I think the problem is that parents try to tell their kids not to have sex an if they are as rebellous as I am, they will end up doing it to see what the big deal is. Personally, i want to wait untill I find a man who trully deserves to recieve my precious gift. I've almost had sex twice with two different guys but when i said No they ended up leaving, so I'm REALLY glad i didnt go through with it. hey tyra, im 16 almost 17 years old and i am a virgin. i have had many oppritunities to have sex but i never said yes, it wasn't that i didn't like the guy its just i was not ready and i knew that. honestly i think it all depends on the situation. for instance, some girls are more emotionally ready to have sex before other girls.In my opinion you should not have sex until you are 15+. middle school kids just should NOT be having sex.

I personally think that 15 and below is too young to have sex. You can't have sex when you're not mentally and emotionally ready and mature. If so, most girls will just regret it, like me.

First of all, i really don't think anyone could really answer that question. You can't really ever know if your really ready. You can think your ready and hope your ready but that doesn't mean you truly are. I'm 15 and i have been homeschooled all my life, which made everything more dificult for me. I have had 4 boyfriends three of which pushed me heavily for sex...they never got it. I was reading some of the posts and just wanted to say to other young women to be true to yourself first. I am 23 years old and a recent college graduate, I am still a virgin, and yes I dated someone all the way through college for 4 years and we did not have sex. Many girls I saw in highschool and college gave themseleves too quickly and had a terrible time later coping when the relationships ended. For all young women give yourselves the opportunity to grow, go to school, develop your own talents, and create your own passions. Believe me the person you are at 15 will not be the person you are at 23 the amount you will learn, observe, and experience will help you to make the decision to be sexually active when you can fully handle the consequences. If you are 15 enjoy being 15 such as being involved in highschool social groups, school dances, and sporting events. When your 18 you feel like you have offfically became an adult and have reached some kind of independent right. Then when your 23 and you have celebrated the 21st, gone to school, worked, had a chance to experience all kinds of parties you will be surprised at what you would have learned and how much you have left to discover.

Hey Tyra this really caught my attention. Im 17 and am no longer a virgin. I cant say i regret losing my virginity but at times I do. I was 15 when i lost my virginity to a really good guy friend of mine. I didnt regret it bc i know him really well and it was his first time to. I believe that it is their personal choice to have sex, i myself am gonna try my best to wait till i'm married.
