A psychic visit, daddy drama and launching a music career -- it was a busy night!
When Kim dragged all of the girls to the middle of nowhere to meet with her psychic Rose -- who we must say, looked more like our sweet grandmothers than a mystic --the women were skeptical. But when the outspoken NeNe decided to get a reading, the reading hit too close to home. The psyching told NeNe she would be getting an important letter and that something father-related would come up in her life. Creepy!
A few minutes later, we found out that NeNe did indeed receive a letter from a relative who claimed that the man Nene thinks is her dad, Curtis, is not. So an understandably freaked out NeNe returned to her hometown to try to set things straight. But things didn't get any clearer when she met with relatives, so NeNe called Curtis -- it was the first time they had spoken in two years! And the drama only escalated from there.
When NeNe asked Curtis if he had doubts about being her father he said: "I had doubts, even before you were born. But I just let it go." So NeNe insisted that they prove it with a DNA test. Can you say cliffhanger? Looks like we'll have to wait until next week to get the answer to this one!
Meanwhile, somewhere else in Housewiveland: Kim wants to launch her country singing career. Thing is, we didn't hear her sing much -- so we can't exactly judge her chances of making it on voice talent alone. But Ed, her daughters' music teacher, did give her some songs to sample ... including the silly-meets-cringe-worthy "Tardy for the Party." The chorus, of course, is "Don't be tardy for the party." Eeesh. We didn't know whether to laugh or hit our remote's mute button.
But big-time producer Dallas Austin had plenty to say about the sad tardy-party rhyme. He couldn't help but crack up. Needless to say, he didn't love Ed's songs, but he DID say he had some ideas for Kim and that he'll get her a serious vocal coach who has worked with the likes of Usher. Sounds promising!
And, of course, there was drama building between the housewives. DeShawn was busy planning a fundraiser to benefit her foundation, which works to build self-esteem for inner-city teen girls. Where's the drama in that? She wants to auction off dates with her friends and acquaintances -- but Sheree is less than open to DeShawn's request to auction her off for a date. In fact, Sheree was downright cold. We definitely haven't seen the last of that drama-rama.
Next week promises plenty of Hotlanta tension. It seems that Kim and NeNe's super-bond will be challenged as Kim's friendship with Sheree strengthens. Uh-oh! Are we seeing the makings of some new frenemies?
You tell us: Who is your fave housewife so far? Anyone getting on your nerves? And do you think Kim has a shot at making it in the music business?
