And the winner is ...

stylista_finale.jpgDown to the final three contestants, it was practically impossible to make a snap judgment on who would win. Thrown directly in to the fire, the remaining three stylistas were met with probably the hardest challenge ever: the standard job interview. For this, the peeps at "Elle" brought out the big guns -- editor-in-chief Robbie Myers.

Attention: This is your official spoiler alert. So if you were lost in gift-wrap hell, do not read on!

Of course, any assumptions we had about what would go on were immediately out the window. After the interview with Robbie, it was already clear that one of the three remaining stylistas was clearly not the right fit. The top three were pulled into speak with Anne and Joe Zee -- and Megan was sent home right then and there. With one of the surefire fashionistas out of the way, this was anyone's game.

DyShaun and Johanna were then instructed that for their final challenge, they would be styling a celebrity and directing her in a photo-shoot ... for the cover of the magazine. Not only was rap superstar Eve's appearance a surprise, but the remaining two contestants were also shocked. With a gasp and a sigh, Kate, Ashlie, Danielle and Megan made their entrance and were ready to aid either Johanna or DyShaun into victory.

Even the contestants noted that it must have been uber-difficult for Megan to come right back and help, and sure enough, drama ensued. After a few too many hours dealing with her interview and surprising elimination, Megan melted down and wanted to throw in the towel. After speaking with Johanna, Megan agreed to stay, but only as a friend.

The finalists and their teams selected a slew of clothes, gathered their best ideas and went about styling the rap diva for their last challenge. Johanna didn't ask for much help from Kate and Megan, but that didn't stop Megan from looking skeptical about Johanna's purple-themed selections. The final photo shoots went off in a relatively painless fashion, and it came down to two crazy talented finalists.

stylista_winner.jpgConsidering DyShaun's lack of attention to detail but playful writing tone and excellent sense of style verses Johanna's over-thinking but impeccable attention to detail, Anne and Joe had their work cut out for them. Ultimately, it was Johanna who became the new junior editor at "Elle" magazine. Congratulations to the new No. 1 stylista!

Congratulations to Johanna! Although I preferred DyShaun for the position. In any case, I was just glad to see Megan get the boot! I enjoyed Stylista and hope to see it come back for a second season. I think it was lacking in one thing though, and that was someone who was a true role model/mentor for the candidates. None of the Elle staff were very friendly, with the exception of Joe Zee. I would have liked to see more of him! Everyone else seemed very stuffy and unapproachable. I don't know if that was done on purpose or not, but I didn't like it. On ANTM, there are several very likeable mentors - our beloved Tyra (of course!), Mr. Jay, and Miss Jay. On Project Runway, there is the fabulous Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn. This show needs someone with a non-chilly personality that the potential stylistas can really interact with. Just my opinion. Overall, a great show!

I saw the finale as well. I am unsure if Johanna will be good at her position since fashion has to have a fun side, and she is too contolling, but I am definitely glad Megan did not win as she was a b*tch. Just the fact that she walked out on Johanna, proved that. Johanna also failed to utilize her team effectively, which makes me wonder how she will work in a team dynamic. As for Dyshaun, he is definitely talented but a bit toooo catty. When he becomes an editor, he can make smart comments, but until then, he should err on the side of professionalism.

YyaaYya i wanted her to win!

I was rooting for Johanna! Dyshaun is too immature and didn't deserve it as much as Johanna. I'm glad she won :)

Yes I did see the show and I am happy for Johanna. I really liked DyShaun's sense for style and he really knows how to lay out and nice page, but it is to bad he doesn't get detail correct. That was his big down fall. Great holiday show Tyra and I really like the message you told everyone at the end of your show about the true meaning of the holiday and that's what really counts the most. The Tyra Banks Show is the Fiercest Show on TV. Have a very great holiday Tyra. I love you, your the best. Love to you Always Steve , Your biggest fan!!
