I am a thin young lady that never gains any weight really except for when I was pregnant. I just want to know can you have a show about gaining weight instead of losing weight. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE. thank you

Ytra,
love ur show! I would like to see something about mixed women and men. Something to exploit that black men and white men go for the steriotypical women. I myself am a fully white women that has several black features and I have only dated and have married black men. But in my dating experience, I have been talking to black men and as soon as they find out that both my parents are white and i am white, they are done with me! Not all of them are that extreme, but most of them say that I look mixed so they are willing to take me home to momma, but our parents could never meet, because then they would know that I am caucasion. So maybe a show about skin color and features of women that men are attracted to and what would happen if they were to see where they come from.

Also there are a lot of people out there that go tanning to ultimately change there skin color. So i saw the blog on bleaching skin to be lighter, but what about people that are tanning to become darker. why do they do it and are they feeling differently or getting more or less attraction from different people and are they pursuing these new attractions.

think about it!
love ya

Alison

Where has all the Beauty gone? - 41 (New York)

THE TRUTH ABOUT ME

I can't find a woman or man that intrigues me that is real. I'm real and I only speak the truth.

Why does my honesty scare you?

I miss Marina from the L-Word. She was the best thing about the show. I wish I could find mine. Exotic, worldly, confident, intelligent, predatory and vulnerable and damaged at the same time.

I love Dexter, House, Criminal Minds,Saving Grace, Boston Public, Ugly Betty, Eli Stone and The Closer. My no longer secret pleasures are Gossip Girl and Nip/Tuck and The Secret Diary of a Call Girl

My playlist now contains Amy Winehouse, Madeleine Peyroux, Sara Bareilles, Muddy Waters, Pink, Miles Davis, Poe, Sam Cooke, Roy Orbison, Leona Lewis and Coldplay, Howie Day, John Mayer, Mary J, Jill Scott, Cowboy Junkies, Heart, Alicia Keys and Cassandra Wilson to name a few. How can any one forget Billie Holiday and John Coltrane. I collect music like books.

I had a collection of leather bound books from the Easton Press The Hundred Greatest Writers. My father when was in the hospital the many of times after my mother lost her 8 year battle with ovarian cancer, let his GED niece sell them on Ebay. He also sold my prized signed copy of Ansel Adams greatest photographs that my mother had given me as a Christmas present. I hate the holidays now. I majored in English at NYU. She died in my arms. I signed the DNR order. Music soothes me. So does writing. I have terrible insomnia. And I see and feel everything while being numb at the same time. So I learn.

As you can tell Virgina Woolf is one of my favorite writers. To The Lighthouse tells symbolically my story.

My favorite book is Great Expectations. Do you want to know why?

That's what I did when my grandmother died also from ovarian cancer at the age of 59 when I was 8. She was diagnosed when I was four. I don't remember much about here except that I couldn't see her on the days when she was so bad that her Doctor had to come to the house to give her morphine injections. What I do remember is her sitting on the couch wearing a white turban while I was doing my homework and watching classic movies that they use to show on channel 7 and they weren't colorized. That was the beauty of them. I also studied film at NYU. That's when women like Bette Davis, Katherine Hepburn,Joan Crawford, Greer Garson and Ingrid Bergman were role models.

My playlist also includes Lenny Bruce, George Carlin, and Lewis Black. So you know my sense of humor. I was an A student who studied philosophy, art, music, marketing and I actually taught my economics class because my professor was an English teacher and he couldn't explain Microeconomics. But a C student from Yale who partied is running the country.

I took a Tibetan personality test and you had to put names next to colors and I put my mother by white. It meant twin soul. Red meant the person you loved the most. I associated it with the one I hate the most. Can you guess the name? It was the one who fell asleep while my mother was suffocating to death and he fell asleep. When I asked him how can you sleep? He responded what do you want from me I'm tired. She fought 8 long years and went though hell for me and he was tired.

Do you think big? Do you have dreams? Can you make me laugh? Can you intrigue me with your mind and seduce me with your aesthetic and intrinsic beauty?

