i dont know why everybody thinks its so great to be skinny. no matter how hard we try we cant gain wait.. everybody wants to feel sorry and help overweight people. but underweight people suffer to. yes we are picked on also and ive dealt with some bad issues and school because im an Ectomorph. We get it just as bad as the overweight.. but the good thing about being overweight is you can change your size if you want to.. if you want to be skinny it is possibly. a person like me who eats everything she gets ahold of and still cant gain a pound. its a curse.. so the grass isn't always greener on the other side. remember that

Hey Tyra! My name is Raman, I'm Indian, and I'm 16 years old. I've always wanted to be an actress or scriptwriter. I know it is difficult, but I really want to follow my dreams. There are so many obstacles in my way and some times I feel like giving up. I was recently asked if I wanted to work for a small modeling agency but I wasn't given permission by my family. They believe that if I did it, then it would negatively affect my reputation and no boy will want to take my hand in marriage. I think that's a little over the top, but I don't know how to tell them what I really want to do. They expect me to become a lawyer or doctor. I don't want to :(. Should I go for it, or listen to everyone else? I'm scared of failure and I don't want my dreams to shatter. I don't know if I'll make it into the industry. What should I do? BTW, you're amazing and I love your show :).

Hi Stephani, I noticed you wrote your comment more than once, you asking for some help. I don't understand what it is you are doing wrong can you give a detailed example. Parents need to start looking at them selves first and realize that once our children come to a certain age they are their own person. We may not agree with everything teens do but we as parents had our own issues too. You mention your stepfather do you and your father communicate. Have you gotten in any trouble at school,etc. I have 3 boys and 2 girls the baby is 16 all of my children are their own self person I don't always agree with what they say and do but I am there for them if they are wrong we talk and I mean we do some serious talking one thing I have learned to do as a parent is to LISTEN, just because I am a parent doesn't make me right with everything I say or do. Maybe counseling will help you sounds as if you are a good teen, but don't stop loving yourself,keep your grades up in school as best you can if you need help regardless to what is going on at home ask for help, try to enjoy your summer with your friends, I hope things work out for you with your parents, ok Love ya Lady D
