Tyra, your Mom is so beautiful. I am around her age and complexion but have had problems finding makeup products that really fit my skin. Her makeup is faultless. I realize she has professional makeup artist on her staff but they may be using products that I can purchase. Tyra’s Mom, please, please share your makeup secrets with me. Thanks

I really loved this show, i am a aspiring model and i have been following chanel iman's career for a while now and i am very proud of her and i can really appreciate the fact that she and all the other models carry themselves with such poise and class! Tyra I want to say congrats on the Harper's Bazaar cover, however I think it's really sad that there is a black woman on the cover, a black woman on the back ( naomi w/ysl) and other than that there is only one black woman that actually has a spread inside the magazine! I want to join this struggle to prove black is beautifil...any suggestions?

I just loved this show more than so many of the others. But I guess I love all your shows. I have been watching since you started. I am 65 years old and once was a model from Detroit, but career only lasted a few years. Things were a lot different (maybe not much different) then. I wish I had a mother like yours to assist me. This show and your beautiful mother was soooo inspiring. I cry everytime I see you speak about your mother. You are blessed to have such a wonderful relationship. May God continue to bless your shows and with the man that only God has chosen for you so you can have those beauatiful babies that God has ordained for you to have. It WILL COME, In Jesus' name, Amen.

Hi Tyra, I don’t usually do this but I just had to contractual you on the wonderful job u did on the show today. I was more than happy when I heard about this all black issue of vogue (I am still trying to get myself a copy) but for you to have taking the time to show people everywhere that we are still around and to have really embrace the beauty of this issue brought tears to my eyes. I was once myself an aspiring model but I’m not any more. As a teenager dealing whit everything a normal teenager already has to deal whit, I just don’t have what it takes to be turn down over n over again due to my skin color like I was so many times before. That’s why it was really emotional for me to see all these pioneers and legends of the black modeling industry. Thank you so much, because this issue of vogue along whit the show today is going to give young aspiring African American models everywhere a fare chance in this hard industry. Thank you because your show brought sooooo much more to this truly historical moment in the modeling industry and in the African American history!

Hey Tyra, I am watching your black models show as we speak and I must express the sense of pride and inspiration that I am currently feeling. It is admirable to see so many generations of beautiful black women collectively working towards breaking down the barriers/sterotypes that have been placed on black beauty for so many hundreds of years in both mainstream North American and European societies. I thank you for the steps that you are taking to change both societal and individual perceptions of beauty. Tyra, if it is at all possible I would APPRECIATE IT GREATLY if you could help me get a copy of the magazines that are being reprinted. I am in Canada and I have not seen them anywhere here and I am pretty sure that they have not been distributed in Australia where I will be relocating to in the new year. I am returning there to continue my career as a lawyer and to marry my aussie man who has always seen the beauty in me. Anyhow, if you know anything about Australia you know that it is a very homogenous society and the perceptions of beauty there are VERY limited. (blonde, blue eyes, very skinny, etc)- Just look at the models that have come out of there recently, though I admit there are some brown haired girls (if that counts for diversity???). So Tyra, I know my partner and I will be raising kids in Australia some day and I know they will likely be faced with the same beauty issues that I have. Even if they are not, I am pretty sure that they will not be seeing black faces gracing the covers of any Aussie magazines anytime soon. So if you can help me to collect the full series, I

Tyra you and some of those models look like you are trying to lighten up with that white chalk makeup. The bleaching has nothing on this crazy looking makeup your wearing. Tyra, you are not that light. You guys look like George Washington and friends up there. Same insecurity as the bleaching girls, no doubt.

It seems like all the models are wearing white chalk make-up, including you Tyra. The bleaching story yesterday has nothing on the lightening make-up you models use, your not that light without makeup, You guys look like George Washington and friends!

Hi Tyra, I really enjoyed your show on the Top Black models. I was blown away about how many of us are out there and how long we have been modeling. I am 5'6, 37yrs old and small body frame. Is there a age limit? I know that the average model is 5'8. Is there hope for me. I would really appreciate your advice. Thanks, Karen

It's funny that you say "black" model issue, but it's obvious that half of those models are only part black. I mean, someone like Chanel Iman could represent more than just the black community (i mean, did anyone see here mom?). I think it's weird to represent mixed race women by only a part of their race. Same thing on top model. one model said in the first episode that one of her parent's is black and the other is native american but she only refers to herself as black...is she ashamed of her native side, or just trying to score brownie points with tyra?