Can you deal with a lawyer who has the soul of an artist but can't practice it because she hates lies and associates it with cancer. My mother was diagnosed during my first year midterms and I was diagnosed with breast cancer during my finals. I was 27. Ironically, I need a lawyer now and I was just turned down by a prestigious firm because I wanted to reveal the truth about the system, police brutality, the abuses of mental institutions, medical malpractice, and it's correlation with parental abuse and domestic violence. When I spoke to the intake attorney I asked him if there was any such thing as a decent attorney? He asked me if I knew I was being insulting? I guess not everyone gets sarcasm. Not one of my finer virtues. Nor is my intolerance of fools.

To redeem myself I did focus my studies on constitutional law and theory, legal history, feminist theory, domestic violence, entertainment law and intellectual property . I passed the bar in three states and am licensed in NY. Maybe that's why I can't find a lawyer. I was asking for Justice and Societal reform.

I also studied photography at the New School. I wish I can take a photo that perfect.

Enough about me

What is the Truth about you?

Can you look into my piercing green eyes and not break eye contact? Will you let me see you and trust that I am decent and if I see pain in you I would never let anyone hurt you. But if I don't, I will stay away from you and if you come after me I will defend myself by exposing the Truth about you. Do you listen to the lyrics of music? Does art move you?

Do you feel lonely? Are you socially and politically aware? Most importantly, are you decent?

What was the worst invention to society? The atomic bomb or the Internet and its spawn?

You walk around New York and everyone is either on their iphone talking or texting someone or has an MP3 player plugged into their ears. We have been gentrified and Disneyfied. I miss the hookers in Times Square and the sex shops. I miss the village the way it use to be where everyone got along and it was liberating. I miss neighborhoods where parents knew each other and all the kids would stay out during the summer and play hide and seek. Now no one makes eye contact. Ride the subway and what do you see? What happened to common courtesy? I can't find anything beautiful and interesting to photograph. I miss the towers in the skyline. I miss individuality, boldness and sensuality.

If any of this strikes a chord with you, please respond to me directly. I love to learn as well as teach. Lastly, please do not respond with profanity. Ignorance is not bliss and no excuse for bad manners. And please don't hide behind your computers and not respond without a name.

Thank You
Carolyn

Tyra, I would like to see a show about mothers like mine who can't really suport me and has to struggle everday whos doing everything for me even if we can't eat.But my father works every day he drives a truck and he owns his own truck but will not help my mom. She tryed getting a lawyer but they want to much..my mom is paying for my braces right now and can't afford the lawyer fee. I have called my dad and ask him for things like shoes and school clothes he alwasy say he'll see what he can do. My dad will not even call me to see how Im doing. And it's not like he lives that far away from me he live at least 30 minutes away. I remeber the day my mom asked him to put me on his health insurance and he said no and at that time we needed his help because my mom was getting rady to get a two bedroom home. But after he didn't and I got really sick, We have to stay in our one bedroom apartment. It's really hard to see my mom struggle like this because since i'm 13 i grow constantly and i really need new clothes and it breaks my heart to have to see my mom struggle like this because my father won't help her out in anyway when he has a three bedroom house two cars and a dog and a plasma screen tv but he chosses not to pay my child support.Almost everyday my mom cries and it hurts me because my mom wants to move and live better but we can't afford it becuase my dad isn't helping out
well that's i think that would be a good idea for your show which is great by the way
sincerely
alexis

Hi, Tyra! My name is Kendra, I am 12 years old and i'm from Canada. I think that for a show you should have an episode with Jesse McCartney, Hilary Duff, and some other stars and you could challenge them to all have a sing-and-dance-off on your show. That would be soooo cool. I hope you like my idea.

Tyra,

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE BRING THE JONAS BROTHERS!

Tyra,

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE BRING THE JONAS BROTHERS!

Tyra,

The Jonas Brothers are a very big hit right now, and millions of people love them. It would be so nice of you to get them on your show. They are very talented, and they have already been on the Ellen Show, Oprah, and Good Morning America! Please bring the Jonas Brothers on the Tyra Show!

Tyra,
You always talk about being real, and you have done lots of shows where you tak your make up off, and your in your underwear. You have even shared with the show about your weight, and passing gas.

