The controversial "Girls Gone Wild" creator spills all to Tyra.

joe_francis.jpgWhen the founder of the much-talked-about "Girls Gone Wild" videos comes to the Tyra Show for an exclusive interview, you KNOW the conversation will be too hot to miss. Joe Francis isn't a shy guy -- and he certainly doesn't keep his Hollywood connections and secret star stories under wraps. What does he think about Lindsay Lohan's relationship with Samantha Ronson? How did Paris Hilton save his life? And what was life behind bars really like for this mega-millionaire? You'll get the answers to these questions -- and more info too hot for us to dish here -- on the show.

You tell us: Would you care if your boyfriend watched a "Girls Gone Wild" video?

Firstly let me just say I absolutely love TYRA for the most part and support MOST things that she does. That being said, I was really hurt by the fact that as an intelligent woman Tyra Banks does not have the sense enough to know that at the end of the day the decision to be on GGW is the young ladies (you never wanna drill the girls but you keep asking Joe Francis back so you can have a GRILL SESSION) and it is obvious that any parent that would try to say that his/her 18 AND OLDER daughter was taken advantage of so much that she signed a CONTRACT is absolutely ridiculous!! There is no way that any human being deserves to be put through what Joe Francis has been through and for Tyra to make that, to me, very hurtful comment at the end and not even show any compassion for anything that he was put through I personally think is completely evil and is something that really causes me to rethink how much I appreciate Tyra Banks. True, by no means should Joe Francis have compared himself to NELSON MANDELA but I do understand what he meant by saying that he stood up for what he felt was extreme injustice although at the time others were against him, when Nelson Mandela was put through hell because of apartheid, the people running his country did not agree with him and punished him in order to force him to think like them! THAT IS WHAT HE MEANT...you didn't even give him a chance to get that explanation out Tyra. I'm truly diappointed and judging from things you've said this yr on your show, i'm really starting to rethink my support of you.

I did not see the show, but I don't know why people are bashing Joe for his girls gone wild stuff. Yes he is a bad person for evading taxes, etc. But girls and families that are suing him..what a joke. The core of what the families are upset about is that now the whole world knows their little angel is actually a little skank that will do anything to get on TV. And when Girls Gone wild comes onto a campus it is annouced where they will be ahead of time, so it is super easy to avoid that bar and big bus that says girls gone wild. all the girls that ended up on those videos I do not feel bad for, its not like its a surprise they ended up on it. And this stuff sells, so if the public hates it so much...stop buying it! As far as my husband watching...I don't care.. I have more self confidence than to worry about a bunch of college aged girls on a video acting like idiots...they are showing private parts big deal...no respectable person would ever marry them anyway. Their problem not mine!

OK I saw a little bit of the show and really wasn't going to comment on it until I read the comments and the more I read the more they bugged me because of what people were saying about Tyra not handling herself well. I honestly think that Trya handled herself very well on the show. This man had a hard time and she seen that but someone said that they didn't agree with Tyra saying she by no means agrees with his line of work and still having him on her show. Well I understand why Tyra had him on her show because she think what he went through was hard but by them saying that she should have said that they are saying she has no rights to say what she thinks and what her beliefs are TYRA IS AN AMAZING WOMEN WITH A GOOD HEART WHO HANDLES HERSELF VERY WELL I LOVE YOUR SHOW AND CAN'T WAIT TO BE A GUEST!!!

My boyfriend knows about Joe Francis' history & illegal behavior & knows how I feel about his videos (which were not nearly as offensive to me before I found out what a terrible person & a criminal he is). So yes, I would absolutely care if my b/f watched his videos & would be more upset if he watched those than videos with even more explicit content. At least those videos require the participants to show & verify that they are overage & the women get paid for what they do- the GGW girls may get a t-shirt with the show's logo, if that. They face all the consequences & make nothing while Joe makes money off their bodies & a ridiculous ideal of 'liberation' & 'freedom'. Oh puke! The GGW are real girls with futures who have been encouraged to get wasted & show their stuff & will be in their profession one day & face real consequences of 1 drunken weekend; also many of them are underage. I would care.

