Now that the "Twilight" director is out, who will be in charge of "New Moon"?
"Twilight" fans are already champing at the bit for the second installation -- and luckily the people are going to get what they want. Unfortunately, this means the original director is out. Because of scheduling conflicts, Catherine Hardwicke won't be on hand to lead the characters in the next chapter of this vampy saga. So who is charged with the mission then?
Hardwicke is best known for directing "Thirteen" -- a movie filled with girlie, teen angst. Her ability to get in the mind of a 13-year-old-girl so well made her a perfect candidate to direct the movie version of "Twilight" because the story is told completely through 17-year-old Bella's perspective. Would "New Moon" be as successful if a man, for example, directed it? While the movie version isn't told solely through Bella's mind, the material is all about the romance -- and, of course, a dreamy vampire.
