PRETTY IS TEMPORARY, STUPID IS FOREVER!!!

It is very stupid to blame tv shows.Yes they are children of God,but in the Bible God also says thats its a sin.In these shows you dont see the people getting pregnant.Do you?Teens shouldnt go around having sex and without protection,and then going around blaming it on someone else.Its dumb and stupid.You cant blame all the parents cause there are parents out there that do care and do talk to there kids and there kids dont listen.You also shouldnt follow in your friends foot steps.If you lay down with your legs spread open without protection and you do get pregnant then you should keep the baby and take care of it.Not your parents you!!No one should sue Tyra. Thats what i think

i do believe that shows like gossip girl and other shows of the nature do have an influence or make you think about doing some of those things....BUT!!!!!,,,,not enough to get pregnant and have sex whenever or have unprotected sex...it's unfortunate that those girls think that way but it's not their fault.

I feel that if a teenager wants to lay down and have sex they should be ready to be a women and take care of there childern if they end up pregent. Personaly i wouldn't have sex with nobody that i feel isn't good for me!!!!!!

This whole thing is crazy! Teens in the 60's AND 70's been having sex and getting pregnant! It has nothing to do with TV! It's the parents' fault for not giving teens "the talk" and about how to make right decisions! When I saw those girls on the show, I said to myself, "Where are their parents? Where they at?" and why in the WORLD are thsy not in the show? It's these poor girls all by themselves infront of MILLIONS of people watching at home! Everyone who has small children or are desiring to have kids, I say to you. WHEN THE TIME COMES, IT'S YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO TALK TO THEM ABOUT SEX, IT'S CONSEQUENCES, AND HOW TO USE PROTECTION IF THEY DECIDE NOT TO GO FOR ABSTINENCE! WE HAVE GOT TO STOP SLACKING AROUND! THERE ARE TOO MANY BABIES BEING BORN IN THIS DANGEROUS WORLD, LET'S STEP UP AND BE THE ADULTS THAT WE ARE SUPPOSE TO BE!

tv show not at all most kids now a days dont even watch tv show ,they are doing what their friends doing .i think its not tv show but unprotected sex .i am living in japan and more and more young girls are having sex ,get pregnant & having abortion its like a game and most of them are not afraid to say how much time they have abortion .

No thas jus crazy, I believe ppl use excuses for their mistake or find cop outs to hide. Can't nobody make u do n.e. u don't wanna do. Life is about choices and the choices u make dictate the life u lead. However; I do believe a lot of t.v. Influences a lot of ppl. I feel television has a huge impact on many ppl. And that it creates bad images that's all.

I dont believe that tv causes teen pregnancy I think that it is more so a personal influence, and the eviroment in which a person placed, although im not going to say that there are not some things that tv use to influence sex which could lead to pregnancy but no tv does not encourage or tell anyone hey go get pregnant it's cool.

I thought I would watch re-runs of Sex and the City. It apparently was a very popular show so I thought I would watch and see why it was so appealing. What an eye opener. I couldn't help but be afraid that if I had a teenage daughter or young adult who watched this show they would think it was okay to jump into bed continually with any man. It is made very glamorous. The girls are appealing and sexy but with no morals. I know the title is Sex and the city and that is what it is all about. I wonder how many girls have become more sexually active and become pregnant or got STDs because of what that show portrays.

Why were these two losers even on the show with Vivian? What a shame they think they represent young people today. Do they even know how lame they are? Did they think everyone would feel pity for them for watching shows that a million other people watch and don't get pregnant, drunk or drug addled? Not only did they look and sound stupid, but after reading their comments about how they were duped by the show, it is also evident they need some serious help forming sentences and spelling. Turn the boob tube off and get some education.

Hi Tyra, I do not believe that these t.v. shows create the urge or desire to have sex. I watch Gossip Girl and 90210, and I do not feel the need to party or have sex. It is an individual's responsibility to know what is wrong and what is right, and how their decisions can affect them. I think these girls were old enough, regaurdless of the lifestyle they live at home, to understand the outcomes of having sex and partying. My parents are divorced and my dad never talks to me about sex or partying, yet I am fully aware of the possible outcomes from doing these things. They are seventeen, and teens usually start learining about sex ed in middle school. It's not that I am trying to judge them,(infact, I admire their decisions to not have an abortion!)it's just that my sister became pregnant at seventeen and she never blamed anyone but herself. She should have known, but it happened, and she dealt with the consequences, so it is difficult for me to sympathize. It is important for all children and adults to realize how sex can affect you afterwards, with STD's and pregnancy. Infact, I hope teens start thinking about chastity, regaurdless of their religion, but that it might help them in the long run. It's not going to help blaming any one or anything for the consequences, and realizing that it was their fault will help that person move on quicker and make better decisions in the future. Todays show was crazy. To blame tv is just crazy. TV didn't make these girls lay down in the bed and have sex. When I was 17 I knew that if I was going to have sex I use protection to protect myself from everything. I'm 31 now and the world has changed A LOT since i was 17. These girls are just trying to balm someone for there stupidity. They need to wake up to the real world NOW.

After viewing this show it was shocking and I was LIKE HOLY CRAP!! Blaming the media industry is not going to make people feel sorry for them. Each individual is responsible for there actions. If an individual does something and they know consequences that are linked to them then face them. I am pretty sure in school they must have brought up SEX a couple of times to use this and that.