According to the psychiatrist, this was the diagnosis: Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder vs. Bipolar Disorder vs. Cyclothymic Disorder and Personality Disorder w/ Immature & Narcissistic Features The second diagnosis is particularly troublesome & has been described by some psychologists as being 'successfully psychopathic' while those in prison are merely psychopathic. In other words, its only a matter of time before the law catches up to these individuals & they are unable to keep themselves from committing crimes & going to prison- no matter their resources.

Joe Francis is the ultimate narcissist- he has the gaul to compare himself to Nelson Mandela, are you kidding me!?! And he has the gaul to state a 'prostitute' does not have the right to sue him- the ultimate of pimps. Make no mistake- this guy is a low class thug with multiple convictions & charges (including bribery of a guard while in prison), tax evasion- which the trial is still pending, possessing drugs & paraphernalia (outside & while in prison), & is currently charged with filming under aged girls, assault, and sexual assault. Many of these charges are still pending. He is not the innocent persecuted victim he tries to portray himself as. If he is being supposedly railroaded & taken advantage of by the media & opportunistic girls- why does the same type of stuff NOT happen with the other smut peddlers- Heffner, Larry Flynt? This has nothing to do with women/girls wanting to show their bodies. Otherwise he & his crew would NOT need to feed the girls copious amounts of alcohol to get the girls to show their stuff. This is not about sexual liberation. He is not just another smut peddler- Joe Francis is a thug! A psychiatrist hired by Francis' defense team stated in his report that Francis demonstrates "significant psychiatric issues"- among those seem to me to be delusions of grandeur & persecution & obvious egomaniac. I find it amazing that ppl on this blog are defending him without first finding out his history. Tyra was not at all judgmental & if he had been on any other show- he would not be treated with such kid gloves. The show came off as very sympathetic- more than it should have been probably. He claims he was in jail (not prison) & implies he

I am just watchin the episode with Joe. As a woman and as a woman who would never go on Girls Gone Wild, I think that people are being very harsh and extremely judgemental. People talk about womens rights and empowerment to women yet when they do something that is empowering to them and it is shown by a man you say he is exploiting them. Well its hard to exploit them when they say its ok. We can take pics in our bras but we can't flash our breats. We flah for Mardi Gras all the time and have been doing it for years. When someone makes money off of it then all of a sudden its wrong. Now as for the coffee shop with girls in a bikini, it sounds like fun. I use to be a waitress and during a party that was thrown by a large company, the girls waiting on them had the choice of wearing a bikini. Well needless to say we all wore our bikini. Were we exploited. NO! It was harmless and lots of fun. I think that people need to lighten up. There are worse things in the world to be worried about. All I saying is that you shouldn't judge people because no one is perfect.

omg!! just watched the episode and it was very interesting listening to his experiences and work...however i thought Tyra was a little judgmental...a person's career should have nothing to do with their personality. yeah he exploits women blah blah blah! but at the same time everyone deserves respect and i think he handled it well. I love Tyra!! but if you don't agree with what he does then why have him on your show?! your just giving him more publicity!! i was very disappointed with the way she handled herself in this episode!

Joe is a vulgar low-life. It is very disappoiinting that Tyra permitted herself to be used by Joe in his transparent attempt to rehabilitate his criminal reputation. Joe is not at all the victim; he is a victimizer. Tyra should have just said "No" to Joe. Instead, the show's producer's describes the show thus: "When the founder of the much-talked-about "Girls Gone Wild" videos comes to the Tyra Show for an exclusive interview,..." as if he was some important political figure. Let's see how "exclusive" this "interview" turns out to be - I'll bet we see Joe all over the media in the days ahead. SO VERY SAD

Why didn't you tell Joe Francis what a complete piece of garbage he is? Why doesn't he take pictures of his own manparts and sell that on a video? He is an exploiter. I have no problem with women selling their "stuff" or with nudity or any of that. But he is profiting from something he has no right making money on. He is obviously a smart guy. But it astounds me what our society rewards people for.

Hello Tyra, I just watched the rerun of the Joe Francis show. It seemed to me that you were very judgemental towards him throughout the show. Don't misunderstand me I would not be a part of Girls Gone Wild, but he is not forcing any of these women to expose themslves. The are models that pose nude all the time, do you share the same opinion about them? I love your show but you seem very harsh when you disapprove of someone else. Thank Toya