I thinks if you want to be truly real with everyone, you should not wear you hair weave, or lace front wig. I think in order to truly say your a regular girl, and identify with every lady out there, you should wear your own hair.Don't get me wrong, i'm all for weave's! Sometimes a girl needs that extra bit of hair. But, if one of your main messages is excepting yourself, and being real, i think it would be great to do that yourself. Not a lot of women are fortunate to be able to get there hair done, and bye hair to be sewn into their head.

I just think if you want to be a good role model to girls coming up in age, you should be all natural! Especially to young black girls growing up. The Barbie doll image is'nt going to help us know what true beauty is.

Tyra,

I love your show but I think you should have a talent show of some sort. I am a heavy set women and have been singing for about 20 years and trying to make a career out of it but because of the way I look I get over looked most of the time it is always the same thing you have a wonderful voice and a great personality but they all say the same thing your look is not marketable and that is just a nice way of saying you are too heavy. I would love to have the opportunity to come on your show and show the world that big girls can get a shot. I hear you always pulling for the big girls so I hope you really do look at these and get back to me it would really help out with a lot of bigger women's self estem. I am also a recovering addict and have been clean for 5 years. I put on a lot of weight in my recovery.

Hey Tyra,
I love your show! I have two ideas here!

First, I think you should do a show where you give makeovers for moms that cannot afford to buy themselves any new clothes and stuff. I am a mom of 2 daughters, and I never buy myself anything, I only buy for my girls. I would rather get for them, than myself.

Idea #2:: I keep hearing in the news about these parents who "accidently" leave their kids in hot cars all day causing their deaths, and the parents are not getting into trouble. I really cannot see how so much of this could be happening when we are all hearing these stories. As a parent, I always look in the back seat (even when my kids aren't even with me!!) I think these women should be getting into trouble. The law is saying that it is not neglegent. What is it then? This is giving parents who want to "get rid of their kids" an easy way to kill them and get away with it! I am disgusted. This would be a great show! I am going to make a lens on Squidoo about this soon!!!

Love ya,
sarah

Tyra,
I love your show! You always have something great on! I just wanted to say that I think you should do a show where you give makeovers to moms. I am a mother of two daughters and I never buy myself anything, always for them only. I would love to have a makeover.

Another idea I have is to do a show about how parents are killing their kids and not getting into any trouble for it. I am so upset to hear about another child being left in the car all day long to die and these parents are not getting charged for anything. I see a serious problem when this happens so much, and the law is saying it is not neglegent!! I am getting ready to make a lens about this on Squidoo. It really angers me!

I am 37 and my husband is 57 going on 58. He literally could have sex 20 times a day. He says that it energizes him and that he has to have it. I think one of the reasons he married me was because of the sex. Now the sex to me is like doing laundry, routine. I have not told my husband this I just do it. I wanted to know if there are other women out there that are in the same kind of situaion. I love my husband and he is awesome but you would think I would be the sex maniac. The funny thing about it is that he as kids from his fist marriage and his kids have no idea how frisky their father is.

Hello,

I think the world needs to give avarage women chance to shine as a model. Why do you have to be either plus, skinny or tall what about regular and just hot? Or even women with lots of style come on and call me when you have that show girl! When your a cover girl model you barley get body shots its mostly profile so how can I be down with that without having the perfact body but the best face?

Miss Tyra,

I LOVE YOU!!!
Ok, that's not what I am here for. You want show ideas, I got some ideas.

Concept 1: I know you are about empowering when loving themselves and embracing themselves. The good things that we do in the world. But what is one of the things that woman love? Men! Why don't you have a show dedicated to the wonderful men in the world. The man that do volunteer work, the stay at home fathers. To show another side of men, showing that there are wonderful men out there, that not all is lost.

Concept 2: One that is close to my heart as well. But a show about the hidden secrets people hide. From suicide, to family divorces and feel that they have no one to hear them. I have tried to commit suicide twice, and I feel that I am alone, not having someone to talk to or relate too.
There is this man name Frank "something" and he has people send postcards, with their secrets written on them. Some are really sad and others are beautiful, and I know there is a lot of issues in the world. But I thought this would be something you can work with.
