent her small little island and countrty on the other side of the world; it's taken her places. Again thank you

I loved this show. It made me realize that it isnt about whats on the outside, but what is on the inside is what matters. You could be the prettiest girl or the hottest guy but when u have a messed up attitude and character on the inside no one gives a hoot about you. Im not always the sweetest person ..heck no one is but this show convinced me to try and control that ... tHanks TyRa.. much love

Tyra, when is the next antm season gonna premier???

Hey Tyra!!! I will have to say I LOVE YOUR new show True Beauty!! Good for you your making yet another hit! I didn't know what to think of Chelsea. She seemed very conceited. After watching the last episode I really do like her. She stood up for what was right!! I wonder what the other contestants that got their clothes so easy would've done in the situation. Glad CJ also listened to Chelsea and stopped!! Wow, that girl really is hilarious!! My fam watches it too and my grandma!lol They all say they only watch to see her! She is hilarious, she really makes that show!! I love her, but of coarse... I still love you more!!;) Your # 1 fan! Karen

Dear Tyra, I am concerned about the message that the first episode of True Beauty may have conveyed to your most impressionable fans. The "innocent" and "scientific" measurement of beauty was not a fair standard to be applied across various racial backgrounds. For instance, female waist-hip ratio and body mass index is not an uniform standard of beauty across ethnic backgrounds. This fact concerns me because there was a young lady of apparent African descent on the show. Albeit, symmetrical features is relatively neutral ground when making comparisons across race, but the overall experiment was not conducted well. Nor did I find your judges to have conducted themselves with tact and maturity when interacting with some of the contestants. For future enterprises that might contain a sensitive racial nature or other such delicate subjects, I recommend that your producers begin to hire consultants with expertise. I would appreciate a response from the producers of True Beauty. Thank you in advance for your consideration, and please do continue making the effort to improve media influences for young people. Best wishes!

Trya, I was really upset after seeing True Beauty. It was horrible the way that pompous doctor measured the contestants beauty by some ridiculous set of standards. I don't blame Hadiyya-lah for being upset and failing to open the door for those guys. She was humiliated on nationwide TV by being told that she was not beautiful and then you marched her down to some mysterious tribunal to defend herself. If you were subjected to that kind of bashing, I'm sure you would be slightly distracted too. I am really disappointed with how you would allow them to subject the African American contestants to some BOGUS white standard of beauty. I expected more from you. You complained that African American women are not allowed to participate in the modeling industry and then you have the nerve to mistreat Hadiyya-lah on nationwide TV. What kind of hypocrite are you? I refuse the watch the show again. And I am having second thoughts about ANTM after you eliminated all of the Black women in session in the first five shows. What was with that? Those sisters were just as talented as the rest of those girls.

FELICIDADES!! Tyra Joselyn
