Tyra: Shame on you and your producers for not mentioning "Naomi Sims" the first Black model to gain world wide recognition in the 60's. Naomi Sims appeared on the cover of Life in 1969. Before Beverly Johnson ,the Naomi Sims Collections of wigs and beauty products were sold in leading departments stores across the nation.

Anonymous, Your grandmother struggled with adversity. Women in those days had it rough. YOU should be celebrating those ladies instead of crying wo is me... And, YOU know I am right. If it were a white hostess with ALL white models and celebrating their whiteness, you blacks would in an uproar. You are just from reading my post. :)

why does there still have to be racism in the world? i mean seriously im 16 and tired of most of adults being stupid get over it we are all human and all different colors and sizes just love one another!

Loved the show today. But I feel that with all of the global concerns for the environment these days, balloons should not have been released into the atmosphere.

I am so sick of people trying to diminish the fact of black women celebrating their greatness!!! My God!! Black women have always been oppressed!!! Women in general have made progress from oppression but being black still plagues us today!!! I'm not saying you can't be proud to be white or any other race and ethnicity, but I have a huge problem when white people say it's not fair to express our black pride!! Shut the hell up, whites have never been oppressed because they're white, white women have had to overcome some obstacles but not like black women. If you see what we're celebrating and how far we've come, then you would understand. I can't expect people to understand the black experience unless they live it!!! and it is an experience!!Congratulations to Tyra and all the great models of the past, present and future! Yall did it and continue to do it!!!

Tyra, I love the show "Black Model Tribute," it gave me the hope that I can make it in the modeling world. The show makes me believe that no matter what I will make it. My family don't believe in my modeling dream, but seeing that I am not alone in my struggle, makes me want to work harder. Thank you so much and I hope nothing but the best for your show.

Hey Tyra, I would first Like to say I have always Admired you and I love the show I have been a fan since Day one! I would like to state however I feel you good improve on a few things... We as women should be striving for unity. It would be viewed as improper to have a show about top white women model or white pide... I believe that black women have been opressed (as well as all women) throughout the years but I believe the major way to move past it, is to do just that, we must put it behind us and find a way to unite together. On your show the other day about black women bleaching themselves at first I was shocked... but Then I thought Is that really any differnt than white women being obsessed with tanning? And if it is so shocking that black women want to be lighter why sin't it shoicking that sooo many white women want to be darker... It's ironic As some Black women want to be whiter there are just as many if not more white women trying to become darker... Both are being told by media that one is prettier than the other The issues we face are the same just differnt views of it. I use to be one... I paid early for it.. I am Hispanic, native american, and irish.. intresting combination, but if you look at me I am white.... I became obsessed with being darker I thought that I wasn't pretty because I was so pale and I was intimidated by others that were darker... I tanned alot.. I stopped when I was pregnant with my first child... I felt so ugly... But recently i found because of my tanning i have skin

Tyra, I first want to Thank You for a beautiful show today. As I watched the show I felt proud to be a Black woman. You have an anointed beautiful soul and I feel like God put being a talk show host in your path and you're following it very well. Every time I watch your show you inspire me as the beautiful woman I am. When you all walked out in the streets of New York I got goose bumps all over my body and I felt such a sense of pride with you all. I must say this is one of my favorite shows thus far. I do have a lot of shows I really like that you've done but this one is at the top of my list. I agree your mother is the most beautiful woman in the world, she raised a beautiful daughter so Thank You mom. Last thing i want to say to you Tyra is my wish is to one day meet you in person. I know I could not afford to come to your show but maybe one day you'll come close to where I live and I can meet you face to face. I will continue to pray about it. Keep up the good work my sister. Much Love Always

The shows are fabolous. Keep up the good work Tyra....!!!

TYRA, YOU JUST KEEP GETTING WORSE . . Enough is enough. I have had it up to here with BLACK. How about having a show that is promoted by ALL WHITE super models. WHITE this and WHITE that. We cant because jerks like Jessee Jackson and Al Sharpton would picket till hell froze over. This email is not by any means being sent to deminish the exqusite beauty of each of your models on your show today. These women should and must be commended on their progress just as you should be Tyra. However, your shows are more and more seperating races with your "BLACK" shows. If a white show host came out and said that she was going to showcase only WHITE super models and was so proud of her WHITE sisters and on and on. You blacks would be in an uproar.

I really loved this show, i am a aspiring model and i have been following chanel iman's career for a while now and i am very proud of her and i can really appreciate the fact that she and all the other models carry themselves with such poise and class! Tyra I want to say congrats on the Harper's Bazaar cover, however I think it's really sad that there is a black woman on the cover, a black woman on the back ( naomi w/ysl) and other than that there is only one black woman that actually has a spread inside the magazine! I want to join this struggle to prove black is beautifil...any suggestions?
